Safety round the pool
Well made, good grip on the soles. Fastening that he can do himself and lovely colour. Hoping that they will fit our Grandson. Just what we were looking for on his first trip abroad.
Excellent for pool side / beachfro
Brought for my twins for our family holiday. So pleased. They could run around safely as the grip was excellent and the boys loved wearing them so must be comfy
Lovely
I was happy to see this comes in smaller sizes as well and fitted my 2 year old well. They seemed comfortable and because of the material not too tight. Easy to put on and take off, with a flexible sole yet still resistant and with a good grip. The colors were nice too. Lightweight shoes suitable for swimming or hiking.

THE SOLE, HEEL & ARCH APPEAR TO BE GLUED ON RATHER THAN STITCHED AROUND. THE STITCHING ON THE WATER SHOE UPPER SEEMS TO BE VERY GOOD. THERE IS A LITTLE ROOM TO ALLOW FOR STRETCHING. THE WATER SHOE DOES UP BY A VELCRO TONGUE. THERE IS A PULL ON OR HANG UP HOOP AT THE REAR OF THE WATER SHOE. IF USED TO PULL ON THE WATER SHOE IT CAN IMPROVE THE LONGEVITY, MUCH LIKE USING A SHOEHORN ON YOUR TRAINERS. FOR THE PRICE YOU COULD DO WORSE. THEY DO LOOK COMFORTABLE FOR THE SMALL CHILDS FEET. I HAVE DOCKED A STAR BECAUSE THEY ARRIVED WITH A SMALL STAIN ON THE LEFT SHOE.
Great for the beach
Ordered these for a 6 year old girl with size UK childrens size 10.5 feet, naturally I ordered these in size 11. They just about fit so I think they do come up on the small side and unfortunately we won’t get too much wear out of them. We did take them for a day at the beach which they were ideal for running on sand and climbing low rocks, the soles are thick rubber with decent grip. Despite the snug fit you still get sand in them but they are quick and easy to wash in the sea. There is an adjustable velcro strap on the top which was a little tight but loosened it to make them more comfortable. They have also been good for kicking around in the garden at home.
11.99 (at the time of review) is a little more than I would be prepared to pay for this type of product as we only use them occasionally and the fit could be better on these. They are acceptable but I probably wouldn’t order another pair of these ones.
Perfect for going on the beach
These are perfect for a trip to the beach. It has a thick enough sole for running around and you can walk into the waters. They are easy to take off and put on. I think it would be great for taking on holiday playing around the pool as it has good grips.
It has a little look at the back to help slip the shoes on. I like the colour and the quality of the shoes. They are easy to wash and quick to dry in time for use the following day.
I would recommend.
I had to make an adjustment to them
These shoes arrived with the edges of an elasticated band on the inside having been heat treated, which cause a sharp edge to form. Luckily, it was possible to cut those off without any damage to the shoe (or so I hope, or so it has appeared to be so far, maybe there will be some unraveling later). With this adjustment we are now wearing these on our outing to the river, or just when we feel like wearing them, for a bike ride and such, and I do suspect they are comfy as they are flexible, soft (though there are some seams of the inside that might appear too chunky). The colour is great too and these have seen quite a lot of use over the past few weeks.
One Size Does not Fit All
I start this review by saying that the correct size was not sent, a 13 child was delivered as a 9. Thankfully, I have more than one child and the smaller size still worked. I hope that this was a mistake and not indicative of how the water shoes are delivered as it would be a shame as they are very good.
What we liked about these water shoes is that they provide the protection we expect but are also a little more mature looking for a child who no longer wants to wear cute designs all the time. These ‘Lakeland Active Junior Boy’s Seathwaite Water Shoes’ are smaller versions of an adult style shoe. The green version looks great, and the base is a nice chunky design with grips. They would work well around a pool but are designed for playing in the sea or lake swimming.
They are easy to put on with the Velcro and the sizing that arrived was right itself (just not what was ordered). This does not distract from the good value that the shoe provides. The quality is great for the price point, and they should last a child or two of use. The idea of describing them as boy’s water shoes is wrong as there is nothing to stop anyone wearing them as they are just a sporty and mature design.
Decent beach shoes, velcro not grea
The size 13 fits my daughter who is size 12 feet but not as big as I thought, they fit perfectly now but I don’t think they will last a year.
The shoes are well made and comfortable only the little velcro strap could be better designed, my daughterikes them tight and there isn’t much leeway with the size of the velcro.
The width is good and the material is soft. We used them on the beach and they were good, she played in them without moaning which believe me she would do if they weren’t.
The price is high for these, we had to replace one of my other daughter beach shoes at the local supermarket while away and they cost 7 and were just as good, well these are more precisely made but the cheaper ones had an elastic toggle which worked a lot better.
For the quality they deserve to cost a bit more but for the use you get I can’t recommend them for someone like me with 4 kids if it doubles the cost almost.
I got this pair of beach shoes for my daughter and these are for the majority very good.
THE GOOD
They are generally well made with a good level of stitching in the outers. The sole features some really excellent texture to it which will provide good levels of grip. My daughter tells me they are really comfortable when compared to her last pair and she found them easy to put on and off thanks to the Velcro top strap.
THE BAD
Only one real complaint is that the inner sole comes out when you take them off, which is annoying.
CONCLUSION
If you can live with the inner sole popping out, then these are great to protect little feet from any slips or sharp stones when rock pooling or wading/playing by open water/sea.
Perfect for the beach
These are perfect for the beach and paddling in stony water.
They have flexible, thick rubber soles with good grips and fit securely around the foot. I’d always down size these as they do have a slight stretch and to ensure sand/stones don’t enter. Easy to get on and off due to the Velcro fastening and finger loop at the back.
I buy a pair every year for my kids to wear on holiday and they’re great.
Would recommend!

A budget set of water shoes not very well made but fine for the price don’t expect any double stitching or for them to last.
InSoles are removable and the grips although thin are adequate.
