These shin pads are small and lightweight. I love the idea of moulding them yourself and they do work although it took us a few attempts to get the right shape. The negative for me is how thin they are, I worry they won’t give as good a protection as other shin pads. They do move around a lot too. My son likes them but I think they are safer for training only at the mome

Got these for my 11 year old and although they were a bit of a faff to mould, once they were moulded they are actually much more comfortable than his off the shelf pair.

They are lightweight and good value.

The shin pads are really lightweight and feel fantastic to play in. They are easy to mould using a hairdryer however, I did notice that the shin pads do tend to flatten a bit as they cool down and it takes a few attempts to get them to fully mould to the correct shape.

The only downside is due to the product not having any foam or protective element. I would not advise these if you want protection as they are very thin and don’t do much. Because there is no foam on the inside the shin pads also slide around a lot due to sweat so you have to secure them properly using tape.

All in all if you want lightweight shin pads to avoid the bulky feel of having something on your legs they are perfect, just avoid if you want something protective.

These shin pads need to be gently heated to mould them to the shape of your shin. I heated them in the oven at low temperature for 4 minutes, and the instructions say they can also be heated by a hair dryer.

They are cool enough to apply to the legs and mould in around 30 seconds, just be careful not to apply too quickly, and also be aware that they may take off a few hairs as they were a bit sticky as they set in place!

They set solid in about 4 or 5 minutes, and are certainly comfortable to wear, just make sure to mark them left and right as they aren’t marked.

My only concern is the level of protection they might offer. They certainly feel as hard as normal shin pads, but they are very thin, I guess time will tell.

Follow the instructions and these are simple to mould into the shape of your shin. Protects against knocks and bumps, I like that they come with a little bag to keep them safe too

These are supposed to mould to your legs after heating but I just bent them carefully to fit, mainly because we’d left it far too late to heat up before football training for my daughter, it worked well though, they are so light she didn’t know she was wearing them and although they are thin there is very little contact really with her training, the odd follow through from a pass or shot so they deflect well.
They are white so they don’t look daft with white football socks.
Simple but effective. The little net bag is a bit too small to put them back in easily but all good.

I was a little nervous about starting these but they were actually very easy to do. I used the air fryer to warm them up rather than the oven or a hair dryer and that worked well. They only took a few minutes to warm up and then cool down enough to mould them. It was a simple case of holding them against the shin and it moulded to the shape. They were a good size for my 7 year old. They stayed in place when held with football socks and provided comfortable protection. I used a marker pen to mark on L and R. As they’re now different shapes. That is a feature that would be useful. They come with a little bag for storage. 4/5

When I initally read the instructions after receiving these shin pads, it said to heat up in the oven?

I was alittle confused at first, never heard anything like it…

But after thinking about it, it makes total sense to heat the shin pads to mould the pads to your leg shape, and a personal fit for you.

My daughter uses these for football training, and they are hard plastic which protects her shins for knocks and bangs.

My husband really likes these shinpads, they are easy to mould. We used the oven, we popped on a baking tray with some grease proof paper for around 5 minutes, when they cooled a little we put them on my husbands shins to mould easily.

They then fitted perfectly but we saw that you can re do if you need too. They provide good protection against tackles and are quite hard wearing. The little bag is handy at keeping them save in between matches.

Lightweight and nice shin pads. I was looking for something smaller than the usual ones and these definitely do the job. They are approx 16cm lenght x 10cm height. However they are a bit rigid (please see my video) and I had to warm them with an hairdryer in order to give them the sahpe I was looking for.

A very clever idea having mouldable shin pads, they were easy to use Just heated in the oven for five minutes then held against the shins to get a good fit very comfortable to wear. Did absorb the Knocks which is what they are really for. all in all a good buy

They are not the largest of shin pads.

When they arrive they are flat, and you require to heat them before being able to mould them.

Either a short blast in the oven, or a hair dryer would do the trick. ( I did 5 mins in the oven on 80 degrees)

They come out soft and mouldable. Place them on your shins and then allow them to cool.

Works well and they seem solid.

I have yet to play a match with them, but will in due course.

I have marked them as 4* simply due to being on the smaller side. I have no doubt they will do the job, but would have been nicer if they were just a little larger.

I got these mouldable shin pads for my nephew to use. They come in a little mesh bag and are super thin, yet feel hard/firm.
They arrive completely flat and the instructions for moulding are clear and simple. You can either heat in the oven or with a hairdryer, once cool enough to handle you place them in the appropriate position on your shin, mould to your leg, and hold for a few minutes until they set. Can be remoulded by repeating the process if required.
They look the same on both sides and the pads don’t provide any padding on the side that sits against your leg, they look like they’d make your shins sweaty as don’t appear breathable, although on the plus side than can be easily washed/cleaned.
My nephew (who is a short 12 year old, who plays in goal) really liked them as they are small and feel light and comfortable without restricting movement.

I honestly thought these would be a bit of a gimmick. The pads arrive flat as a pancake and you either microwave or oven bake them for a few minutes to soften the material. Followed the instructions and moulding to the shape of my legs was easy and painless (no burning or pulling of hair).
Held the pads in place for about 90 seconds and then removed. Fit like a charm now.
These are smaller pads than I used to play with but I think will appeal to today’s athletic footballer who HAS to wear pads by the laws of the game, but doesn’t want something so big they become bulky and get in the way.
Looking forward to playing a game with them – seem strong and I feel protected.
