Good locks
Bought 3 of the 4 digit locks, 1 of which didn’t work. Even though I only raised this issue after the return date had passed I was sent a replacement within 2 days. Excellent customer service. The locks are easy to set up and work very well.
Great produc
These locks were easy to set and big enough so that they aren’t too fiddly to turn the numbers. They feel sturdy and unlock smoothly. They would also work on gym lockers. Great purchase and great price!
Does the job
Read reviews which said one of the two doesn’t work. The one I’ve used so far is fine. Quite smooth and easy to set a pin. (Just need to remember it!)
Good locks
Got these locks for this summer travel, used them twice so far. They are quite light, which is good as there is always luggage weight limit you can have.
Setting passcode was easy, as there is an instruction on how to do it.
Overall, really happy with the purchase.
Simple and secure
This product made travelling with the peace of mind that my luggage is safe a breeze. Initial setup for the lock is very straightforward, and the product itself seems sturdy and high quality. Very happy with this lock.
They’re a very nice padlock with a good quality feel.
I bought these in the belief that if security needed to inspect your case then they could open the lock without damaging it.
Having just returned from Canada we found that the lock was missing and a nice note from customs explaining that they’d opened the case for inspection.
It did seem kind of pointless paying more for this lock when customs just get out their bolt cutters anyway
It is early days but thus far the locks have been used on several taxi journeys two ferry trips and two flights. They’ve been exposed to downpours of rain and look as new as when they arrived.
Set up of your personal combination is easy and the four digit combination adds that added level of security over and above the three digit locks.
The locks seem to be well constructed and solid.
Longevity has yet to be judged.
Locks are Heavy
I bought 4 of these locks. These locks are heavy. Not sure if all such locks in this segment are this heavy considering weight optimization during travel. Just unpacked and set the code. Rest all looks good. Hopefully will be sturdy and will share experience on usage!!
These locks feel like a good product and were a good price for five locks. However, like all TSA locks of this type they do not offer the level of security some sellers appear to claim. I purchased mine for travelling. The idea is they are there to stop an opportunist from opening a bag to either remove something, or worse, to place something inside. Especially while you are transiting through a port. Let’s face it, a determined thief can get inside a soft suitcase or bag with a blade. These locks have the TSA Master Key 007 that allows your luggage to be opened by TSA agents without any damage. However, be aware that a TSA Master Key 007 can be purchased online.
I bought these to put on our suitcase, for a forthcoming stay in London. I wanted a way to stop unauthorised access to our cases, in case there was a need to leave them unattended in the Hotel at some point during my stay.
The locks seem well built and the number dials are metal and feel solid when they are turned. The instructions for showing how to set your own combination, are clear and easy to follow, and I was able to change the combination to my desired choice within a minute.
Has these are TSA locks, these have the TSA key slot, so that customs can open these if required, without needing to bolt cut the lock off.
All in all, at 8.99 for the pair of locks (which was the price at the time I purchased) this is excellent value for money and I can highly recommend.
A very late update:
We used them on our trip to London and they opened and closed flawlessly. We had to leave our cases with the Concierge in the hotel on two occasions (when we arrived and for around eight hours before we left as our train home wasn’t till 5pm) who put them in a secure room. We also left the cases (within sight) on the train and it just gave us the piece of mind that no one sitting near our cases could sneakily reach round and open the zip and remove something from inside.
