The set has a lot to it and a tone of play value. The new sharks are very clean and look amazing, the build of the submarine is also very nice and a fun build

The LEGO City Deep-Sea Explorer Submarine Toy is an adventurous underwater ocean set that will captivate any LEGO enthusiast. With its included drone, shark figures, shipwreck, and diver minifigures, this set offers endless hours of imaginative play. Perfect for kids aged 7 and above, it’s an ideal gift for those who love LEGO and diving into underwater exploration. The construction was easy enough for my 10 year old to make
and it was super fun for him.

Building mostly larger buildings made by Lego, I’ve recently enjoyed different types of sets from the brand and this is one that I’ve really liked building.

It’s nice that after such a long time, Lego still manages to surprise with different ways of putting their items together, different coloured bricks and different techniques.

This took me a day to put together and I’m a quite experienced Lego builder. As always – the instructions are really easy to follow and bags are marked up very well.

Another fantastic addition to the Lego City range, this underwater sub came at an unfortunate time, but will still no doubt inspire many young people looking to immerse themselves in the world of deep sea adventure.

Quality is, as always, excellent. Lots of new bricks and some cool features. This took a full day to build and was a lot of fun. There’s a lot more in the City range which works well with this set, and this will remain a permanent fixture for us.

The current Lego City Explorer range continues to be incredible. Not only is the primary build exceptional and a lot of fun but, as with the other sets in this range, you get a number of amazing mini sets. The little shark shipwreck is a stand out.

The main sub looks great and has lots of nice interactions.

It’s a super set as part of a super series.

Cracking new set this in the ever growing City series. LEGO City Deep-Sea Explorer Submarine Toy set. This play set is sure to become a hit with anyone who purchases it. The set offers an abundance of LEGO pieces in various sizes, allowing for endless possibilities and creativity. With the included manual, children can follow step-by-step instructions to build the standard model or whatever there imagination takes them (the real fun with lego)

The box design the way the set is presented with easy to follow instructions and individually bagged sets make building these things a breeze.

The Underwater Ocean theme is great and with all the inclusion of mini pieces like the shark and diver figurines really bring this to life.

It is incredibly easy to assemble, suitable for players of all ages. The drone has realistic details that make me feel like I’m immersed in a real deep-sea expedition. I enjoy using it to explore the underwater world, igniting my imagination and creativity. Although I haven’t had time to build this yet it is what one would expect of a Lego product.

The pieces come in numbered bags so they are easier to put together and it does come with a good instruction book.

As with all Legos one simply clips the blocks / pieces into place. It’s not complicated and nor is it as fiddly as some of those model airplane / ship sets where one has to use glues, paints and some parts are so small one needs tweezers just to pick them up.

Ther’s not much else one can say about Lego as everybody knows that Lego can be fun to construct, it can be part of quality family time and kids love playing with it.

Overall, the quality is as expected, all the parts are there, it does have a good instruction book that one doesn’t need a doctorate just to read it, unlike flat packed furniture instructions that I gave up even considering looking at. The quality is good, the value is very good for what it delivers for kids so I am recommending this Lego set.

This set is really well thought out. It’s the quality you would expect from lego. There’s lots of different sections and moving parts and feels like a good set to try before kids are old enough to start building the more advanced lego technics kits.

    Really good product, would recommend.

This is an underwater vehicle themed lego set.

It did take my 8 yr old quite a while to complete. It wasn’t necessarily difficult, just quite detailed. Regardless, he enjoyed building it.

Once built, it is definitely a model that can be played with. It’s not super robust and bits regularly fall off whilst you are playing with it, but it was easy enough to put back together. My kids actually made some alterations to the model themselves to make it more sturdy.

842 pieces are surely going to keep someone busy with this Lego city play set themed for deep water exploration with a submarine, shipwreck, drone and characters that can be dressed (or built) as scuba divers with a few sharks patrolling the sunken ship wreck.
The play set has some fantastic elements of interactivity from spinning the sharks around and pushing the shark out of the ship wreck to adjustable parts on the submarine.
This is a remarkable play set that really opens up a child’s imagination and compliments the whole Lego city range.
The set comes divided into bags for easy building and easy to follow instruction manual and is aged 7 yrs and upwards but to be honest provided your child is proficient at Lego and following instructions as per the manual I see no reason why this can’t be given to younger children.
This has been a pleasure to build with my little boy who is only 4 but absolutely loves Lego building and has been enjoying playing with the sea going exploration of his new toy and even took it into his paddling pool with him making all sorts of noises which shows he is using his imagination and enjoying his playtime.
As it’s plastic it also dries off quickly and can be left in water.
It’s currently priced at just under 93 at time of review which is a tad expensive but to be fair you’re always getting great quality with Lego products and can always rely on them to be interesting and occupying toys with so much variation and choice to suit literally anyone’s preference.
    Another superb set from Lego.

I made this with my eight year old niece. The instructions are easy to follow with the parts in separate bags.

You get 6 explorer minifigures and 3 LEGO sharks, 2 jellyfish and 4 fish animal figures, plus accessories including torches, toy camera and spanner so great for little explorers.

There is plenty to this to be on its own or as usual it can be added to other Lego sets.

I gave this to a Lego obsessed mate at work. The timing with the whole lost submarine was a bit odd but he completed it all the same. This is what he had to say

“This set was a lot of fun to put together, really nice play features and the build process was great with some really interesting techniques while being appropriately complex for a 7+ set. Really like the vibrant colours and the range of uncommon parts. The giant shark was of course a big win as well.

This is marked as 7+ and I would say 7-10 is the sweetvspot for this one. Any children who grew up watching Octonaughts on Cbeebies or Netflix will love the vibe of this underwater explorer. Once built, (always the fun part), it looks great and works well as a standalone toy. Only downside in price.

The new LEGO City Deep-Sea Explorer Submarine Toy set is a great new play set from LEGO and my kids absolutely love it. The set includes plenty of LEGO pieces and come in great sizes and sizes. It also comes with a great manual that helps kids to create the standard model or use their own imagination to create various variations and use their creativity. The quality of the whole product is top notch and the tone and style really fits into the LEGO family branding. Kids are loving it and enjoying a lot, it could be challenging sometimes to keep them away, it’s has a great appeal to it to get hooked easily. The Underwater Ocean theme is also well received by my 6 year old who also gets my 9 year old involved who likes the mini pieces like shark and diver mini figurines and they both seem to be enjoying it immensely.

Overall a great new LEGO and hope that this will keep the kids going for a while. Thumbs Up!

Once again Lego showed why it is a leader and with this set it did something spectacular, I love Legos and I always made a point of building it with my children. This set is perfect and is without a doubt a great gift option!

This is such a good set, it is mind-blowing in its detail.

The things I really love about this set

The box has a really clear, engaging image on the cover to captivate young minds
    The submarine is, well, awesome.
The shark figures are fun, and the ship wreck adds so much charm
    The instructions are clear
As with other lego sets the parts are in labelled bags
The whole construction process, following the instruction manual, identifying parts and build are really good educational skills.
The recommended age is 7, but if there are smaller children in the house then some of the parts are very small.
The set lends itself to play after build which is great.

It’s Lego, there is nothing else to be said. Just kidding. Love it or hate it, everyone knows the standard of quality you get from the Lego name. It is a shame that you have to pay a premium because of that name. This set is one of the costliest.

The Lego set arrives in a sealed retail box. Inside there are bags and bags of parts, along with a couple of instruction books. The instructions are up to the usual standard with colour print on glossy paper. Every step is carefully shown. There’s even an app that can be downloaded for IOS and Android.

The theme for this Lego set is underwater sea adventures. There are all the parts to build a deep-sea submarine and to build a deep-sea wreck that needs exploring. Of course, the thing with Lego is that there are lots of other things that can be built with a child’s imagination.

Overall, not cheap but great fun. I hope that helps.

Intricate lego submarine toy with great attention to detail. Fully illustrated instruction that are easy to follow. The submarine, shipwreck and divers with deep sea suit are fun to play with once constructed. Imagination is the key to hours of play.
From age 7 but the child may need some adult guidance and assistance, as some parts are quite complicated. A great addition to the Lego City series.

This deep-sea set is part of the Lego City collection (though it is obviously underwater and not in a city). It has a submarine build, a set of submersibles, a sea wreck, six mini figures and a few sharks. The submarine is quite a large build and depending on the age of the builder the set could prove quite challenging.

As it is an official Lego set the set is of a quality and has the instructions needed to build. It comes in a good sized box and though the price tag is quite high, it feels about right for Lego currently, especially with the size of the kit.

I got this set for my partner and little girl, and can honestly say this is one of the best Lego sets we’ve had, it’s really amazing!
The set says 7 years+, but my little girl is 4 and she enjoyed helping out building the set with my partner, finding the pieces he needed, adding the figures hair etc. It took them about 2 hours to complete, but everything was well packaged and the instructions very clear, like you expect from Lego.
You get so much included, and there are so many accessories and little details, it’s really impressive!
The submarine is a great size, the two front arms open and snap shut with elastic bands, so you can pick up treasure etc as you explore. There are 6 figures included, so you can swap around who gets to drive the submarine or takes a turn in the diving suit etc.
The shipwreck part of the set is just as impressive and detailed. It includes 3 sharks, with the largest one sitting on a little slider inside the shipwreck so it can pop out and give the divers a scare. (see my video)
There’s also really pretty jellyfish, fish, seaweed and other decorations, a treasure chest, and even a pirate skeleton. You also get so many accessories to make playtime even more fun, including a camera, diving helmets, torches, scissors and injections for the doctor to use, a sword, plus more.
Everything is so well designed and thought out, and the colours are bright and eye-catching. This set is totally worth the money, hours of fun to be had making up underwater sea adventures. I would definitely recommend!

I love the design of this submarine set as there is so much included in it. As with all lego sets its possible to expand by adding to other sets, but actually there is lot in this one set that it is good as a standalone set. Well worth the investment if you have kids that are fans of the deep blue sea.

It’s a fun build, really cool to see it coming together and at 7 years old its kit that kids can start to work on it themselves, perhaps with a bit of adult help for a few fiddly bits. It took us a couple of hours, but the good thing is that there are a few different parts to build so they can see it taking shape quickly and that keeps them engaged. The instructions are clear and very easy to follow. This is a set designed to be played with as it is, rather than built into lots of different things. Of course you can modify the design and add some bits here and there, but this is a set for a submarine! There is also an additional underwater robot for exploration, as well as a diving suit that can fit one of the minifigures. You get 6 minifigures in the set, as well as some underwater wildlife – sharks, jellyfish and fish. Some of the little accessories are quite small so you might want to have a container for keeping them in when not playing with them. I really like the underwater shipwreck as this adds to the set by giving kids an extra part to play with and the minifigures can be set on a exploration.

We have had lots of fun in this house with the set, and imaginations have run wild. There is so much attention to detail that the more the kids play with it, the more I realise just how much is included. I like the bubble at the front of the submarine and also the inside compartments – they are easy to access and you don’t have to break up the submarine every time you want to get inside unlike the sets I used to build as a child! Once built it’s also quite robust and we haven’t had problems with any bits falling off, despite a lot of adventures!

    Amazing!

I know Lego is aimed at younger children but my 18 year old son still loves it…
He was so thrilled with this set – it’s really comprehensive and you get tons in it for your money.
As always, the instructions are superb and really easy to follow, even for the younger ages.
This is one of the larger sets we’ve had and took a while to build, although he said he was taking his time because he wanted it to last.
The attention to detail in these sets are superb – the little metal detector is so cute 🙂
The grab handles on the front of the submarine work really well to grip nearly anything, and the little drone clicks on top of the main ship. The sharks are great fun – my son put little sweets in their mouths and then spun it as fast as he could to see if his little sister could catch them.
They had loads of fun with this and it was lovely to see them off technology and laughing together, rather than the usual grunting insults at each other – worth every penny for that alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Attention to detail is amazing!

This review is for Lego City model number 60379. The set is called the Lego City Deep Sea Explorer. In the set, there are 842 pieces, so this is one of the larger Lego sets. Once constructed, there are several elements including the deep sea submersible, a wreck with sharks, a deep sea drone and several figures. There are four figures, three sharks and a couple of jellyfish! This is quite a complex set to build, so the 7+ age rating is probably about right.

This set is currently priced at 94.60. This feels like the maximum RRP. These kind of set usually fluctuate up and down in price, so expect to be able to get it cheaper over the coming weeks and months.

As always, this is a great offering from Lego, that is part of the Lego City collection. Very happy to recommend this and it would make a lovely Christmas or Birthday present.

This big, 95 kit has a zillion parts and a thick instruction manual. I haven’t started it yet, as I’m working on completing the second half of the Captain America kit. That seems to have about a third of the parts as this big Deep Sea one. The nice box says for kids 7+. Hard to believe a little kid could start and finish this one. But what do I know? All the parts are well-labelled in their correct parts bags The book is Ok to follow, but some shapes and colours don’t always translate into print. Would recommend this for someone who just loves a puzzle challenge, irrespective of age. I’m in my early 60s but can still find Lego a challenge and enjoy it.

This LEGO 60379 City Deep-Sea Explorer Submarine Toy arrived beautifully packed in a sturdy and colourful box. I really like that the box has shown a clear picture of what we can expect to be in the box . Another thing I really like is that Lego clearly displays from which age the box is suitable from soo you don’t need to look for it but it’s on the front in bold numbers.

This City Deep-Sea Explorer Submarine Toy is a underwater ocean set with Drone, Shark Figures, Shipwreck and Diver Minifigures.

It says suitable from 7 years old but I am 30 and love it too. It’s actually a great and fun way to spend together with your kids or family and build the ship together. It’s great to improve teamwork skills, building skills etc.

It will take the kids some time to complete it and the instructions are clearly included. Once set up you can display it on the shelf which will look amazing.

The price is definitely worth it for this super quality and entertaining lego edition.

Highly recommended and it makes the best gift , kids or any lego lover will be very happy!

Im very delighted to have another lego addition to my lego collection.
