Amazing.
Really easy to use; simple instructions.
Used to make memorial piece with the rose petals from my dads funeral, also making bookmarks with the rose petals.
Love the way they’ve come out – first time using resin.
My go to resin!!
I’ve ordered 15 times I love it!!! If Sigwong wanna send me a lifetime discount that’d be great honestly cannot go wrong! I won’t buy any other brand! But I do want bigger bottles!!
It mixes well comes out clear. Had no problems with it and this is my 3rd lot I’ve ordered. Have tried others but this is the best so sticking to it. Don’t see how others have had problems.
Cures crystal clea
I always buy this brand. Cures well in 24hrs. Tiny bubbles soon disappear if left a short while to settle. Good viscosity for all my small to medium craft objects.
Was unsure due to some other reviews how well the product would work. Mixed exactly 50/50 following the instructions and mixed stirred continuously for 5 minutes. Poured really well, bubbles as expected but easy enough to remove either with heat or gently popping them. Has cured overnight without any issue. Lovely and clear with no yellowing- poured over sea pottery and glass as in the photo. Would definitely buy again, only my second time using resin but a far better product than what I used the first time.
This is good quality resin. Takes slightly longer to harden than others I have used, but can be safely removed from the moulds the next morning ( I make one day and demould the next) it is still a tiny bit flexible, but then quickly hardens to a good clear shiny finish. Good value for money.
This Resin is great & I enjoy using it. My only qualm is that B had leaked so when i took it out of the box the bottle and some of the bagged items were sticky (which then also transferred onto my hands). It didn’t affect too much as it wasn’t a bad leak, but a leak non the less.
I bought this resin on subscription because the first bottles I received were great, I had no problems with my resin to begin with. However the last 4 bottles I received have given me so much trouble with curing my resin! I hadn’t been doing anything different then before so couldn’t understand why my resin was not curing properly so after eliminating possible reasons to why my resin was appearing bendy and streaky ( I.e. mixing time, room temperature, ratio). I realised it was probably the epoxy resin itself and I noticed the resin has no expiry date! I’ve emailed them to see if they could help resolve the issues I was having and sent them my order details and photos to show my issues but I’ve heard nothing back from them, I then emailed them again to ask about a expiry date in which they then replied to me with “as long as the epoxy resin is in a sealed state and placed in a cool and dry place, it is permanently effective” this is NOT true and epoxy resin does have an expiry date! they are probably selling out of date batches along with in date ones which is probably why the reviews are so hit and miss! I’ve stopped using this epoxy resin now and would recommend others to not buy also, I’ve wasted so much!
This was my first resin ever. Very happy with it. It sets without issue as stated (12-24h to first solidy – but still bendy – and then 72h for fully cured, hard as rock). Lovely and glossy.
You get a few starter tools – and they are just that. A one-time use basic starter tools, not much to them. Will gete you up and running but you’ll need more.
The gloves provided aren’t great obviously, very loose, hard for precision work. I had to get rid of the cups after 1 use. Those are actually very “flexible”, pressing/bending them to remove the resin, but it didn’t help as there was no ay to get the resin out of those. Those are nice for a started kit, 1 time use. I have re-usable silicone cups anyway. And since only 3 for a litter, you probably will need more cups to get through all that resi
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS
I left a review previously for this item, I wasn’t very happy. The contents had spilled and I had terrible results, bendy unset resin. I decided I’d give it another go. To get the best results, this resin requires INSANE mixing, and I mean more than a prolonged stir for a minute or two. I mean, Transferring between cups to ensure smooth mixing, and not adding your pigments until the resin is smoothly mixed with no streaks. Subsequent attempts with this method in mind have yielded much better results. Still wish it cured faster but you get what you get.
Although this resin is more expensive than some others, it is my firm favourite. It cures quite quickly (ensure that you maintain a good consistent heat) and has a nice consistency. I set my bottles on top of a radiator to warm (beware though that if you warm the hardener it can cause it to cure more quickly and you have less working time.) This also makes it runnier, easier to mix and less prone to bubbles. You get some bits with it but I recommend using a silicone stirrer to reduce bubbles further. Nice clear finish as well. I wouldn’t advise doing deep pours with it in smaller containers (such as a cube or pyramid) as it can and will flash cure, which can burn things in the mould such as flowers as well as wreck your mould. But that’s because it is designed for shallower pours and a quicker cure time – it’s not an issue with the resin itself. If you want to do a deep pour in one go, you’ll need a different resin which will have a longer cure time. I like to layer mine anyhow due to different colours. Make sure when you are mixing you also scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing vessel to ensure a good mix. Anyhow I love it and if you follow the directions accurately, you’ll be really happy with this product!
