I know a lot of people complained about it’s salty taste, but these are much better than other over sweetened electrolytes I’ve bought. I use two sachets in a 600ml bottle and taste decent.
These are fantastic. The first ones I’ve found that don’t contain artificial sweetener. I’ve used them twice this week and they really help. I’m on heavy duty pain killers that cause me to overheat and loose vital salts. These have made me feel bette
sodium content per packet is excellent, 500mg is a decent number. it initially mostly tastes like salt water and then has an aftertaste of the flavour it’s supposed to be which, on it’s own, isn’t amazing, but I usually mix different electrolyte powders together to get the most sodium per serving i can for my money it works really nicely alongside other powders
They do what they should and taste great. We have a shortage of electrolyte replacement drinks here in Jersey so very happy to have these. They are in individual sachets so just add to a glass of water, simples. Would recommend
My husband, who’s a keen runner and cyclist, regularly uses hydration sachets – they help him rehydrate after long periods of exercise. He was interested in giving these a try especially as they claim to offer better hydration, extra vitamins and natural flavours.
The box contains 16 sachets featuring mixed berry, strawberry and orange flavours. They dissolve easily without lumps and don’t go gloopy – my husband was keen to point out that many sachets he’s tried before tend to go rather thick in the water, so it’s nice to have one that doesn’t.
The flavour isn’t that great. It’s more of a gentle hint of flavour – it’s a little bit like when you over dilute juice….a lot. The hubby admitted that he’d tasted better. I tried it and wasn’t keen at all. I realise the taste is probably due to the natural flavours, which I know is a good thing, but I wish they had just a tad more flavour.
For hydration purposes, they’re really great. My husband has tried them a few times so far with no complaints. He highly rates them on this, so much so that the taste doesn’t really bother him because the other benefits they provide outweigh the taste. I guess that if you’ve completed a 15 mile run, you’re probably not fussy on the flavour of your water.
Price wise ( at 11.99 at the time of ordering), they’re very good. It’s not uncommon to pay 1 plus per sachet on this type of item, so they’re good value.
Overall, they’re great for hydration purposes and fantastic for use after periods of exercise. The taste is a bit of a let down, but if you can see past that, then the benefits are excellent.
And I’ve only had about maybe 3/4s of a litre of liquids today so when I was sweaty and got home from being out, I measured out 250ml (A little too much.. you’re supposed to do 200-220ml) and dumped a sachet in. It smelt lovely! Tastes like a typical hydration drink though.. Not like it smells. Not even in the slightest. BUT, this is a good thing. Means you’re more than likely getting the stuff you need in your body, not like other drinks that are marketed by influencers and internet famous people.. a recent drink that was trending by some YT people.. if you know, you know. If it tastes good, probably not doing it’s job!
Anyway, back to this drink. I feel much better and more hydrated than I was. Regardless of the lack of taste, well lack of nice taste. So it does it’s job! Although my diet could also be at fault for not being able to taste the actual taste.
Definitely does something, not as much as I was thinking but I also haven’t been heavily working out today and sweating enough to possibly see those other benefits.
Will update as a few days go by and I do more physical exercise to see how they fair better.
