Callaway Chrome Soft Golf Balls

Callaway Chrome Soft Golf Balls, Prior Generation, (One Dozen)

Low Spin Off The Tee For Exceptional Distance

Low spin off the driver for maximum ball speed and distance with the SoftFast Core. The core is the key to long, straight distance off the tee, and our optimized HEX Aerodynamics makes Chrome Soft even longer by reducing drag and increasing lift.

Low Compression For Incredibly Soft Feel

The low 65 compression lets you compress the ball on iron shots for incredibly soft feel, and it’s amazing around the greens. Now, all golfers can compress the ball like a Tour player.

Excellent Control

A high level of control for aggressive shots into the green comes from soft feel and the Tour Urethane Cover. It’s built for consistency that you can depend on with every shot.

I’ve bought these a couple of times during promotional periods where they are around 2 a ball. In my view they are just as good as pro v1’s at half the price.

I was very happy with these balls. I have seen some recent reviews suggesting Callaway has a prblem centering the cores but I didn’t notice any strange flights with the pack I had. They have a very nice feel around the greens and the colour makes the balls easier to spot in the rough. I find them very good for blind tee shots where you can’t see the landing spot so I always carry some even for rounds when I’m using a white ball.

Love the feel of the ball. The only thing that bothered me was that I noticed an increased glare in sunny conditions. Kinda made it hard to see the ball when stood over it. Maybe the colour is more reflective of light than a white ball? Would buy Chrome Soft again but probably in a different colour next time.

I’ve changed to these after using DT TruSofts for a while. The usual ‘it hits long’, ‘stops well with irons’, but the thing that I love the most about these balls is how they feel when you putt. I much prefer the softer coating on it and it really does allow me to ‘feel’ more on the face of the putter.

Usual question.. How does it compare to a Pro V. Titleist have done a fantastic job of being the number 1 golf ball out there, truth is they have been resting on their laurels. This is a better ball (performance wise) no doubt. It’s softer and spins more around the greens, distance wise it’s slightly longer (this is backed up by launch data). It’s also significantly cheaper which doesn’t hurt.

Used for the first time today,I am a 21 handicap but found that I was hitting the ball further than my Dunlop which I have always used.Good feel to the ball long and short, hope to improve my handicap.Feel more confident.

Coming to these from Hex Blacks I have been pleasantly surprised by these. They have a lovely soft feel reminiscent of old balata balls, especially when putting. If you like soft feel, these are great. Performance wise they spin well, have comparable distance and work well in the wind. They wear very well too.

For the price point, I think they are superb and I don’t have any desire to go back to the Hex Blacks despite still having a few boxes knocking around.

I have been looking for a ball to play since the ball played was discontinued and trying many I have found the one for me. Good distance and feel at a reasonable price. Handicap 13

Play with Pro V1 X but thought I would try these. There is a difference around the green….not quite as good as the Pro V1 X. but for the price difference, can’t go wrong really….so I would say it’s all down to the individuals preference. Personally I’m back to the Pro V1 X.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersQuick delivery with no issues. Thought I would try these balls after looking at all the reviews, I usually play with Srixon so it will be good to compare. The price like all new products is a bit expensive but will be cheaper once they have been around a while.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI’ve used these balls for a few weeks now and they do what Phil Michelson says they do – long off the tee but with tremendous stopping on green with irons! Titleist just lost a customer!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGolf balls aren’t all made equal, playing with these definitely showed that. Superb on putting and short game. Felt great off the driver as well and the length was pretty darn good as well.

Waiting for summer to come and find out how much wedge spin I can get.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHave been using Callaway for a few years now and can honestly say this is a great ball. Straight and long with a great feel around the greens. If you haven’t tried them, do so, you won’t be disappointed
