About Us
Your car’s changed a lot over the last century, but we’ve still got the solutions to your problems. Douglas Holt first started developing products to keep his own car running, and 100 years later we’re still working hard to keep your car on the road, getting rid of those clunks, leaks and squeaks. During the war, Douglas Holt spent time working for Austin Motor Company where he learnt about motor cars and mechanics. After the war, keen to use his knowledge and earn his own money, he opened a small shop selling car parts.
Early cars experienced many problems as people got used to the technology. Many cars suffered cracked cylinder heads due to people not using anti-freeze, leading to leaks. To solve this problem, Douglas Holt launched Wondarweld to allow people to seal leaks in their cars easily. Wondarweld is still sold today. Holt continued to innovate, and new products were created thanks to problems with his own car. Gun Gum was one such product, invented after Holt’s own exhaust needed repairing. Gun Gum is one of Holts’ most successful products, still available today.
1990 saw the launch of Bradex, another solution to a frustrating problem for drivers. Bradex is used when your car won’t start, to get you on the road. This useful product is still available today as Bradex Easy Start. In 2018 we launched our Headlight Restoration Kit, a quick and easy to use kit which removes scratches and oxidation for clearer, brighter headlights.

Easy to use, it is really a cream colour compared and applied to the scratches on my white car, have yet to sand it down ready for painting as on my car paint is required to get the correct colour but like it is at the moment is much better than seeing the black plastic of the bumper.
Came on time good quality paste spread easily when tube warmed up a bit was using it on wood edges some edges needed a 2nd application but dried well and took a nice finish
Bought tp fill two holes stupidly drilled in the tailgate of my car (to fit number plate) by the selling garage who should have know better. Appears to have worked well.
Works well. It goes off in seconds, so the secret is be prepared and don’t try to do too much at once.
Get the prep right before you use it and you’ll have no problem.
It is quite thick but that is useful when you are working on vertical panels.
I had ordered a tin of some stuff that still not come so I got a recommendation holts loycat13nifing puty so I ordered it and I have used it good stuff and a little goes a long way I can recommend this produc
This stuff is good but it has a very short working time from when it’s squeezed out of the tube. You need to do small areas at a time and try and spread it out as much as possible
I used to use Holts cataloy to repair my old cars in my youth so brought back some fond memories!
This time it was bought to repair our Grandson’s resin gnome which had suffered an unexpected, gravity driven, visit to the patio floor. Holts to the rescue! I used it to fill in the gaps after gluing the main pieces together. A lick of paint and Eric the Gnome was restored to full ‘elf’
