I was so tired of my hose kinking and being heavy to haul around and looking untidy!! Then my neighbour showed me hers! I immediately ordered it. Wow! So light, 10 adjustments on it and when you have finished it shrinks back to its original size. It comes with a useful hook to put it away on! So easy.
Useful to use and store. I am not sure how easily it gets to the full length but still very useful and much easier to use and store than my previous one which was on a spindle.
I should have purchased a longer version having said that very happy with the convenience of use and so far very successful purchase can’t comment on its durability as I have only owned it for a short period.
So this just arrived today and it seems to be infinitely better quality for 20 than the 10 cheap expandable hose I bought a few months ago that broke after a few uses.
I haven’t even tested it yet but it seems fine, but if it breaks I’ll no doubt come back and edit the review, so if you don’t see any edit below you’ll know it’s still working!
It is obvious that time and effort has been put into designing and developing this product. The fittings supplied are of good quality and are compatible with Hozelock equipment which is excellent news. It all feels solidly made and well engineered. I had no leaks at all, the spray gun has a good selection of spray patterns and feels right in your hand. The hose itself is reassuringly thick and expands and contracts well, all supplied with a plastic hanger to go on a wall or fence for easy storage. Packed in a neat little bag if you choose not to use the hanger. It comes with a two year warranty for peace of mind, I am really quite impressed and would definitely recommend them and purchase again.
Had a few of these expandable hoses from different providers in the past which have all split without excessive use in my opinion. Only use for car washing and watering garden. Decided to spend a bit more this time in the hope that quality would be better. Really good quality fittings, hose appears to be constructed well and the spray gun isn’t the normal cheap rubbish, with good weight to. Also has a variety of useful spray patterns.
I messaged HmiL-U customer service requesting a replacement garden hose based on the 2 year guarantee they were offering when I purchased the product back in 2021. The customer service advisor was extremely helpful, asking me to send pictures of the hose, in order that he could investigate my complaint, within a couple of days I had a full refund for the damaged hose.. excellent service I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from this company agai
So far the hose is doing the job. I have had two similar products from different suppliers before. Each has lasted just over a year…. Hoping this might do at least two summers, but we will wait and see…
The hose comes with solid metal attachments either end and feel weighty and well-made, not like monkey metal, when connected to the power washer and tap turned on there wasn’t a single drip of a leak.
As promised, under pressure the hose does indeed grow to many times it’s original size allowing it to reach pretty much anywhere around a normal sized house.
Came with a nice little holder to keep it safe in the garage too, definitely worth the price considering similar products are much more expensive.
Only used the hose for two weeks so cannot talk about durability. However, looks well made, attachments work well. Even comes with a wall hanger. If you are looking for a decent expandable hose, then this one is probably for you. It replaces a leading brand we had that lasted barely one year. So give this one a go
I have now been using the hose a few weeks and absolutely love it.It is light weight, has a lot of different settings.I did some research into this type of hose and I am so glad I did.The attachments are brass and feel very sturdy there has been some leaking around the tap but I think that is my tap not the hose.I bought the wrong size too long but even that does not put me off recommending this hose.Compared to my last heavy plastic one that then had to be reeled in it is a pleasure to use.
Bought this after my old gun disintegrated after leaving it out over winter (my fault). The metal connector fitted directly onto my expanding hose with no need for additional fittings. Absolutely no leaks, super fine jet strength (I mostly use shower), very sturdy and lovely to handle. If you have a particularly weaker hand strength it may not be for you as the trigger requires a strong grip, but was fine for me (an older female) and there is the option to lock it in position, which I used for filling the pond. Definitely would buy again after having so many disappointing guns. Pretty good price too.
Wanted a hose that did not tangle when rewound and was long enough to reach from the back of my house into the road where I park my car. This hose is just the right length. The fittings are good with no leaks either end. After connecting, the water pressure expands the hose to approx three times its length. Turning the water off and releasing the pressure sees the hose quickly return to a length that is convenient to pack away. Pressure is good. I am careful not to step on it to avoid damage. The spray head is fine except that the ‘soaker’ setting just allows a directionless dribble of water – other settings work fine. Time will tell how durable the hose is.
