Cleaned the drum but left a degree of residue afterwards which required me having to run the rinse program to remove it.
My manufacturer recommends using the drum clean option with a quantity of domestic bleach. I just thought i would try this product instead. after pouring into the drum and running a cycle, it starts to foam immediately and leaves a fresh smell afterwards.
In terms of value for money, I believe that it is well priced, but a small quantity of bleach is somewhat cheaper.

I’ve been using this Dr. Beckmann washing machine cleaner to keep my drum fresh and free of build-up, and it’s definitely helped improve the smell and cleanliness of my machine. I think it is common knowledge just how hard it is to get rid of black mould, and many people have this issue from bathrooms, to garages, cars etc, but I wasn’t expecting to find it in my washing machine. I had pulled back the seal just by accident and I was completely SHOCKED by how much there was growing in there. I immediately went online looking for washing machine cleaners, and found this one. I know Dr.Beckmann make a tremendous carpet stain cleaner, so I thought why not try this….. I have to say, I am mightily impressed. My washing machine looks literally BRAND NEW inside the drum. Could not believe it. That was just after pouring one box in and putting it on a 60 degrees celcius wash. It smells cleaner, and one thing I have noticed is that my washing, when I air dry it, now smells a lot cleaner too. This was great value for money to the point I bought 5 of them. Instructions are clear and it is easy to use. It comes in a good quality, little carboard box, no plastic packaging, so you can recycle it no problem. I am very impressed and would highly recommend this to anybody wanting to clean their washing machine with ease.
It does its job perfectly
I use service it deep clean for washing machine all the time. Easy to use, great results and my washing machine is greatful as it does not smell and no built up limescale.
Despite other negative comments or photos , I have tried this product. 2h, 60 degrees, only the twist I have added is to sprinkle the powder in the hem ( rubber areas outside the silver tumble dram) where slight black moulds are appearing. The product removed the black moulds and only where I sprinkled. My washing machine looked clean in the tumble part from the beginning but this says kills bacteria such as Coronavirus, it worth trying to my once a month routine.
2h later, I am convinced that this worth it if discounted to 2 . It doesn’t leave any beautiful smells but it made my washing machine shiny and mould free . It is only once a month or two . I think I did well ! Bacteria fight gets serious these days for me . Very happy with my purchase.
Gunge Be Gone
I put it in the machine on a 60 degree wash cycle,and when it had completed the wash there was very little residue soap about. The bit that remained was quickly,and easily removed using a damp cloth and by rinsing the filter in warm soapy water. Simply put the contents into the drum and run a wash cycle,advisidly not a low temperature one,as you need the powder to fully dissolve for best effect!
Washing machine cleane
Purchased two packets and used the first as instructed. It did clean the washing machine to some extent and I washed some laundry afterwards. The odour inside the washing machine seems to have cleared up for now.
It cleans well and leaves the drum particularly clean. However, be aware that the lemon fragrance will not mask the odours of the residue it gets rid of. Do an empty wash on a quick cycle and that helps to shift the smell
Good cleane
This does the job well and gets rid of horrible smells from the washing machine. We use it every couple of months which seems to keep machine clean. Good price from Amazon.

It Works well to get rid of the soap scum in the drawers-
I have only given this product 4 stars because I only received a small amount as the rest was spilled out into the packaging having burst open in transit
Obviously I salvaged as much as I could and ran it through my washing machine on the 60c wash cycle as instructed but I won’t be buying this again until,
The packaging is changed and the powder is in a sealed bag inside the box instead of loose inside the box!
As it was obvious from the footprint on the outer package and the flattened appearance that the package had been stood on and the contents squashed before it had been forced through my letterbox
I feel that had the product been sealed in a plastic bag before it was sealed in the box, the powder wouldn’t have spilled out.
So the washing machine cleaner gets 4 stars but it’s packaging deserves zero!
I had already cleaned machine but still smelt. So used Dr Beckmanns washing machine cleaner. Omg loads of gunk came out and had to clean the seal again. Smells loads better now. Have ordered enough to last a year!

ok so i don’t usually leave a review unless something impresses me, i got this product because my clothes were coming out of the washing machine worse than before they went in! a terrible wet musty smell….i gave this a go because it was cheap, i followed the instructions but did mine of a 90 degree wash not a 60 degree, and then after just for good measure i gave it another rinse cycle before putting clothes in……my clothes no longer smell when they come out of the washer now…definitely plan to use this as advised every 3 months….worth the money
Packaging not adequate.
The product worked well and was delivered on time.
However, the box containing the powder wasn’t up to the rigours of the postal system, and leaked powder into the amazon envelope it was sent in.
I think another reviewer also mentioned this.
Given the dire warnings about how caustic the powder is, maybe a packaging rethink is in order.

Cleane
I wash my dogs bedding every two weeks and because of the dog hair after I’ve washed them I use this to give the machine a good clean out it stops the machine clogging up with dog hair also stops it smelling.
This product cleans, sanitises and removes the grime from the tubes.
It makes cleaning the inside of the washing machine a lot easier. It is nice to wash clothes in a clean machine 🙂
Good cleaner and did the job of cleaning out the old residue/limescale marks. The only thing I would suggest is using half the quantity. I used as instructed and the foam that was created started to escape through the detergent tray and every other exit point it could (unexpected added bonus of cleaning the kitchen floor), bit otherwise a great product.
Thought that it was about time to deep clean Clean Washing Machine, which has been in use for over 10 years, Never thought about it in the past but as it started to smell and thought about time that I did!

My only negative gripe and observation is that this item has no inner bag so it’s straight out of the small packet.
Unfortunately was packed with 2 x Dishwasher cleaners in the same box. When I opened it the Washing Mechine Cleaner box was subject to severe destruction so for that I had to recover the powder what I could from the box and it was also over the Dishwasher Machine cleaner that was in the box with it.
**Perhaps not a good idea to have a small box of Washing Mechine cleaning Poweder loose without any protection with other items in the same box**
Great produc
Great product, used before. But it arrived with the package burst and the contents spilled out into the envelope in which it was sent. As it happened, I could use it immediately, and pour the product from the envelope directly into the washing machine, so not too much of a problem. Would have given it 5 stars without this glitch. Will definitely buy again.
Does what it says
We’ve used this product before and it does refresh your washing machine giving it a better smell. It needs to be used fairly regularly. I would say every couple of months.
