Micron quality and reliability

As one of only three global memory manufacturers, and with 45 years of memory expertise, Micron delivers cutting-edge engineering and superior component and module-level testing for all Crucial DRAM products.

  1. Only DDR5-enabled CPUs/motherboards support DDR5 memory. Not compatible with DDR4 motherboards.
  2. Crucial DDR5 desktop memory modules (UDIMMs) can reach rated speeds with Intel XMP 3.0 or AMD EXPO turned on in the UEFI/BIOS settings. Applicable for all Crucial DDR5 desktop memory (UDIMM) modules except Crucial DDR5-4800 desktop memory, which supports only Intel XMP 3.0. Based on published competitor specs for DDR5 memory as of October 2022. Altering clock frequency or voltage may result in damage to computer components. Micron disclaims any and all liability for such damage. Voided if Crucial DRAM modules are set to overclock beyond JEDEC specifications, rated speeds, and timings.
  3. DDR5 speeds are comparable to extreme-performance DDR4 memory speeds and, at 4,800MHz, at least 1.5x faster than maximum standard DDR4 speeds of 3,200MHz.
  4. DDR5 data rate of 5,600MMHz transfers 1.75x the DDR4 data rate of 3,200MHz.
  5. Under memory-intensive workloads, DDR5 can deliver up to 2x the bandwidth, per an internal simulation of dual ranked x8 modules in client platforms.

Bought to replace my Corsair RAM which came with a manufacturing fault, these worked seemlessly, were on par performance wise and were cheaper.

I also have a nvme drive from crucial and this also runs great. Really becoming a fan of crucial

Bought a singular stick of 16gb as it was extremely cheap compared to other market items, no complaints on the speed or usability of the stick. I then bought 2 sticks of 16 at a discounted deal. They worked fine day one but the next day I was getting a blue screen related to RAM issues. I removed one of the 2 new sticks and was able to boot.

very happy with this set, it used it to upgrade my alienware aurora 13 from 8GB to 16GB.
I’m using it for photo editing so I can’t comment for gaming use.
Personally, I’m very happy with the performances.

At this price, it’s a steal, it seems the days of DDR4 are over as the price difference is negligible now.

Seen some reviewers saying it’s running at 4000, bear in mind, you need to enable XMP profile in BIOS to run them at 4800, by default, it’s 4000. Also, make sure you push them firmly and hear that click, if it’s not installed properly, it won’t work/show up in BIOS.

Design and features- these are simple “old school” RAM modules, which is pretty much all you need anyway. And speed, there is no benefit of having faster memory in real-life applications, for games, there will likely be a GPU bottleneck, and productivity tasks are likely to max out CPU long before memory frequency.

This is a good quality RAM kit that offers solid and stable performance out of the box but also give you the headroom to overclock should you wish to do so. Price wise it’s a little expensive compared to the competition but you are getting RAM from a trusted manufacturer with a lifetime warranty and great support. Still, it would have been nice to see something a little extra such as heatsinks included for this price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Basic but reliable RAM kit from a trusted manufacture

Can’t complain about the performance, but the sticks I received were a very tight fit for the MSI B650 WiFi board… To the point where it felt like I might break them getting them seemed correctly. Not sure if this is the board or the stocks fault though.

    TL;DR
    got 4 sticks of 8 gb CT2K8G48C40U5 4800mhz.
WORKS PERFECT with Asus TUF gaming x670e + Ryzen 7950X

previously tried to install 6000mhz gskill 2x 16gb sticks. non stop random blue screens and windows corruption. thought it was RYZEN 9 7950X, was able to rule out.
thought it was motherboard asus tuf gaming x670e but was also able to rule out by picking up a 2x stick of this exact ram. once confirmed it was good bought another pair to top out at 32gb.

smooth sailing since then and the 4800mhz hasent affected speed by much at all.

another lesson that speed dont matter if its at the price of stability.

    cherry on top?

    SUPER affordable.

Price is a bit high but that’s mainly because of the shortages. The service made the price seem worth it. They called and checked if a alternative would be better for me. Gave me a serial ID so I could validate the product I was getting. Very very friendly and super customer service.

I was luckily ordered mine with only 93.99GBP on 11/12 and then Amazon adjusted the price later…thanks for the price guarantee system. It works fine with XMPI on ROG Z690 MAXIMUS FORMULA.
