The item is fine but the driver that delivered should have also delivered a gopro 10 as a separate package… guess what, no gopro, luckily I didn’t give the code so was able to cancel. This was an Amazon delivery company not a secondary delivery service. Not good enough! Why am I paying for prime with this service.
This is a good chain lubricant, I tried a spray one and it didn’t help with my chain still being stuck every now and again (not rolling backwards). This did. It’s been durable so far. Haven’t tried it on puddles or in rain so I don’t know how water resistant it is but should be like any other chain lubricant. Also it smells nice which is a bonus. No squeaks now either it’s smooth sounding. Good for the money. Versatile product, would buy agai
Wow, how much difference a well lubricated chain does to your ride! I had totally neglected it for over a year and after applying the dry lube I saw a 20% improvement on my ride.
Used on a clean dry chain, it goes on easily and ‘sets’ quickly. Lasts well on dry rides and helps with quiet running and slick shifting gears. Easy to clean off and relube when needed. Only rated 4 stars as not used on long or wet rides yet. Will revise review if needed. Will use agai
I was in Lidl the other day and they had some dry lube for 2.50 which came in a larger bottle. Personally I can’t tell the difference if I rub it between my fingers. I think the price of this stuff is set by the brand name so to be honest, I won’t be buying it again unless they drop the price to something more reasonable.
Most people put too much on and apply just before a ride, I know I do….. wrong
The idea is to clean and degrease your chain, then apply a coating, work it in and let dry then apply again. Before you use your bike.
Its not designed to be reapplied over and over, you will get a build up of gunk on the gears etc.
Its also not designed to be used over many miles in various weather then just left for a week and be expected to protect your chain. Most lubes like these are sacrificial meaning they dont stick around they are not replenished from a sump etc.
A bikes gear train is a completely open system, the lube will get washed off, its primary objective is not anti corrosion, if you want that just soak your chain in engine oil. The idea of this is to lube the rollers but for a finite number of miles, then it has to be cleaned and re applied, fact.
If you understand the basic principle of open chain gear systems and do the maintenance, you will have success with this product, there is no getting away from the maintenance you have to do if you want a clean drive train and a lubed chain.
This is not a miracle product, its good at what it does, but it needs care etc in its use. And, it smells of banana milkshake…..
