I am on the waiting list for a knee replacement and suffer from severe pain when walking. This Tens Machine allows me to still walk my dogs and potter around my garden with MUCH less pain. I would highly recommend it.
Surprisingly works
The lowest setting is also good enough to help with pain and this is a very good quality machine. The only negative is that the battery doesn’t last very long and it says it lasts 20 minutes but it’s even less than that.
Great pain relief
My last unit (different make) broke and I saw this.

What REALLY like is that it remembers the last settings – even after being switched off, which my last one didn’t. That saves me having to trawl through the different settings – great bonus feature!!!
I used my old regularly and I think I may use this one even more.
The belt buckle is, also, a great idea!
Small and large pads are both great and have been re-used and moved around multiple times.

Excellent piece of ki
The machine has 2 channels which really helps particularly with my lower back pain as it increases area and the massage setting means the pulses alternate across the area affected. The main body of the unit is about the size of a computer mouse and comes with a handy belt clip and it is charged via a USB.
Really impressed with it given the price of it. Lower back pain has improved after a 10 minute session.
Great Tens machine
This Tens machine has several functions so I could choose the massage function and with renewing the 60 minute timer am very happy with it. Am passing on this Tens machine details to an acquaintance who has back pain.

This has really helped with my bad back and it works just as it should, most of the pads are worn out now but that’s ok I can get more, but the unit it self is working just fine with no issues and it charges very fast thank you
Fantastic for sciatica
The best way to deal with sciatica if you are overweight (like me) is to loose weight. Trouble is, sciatica makes exercise painful. This little gadget really helps. It was (for me at least) the difference between being housebound to being able to walk. Love it.
My huspand has slipped discs and sciatica and I have achilles tendonitis. This is the first time we have tried anything other than pain meds and chose this unit as it was portable and fairly cheap too.
It is a compact unit, with 2 channels and has a range of different programmes and intensities. It comes with 4 large pads and 4 small pads and the conductive gel is reasonably sticky.
It takes time to work out the best placement, programme and intensity that suits you, but is easy enough to experiment.
The battery life is excellent too.
This machine works better than we ever expected and the effects for me seem to continue for a while after use.
The handy holder and clip enables you to walk round whilst using the unit and as its so small, its incredibly light, but robust all at the same time.
Not sure how long the pads will remain sticky, but I wet and clean them after every use as advised.

Just arrived a few hrs ago,out the box and on me already .I’ve been a tens machine user for yrs as have chronic pain issues,but folk this product is the bees knees literally…I luv it already.I set it up on the acupuncture settings and quite honestly it is absolute bliss I KNOW this is going to help my pain tremendously and can’t wait to use it properly later in ,this was just a wee taste tester.Its a slick looking wee piece of kit too a lot better than my standard one electrode one that I have already,it’s fairly easy to get to grips with the instructions and that says a lot as most things go in one ear and out the other with me…it has a kl wee pouch to put it in and a clip to attach it to clothes,personally i put mine in my pocket …it also a smart wee piece of kit for putting your electrodes on,a lot easier than trying to put them on the plastic they come on…..all in all a very good piece of equipment for the price.I would recommend…I am in heaven at the moment with another 15 mins on my 30 mins cycle
brilliant for pain relief
very gimmicky the big screen isnt needed all the different pictures are just pictures and dont feel anything like the description this is my second my 1st was a boots one and just had 2 modes and various levels and patterns exactly like this but no screen no pictures u just pick the pattern and strength that works for you but fantastic price great pads and works a treat in built battery seems to last too i prefer being able to add batteries as when the batteries fail in this or become weak you are forced to buy another instead of just putting fresh batteries in so not very good for the environment but honestly glad i bought it and would recommend if you suffer from pai
Very Impressed
I found this Auvon tens machine to be top class. It is very easy to use. Once fully charged it last for hours. The pads are very sticky and stay put once in place, I tend to leave them them on all the time rather than taking them on or off. I wear it in bed to use in the night if needed. I am currently suffering with really bad Siatica, I sometimes have to move the pads around to find the best position ( but remember to turn the control to off before you do this, or you get a nasty shock, as I found out but it certainly teaches you a lesson ). I would highly recommend this and give it a ten out of ten. I’ve had it for a few months now and even though I I woken up once to find the pad stuck to the bed sheet they are all still really sticky. I have only used the large pads up till now which I think are more useful than the small ones.
Just been delivered. I’ve never used a tens machine before….my goodness this was amazing!! My neck and shoulder pain is almost gone. I was falling asleep because the tension was easing. I should’ve bought one of these years ago. Cheaper than a massage. Fantastic stuff.
Great little tens machine. Very easy to use. Neat. Easy to read. Lots of settings to choose from. It arrived already charged & I’ve not had to charge it myself yet. Relieves pain & is very relaxing to use. Pads adhere very well on first few uses then not quite so well but still useable. I would say this is well worth the money.

The AUVON Dual Channel TENS Machine arrived next day and I put it to use over a few days and was pleased with it :-
It is lightweight, pocket size and has a belt clip.
The timer is in 10 min increments up to an hour
A battery charge lasts for a few days of intermittent use with power left over.
There is a good range of functions and intensity levels
The pads have a good lifespan.
It helped me to move around for necessities
It reduced my need for pain killers – this is a case-by-case basis for the person, the pain and their use of the device.
I found the use of this on my painful muscle to be beneficial, I cannot make any statements for anyone else or any medical claims about it, this is my own experience.
On first usage the TENS device feels weird until you get used to it and start feeling the benefit of it.
I love that this has the option of using two sets of pads, which I perhaps needed to use but didn’t.
Friends have recommended TENS machines to me for a few years but I was sceptical about them. Now I have one, I know I should have got one years ago!

I bought this because of on going back pains and trust and believe it gets the job done. I use it almost every day and I’ve never needed to charge it since then. Go ahead and purchase. After a long time of work I make sure to pop it on and it relieves the pain so much that I fall asleep.
First time I have ever used a Tens machine, but I have had plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis for some time now. The machine instructions were easy to follow and it was fully charged within an hour. I was a bit scared of switching it on, but I needn’t have worried. It is a pleasant tingly sensation and I’ve tried on both calves and feet this evening. It’s lovely and relaxing and the heel pain was greatly minimised almost immediately. Too soon to say whether this is just masking the pain or helping me heal, but it feels lovely.
I’ve purchased this Auvon Tens machine as my back has been very uncomfortable for the last week.
At face value it seems ok, & I’m sitting here getting shocked
My only criticism, is, whilst the guide is very detailed, there’s no [best] mode to match to a particular pain/ache?
I’ve initially chosen mode 14 on intensity 3, which is quite punchy at times but nice & varied
But, is that best mode for lower back pain, I’d have thought amongst the descriptions of the modes, they’d match them to an ailment
Any advice or guidance appreciated
I bought this tens machine because I was In so much pain someone suggested it to me I am so grateful to that person this machine has helped me so much to walk my dog again and to control the pain it’s small enough to fit nicely into your pocket there is many different variations on the machine the best thing I have ever bought in my life belive me when I say it kills the pain my pain is with my spine, so if anyone is in pain no matter what it is get this machine it will help you no end .
And the price is very reasonable 30 and reusable patches so good
I suffer from Sciatica and bought this after reading about TENS devices. I was sceptical to say the least. It works and I cannot praise it enough. I place the Stickies on either side of the pain site fairly close and within seconds there is relief. Obviously this isn’t going to fix the sciatica problem but it eases the pain. The pads last through many uses (to be honest I haven’t counted how many but I’ve had it 2 weeks and swapped out 4 pads although I do use it quite a bit. I often find I change the Mode as different modes have very different effects. I have tried it once on the highest setting on my shoulder muscles and wow, it was powerful, far too powerful for me to stand.
I cannot recommend this device enough. Will be ordering a second, just in case.
Lasted two yrs
I brought this back in April 2021 and have used it on and off for different reasons. It worked well when I had kidney stones twice but it had tobe turned up pretty high thankfully it’s a powerful unit so that was good. Recently I’ve used it on my back as I’m suffering from muscle spasms which can be extremely painful and debilitating thankfully it offers a lot of relief, unfortunately it’s not behaving itself anymore, when I have both channels connected when I turn one up it affects the other ie I can feel the pulses on both channels which isn’t ideal. It’s a shame as it’s been a real benefit in the past so I guess it’s time for a new one which won’t be the same manufacturer. I expect something that hasn’t been constantly used and has been cared for to last longe
I don’t usually write reviews, but this machine works and it works well, so I feel compelled to help someone out there who is suffering with period pain/cramps. I’m so grateful and relieved to have found this TENS machine. I suffer from severe, debilitating period cramps every single month. I’ve tried everything I could find to reduce the pain: cbd cream, naproxen, mefenamic acid, all kinds of natural remedies. I can honestly say this machine has helped me 1000% more with managing the pain compared to other methods. Everyone is different , but I have found this works for me. So if you feel like you’ve tried everything and nothing seems to help, I would highly recommend giving this a try. Although I still have a bit of discomfort from the cramps, it’s no where near as severe when I use this. It’s discrete and portable so you can carry it to work or the bathroom, hook it onto your top or bottoms because it has a clip. You can adjust the settings and try out the different modes which I really, really love. You will like some of the modes better than others so choose the ones that feel better to you. I stick two adhesive pads to my lower abdomen and choose a mode/intensity and feel relief within minutes. You can stick the other 2 adhesive pads if you want but I find that 2 is enough for me as the vibrations spread quite far across my abdomen helping to reduce the pain. The sensation is very relaxing, mimicking a massage feeling on the area you place the pads. You can set the timer anywhere up to 60 minutes which is brilliant if you want to take a nap or do something else, which is exactly what I do. I was skeptical at first about whether it would help, but I can now say with confidence that it does. I’ve had this on all day today because the first day of my period is always the worst and it has been a huge help. The battery is still on full bars!
This is my 2nd Review in a week (ie 7 days after purchase of the AUVON TENS unit).
I have now been using the Auvon Tens unit for a week and the overall results are tremendous (U-TOE-PIA)
For 10 years I have suffered, increasingly, from chronic pain in my left foot. It is debilitating to the point I cannot walk for more than 100 yards. I cannot stand for more than 5 minutes. Following 3 different surgeries (2 x sesamoid bones removed and a metal plate screwed on top of the big toe to prevent joint movement. The pain is worse now than 10 years ago. Medication gives minimal relief and only subdued the pain temporarily).
The AUVON TENS machine offers 20 different modes and intensities to suit personal choice. 2 x pads are placed on either side (or above and below) the point of pain. My pain is in “The Ball of my Toe”, commonly called Metatarsalgia (pain in toe joint). Most people with foot pain seem to suffer with Plantar Fasciitis (arch of the foot) but no-one seems to offer much advice with “Ball of Toe” pain, and no-one has advised about TENS treatment to this area – I experimented until I found “U-TOE-PIA” (my invented slogan!).
Notice how I have placed the 2 x pads in the photohraph. 1x pad on the ball of the toe and 1x pad an inch lower in the Plantar are (arch area, middle of foot). Of the 20x modes I have found that mode number 4 which is the Korean Massage works great for me. I set it to number 4 intensity (some people may prefer 3 or 5 intensity, personal choice). This produces a gentle “tingling” sensation from the big toe across the 2x pads. Utopia for me! All the modes are beneficial and range from massaging, kneeding and accupuncture. Accupuncture (mode 3) has also worked well for me. Also the Scraping mode (mode 8). They all have adjustable intensities set by each person. The timer can be set 10/20/30/40/50/60 minutes. The unit switches off after the timer has finished. I have used the smallest pads available 4cm or 5cm to make it easier to target the pain in one specific point (joint, nerve or muscle). The pads stick extremely well and are re-usable (30/40 times). I found it also helpful to wear a sock as this creates a cushion for the wires and makes the pads UNDER the feet just as comfortable.
As I have a metal plate screwed into my big toe, I was dubious whether I could use a TENS machine. Before I purchased the unit, I asked the hospital surgeon/consultant if it was possible to use one on my foot especially as the unit sends electrical impulses between 2 pads. His professional answer was that “it should be ok” but he suggested using a low setting to begin with. From an obvious POV, he said switch it off if there is any discomfort. GREAT NEWS – I have used the TENS unit now for 7 days and the results are absolutely fantastic with no side effects due to the metal plate. The important thing is to seek medical advice especially if a user has heart conditions or a pacemaker fitted. (NB each person MUST use settings that are OK for that person. All I can say is that it works for me.)
NB. I also tried the pads on 2 of my smaller toes and also placed on the ball of the foot. Hey-presto, It worked, but not as efficiently as it is difficult to make a great contact for the sticky pads.
The AUVON TENS unit is extremely well designed and has a solid well-made feel to it. It measures 10.5cm x 5.5cm (4″ x 2.3″) and the display screen is easy to view and understand. This unit has 2 channels (A+ B) enabling 2 separate areas of the body to have treatment. There are 20 different modes (incl acupuncture, Korean massage, kneading etc) and many more. All of them are accessed by a solid button (up or down). There are 20 intensities (subdivided into half steps increments). Both channels can operate separately and independently and can be programmed separately into 20 modes and 20 separate intensities. All options are operated by quality push buttons. The menu is on screen and very simple to navigate. The screen illuminates when any push-button is touched and stays on for about 5-10 seconds then reverts back to normal to save battery life etc.
There is no “fumbling” through instructions to activate anything. There is an easy-to-read manual and all cables and leads are included. The battery is long-lasting and charges up by a USB cable just like a mobile phone charger. Several pads are included of different sizes. I have been using the smallest pads for the sole of my feet and toes and are extremely comfortable. The “sticky” side of the pad is very effective and stays in place. The pads are re-usable. There are accessories available called conductive gloves and socks that can also be used. I have decided to try to obtain a few pairs of “conductive socks” which allows the TENS unit to be used whilst walking. I understand that many people use the TENS unit all-day at work or whilst travelling. The setting I use for my feet is usually 3 or 4 out 10. This creates a gentle tingly feeling across my foot (specific areasd can be selected). I then know that this is aiding blood circulation and massage type therapy.
I know it is early days yet, but I know the TENS machine is already a life-changing improvement for me. I feel that in future, I will use the smaller pads so that I can place them on the sole of my feet. I will also obtain the conductive socks for my chronic foot pain.
OPINION
The AUVON TENS unit is an awesome unit. They could use my logo such as “AUVON – PAIN GONE.”
In my opinion, the settings are best to create a “tingly feeling” for me. I know there are some units on the market that virtually give an “electric-shock” treatment, but the AUVON is so flexible, it can give treatment in so may different ways (acupuncture, massage, kneading TENS, EMS and lots more). For the price ((about 30 UK, June 2021) it is an absolute bargain. I wish I had bought this unit 10 years ago. After only 7 days of use, I already feel much better. Much of my pain is due to arthritis, which cannot be cured. But now, I am able to walk a little more and not be in pain whilst I am wearing the TENS unit. I am sure there are many thousands of people will be able to do the same at work or walking for leisure.
(NB. I my case, I am happy to use the TENS unit for several hours. Many pain sufferers may decide to use the unit for 30 minutes or an 60 minutes in the morning or during the day. Each individual should decide what suits them. I have a metal plate fitted in my foot and there are no side-effects whatsoever.)
I have not been paid to give this review and I have not received any free products. The views are entirely my own, trying to be of help to other pain sufferers. This unit is suitable for anyone with foot, ankle, knee, back or hand problems. It’s early days yet, but after only 7 days, I know the AUVON TENS unit is life-changing for me. My life will get even better as time goes by. Peoples ideas may differ, but I wear the TENS unit for a few hours each day, nearly continuously. I am aware this might cause muscle fatigue, but I feel Ok for now. WELL DONE AUVON (This is not a paid review. Just trying to be helpful.
I previously used one from our local pharmacy and it was awful. This one however, is so powerful. I cannot tolerate it to the highest power setting yet but I use mine for tight muscles and a trapped nerve in my back and neck.
I may have used it a bit too much on my neck, and it feels a bit like a pulled muscle now, but that’s my fault.
It’s important to note the TENs machines aren’t just for pain relief but they do provide a bit of a workout for your muscles, too.
On my back, it felt amazing. Best way to describe the lowest setting is like warm water spreading across your back, and the higher the intensity it gets tingly and then higher is just painful. But we don’t need that setting right now.
The different modes are great. Anything from a slow spreading sensation to small jolts, or almost like pinprick tingles.
It’s not a cure for my pain, unfortunately but it helps with those muscles and gives some relief.
The only way you’ll really know if this type of product is for you and your pain is to try it.
It’s all very easy to use.
The only 2 downsides for me so far is the cables that attach to the pads. Each cable splits into two, so you can use 4 pads at any one time. But the cable ends only split about two inches apart. So those two pads you use with that cable have to be in the same area otherwise you can’t plug them in. Which is a nuisance.
The second issue I have is it would also be nice if you could dim the light on the display. It’s really bright and blue so if you’re using it before bed to relax, the light might be a little jarring in a dark room.
These are the only 2 reasons I gave this product 4 stars.
If I have any other issues I’ll come back and add them.
But so far so good. It’s worth paying the extra for the extra sets of pads too whilst they’re reduced in price!
