I bought these under a special offer. Historically I’ve only bought stores own tinned tomatoes but after tasting these I can see why they cost more. They are delicious, worth every penny and I’ve gone on to try the rest of their range. Love them

Was always wondering why my Italian friend always bought these “expensive” chopped tomatoes rather than the cheaper brands. I bought one tin of Mutti in a supermarket once, made my simple tomato sauce with it and was immediately sold and will never buy any other. These chopped tomatoes have a depth of flavour vs lack of flavour in other brands. I try to buy them whenever they are on special offer here and aim not to pay more than 0.90 per tin, which is really good value in my book.

I thought these better be good for 1 a tin seeing as supermarket ones are 32p and they are so so good! Thick, pulped tomatoes, bright red and tasting like tomatoes should. I will never go back to supermarket ones.

I bought these as they were on offer on Amazon. I’ve only made one dish so far with them and all I did was substitute these tomatoes for the usual supermarket-brand tomatoes I usually buy. All I can say is that I definitely taste the difference and won’t be going back to supermarket-brand! Highly recommended.

Compared to Aldi/Tesco/Sainsbury/M&S brand cans, these are more delicious, better chopped (smaller pieces, but not so small that it’s just runny tomato water) and overall better in quality.

If money is really tight, price per can is higher, with Tesco/Sainsbury around 35-50p, M&S around 60p and these being 85p each. What I can tell you is that you won’t get an upgrade this good for an extra 20p at any walk of life, so maybe treat yourself a little.

I am a cautious shopper but I like good quality stuff, especially where my food is concerned. So when I read good things about this brand, I decided to try. It isn’t much more expensive than supermarket brands – less than a pound per tin – these days, supermarket brands can reach those dizzy heights! Anyway, the main big difference is the amount of tomatoes – 99% in Mutti!!! I compared it with a supermarket branded one I had in my cupboard – only 65% and that is from a good supermarket I can tell you. The tomatoes are very very finely chopped and when you open it, the colour is a really intense, deep and rich red. It is satisfying just to look at the tomatoes!! And the taste – rich and intense and satisfying and full-bodied – gives a lot of body to your bolognese or whatever sauce or stew or whatever you are cooking.

Very sweet – they make amazing sauces.
I stumbled upon this brand in a small deli, but the prices in the shops have risen at a prodigious rate.
They’re still expensive here, when compared to more mainstream brands, but the taste makes it worthwhile.
Very finely chopped in a ring-pull tin. The only minor issue is that they don’t stack well in the cupboard. They don’t have bevelled undersides, to stack upon each other easily.

These are THE best tinned tomatoes available. I’ve tried them all and these have the best flavour and colour.

If you’re cooking tinned tomatoes, the quality is not so important, as you can adjust any flavour imperfections with a bit of sugar or vinegar etc but I use these to make gazpacho, where the ingredients are not cooked and you will taste poor quality.

Not the cheapest but life is too short for bad food.

Okay, you may think it’s a tin of tomatoes, how can you review that?
    Tomatoes are all the same.
But these really do make a difference to any dish or cooking.

They have been very finely chopped and any core removed.
With some chopped tomatoes, they are quite coarse and have a lot of liquid around the pieces, this is one thick consistency so no extra watery juice.
Such a delicious Deep tomato taste.
I always buy them when they are on offer and stock up.
You will notice the difference between this and regular chopped tomatoes.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMutti Finely Chopped Tomatoes have become a staple in my kitchen, and I’m delighted to share my experience with this exceptional product. As an avid home cook who values the quality of ingredients, these tomatoes have proven to be a game-changer in my culinary endeavours.

From the moment I opened the first can, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of fresh, ripe tomatoes. The finely chopped texture immediately caught my eye, promising a more even and consistent blend of flavors in my recipes.

The taste of these tomatoes is nothing short of remarkable. Each spoonful bursts with the natural sweetness and tanginess characteristic of sun-ripened tomatoes. The balance of acidity and sweetness is perfect, making them an ideal base for a wide range of dishes.

One of the key factors that set Mutti Finely Chopped Tomatoes apart is their authentic and pure nature. These tomatoes are 100% Italian and sourced from the renowned Parma region, known for its exceptional agricultural produce. The care taken in selecting and processing the tomatoes is evident in every bite.

I have used these tomatoes in various recipes, from classic pasta sauces and soups to hearty stews and homemade pizzas. The consistent quality of the tomatoes ensures that my dishes turn out flavorful and delicious every time. They blend seamlessly with other ingredients, enhancing the overall taste without overpowering the dish.

Another aspect I appreciate about Mutti Finely Chopped Tomatoes is the convenient packaging. The 400g cans are perfectly portioned for my recipes, and the pack of 6 provides excellent value for money. The easy-to-open cans also make meal preparation a breeze, saving time in the kitchen.

As an added bonus, these tomatoes contain no added preservatives or artificial flavors, which aligns perfectly with my preference for wholesome and natural ingredients. It’s reassuring to know that I’m using a product that is not only delicious but also healthier for my family.

The only small drawback is that occasionally, I’ve noticed some variability in the consistency of the chopped tomatoes across different cans. While most are perfectly diced, a few may contain larger chunks. However, this has not significantly impacted the overall quality or taste of my dishes.

In conclusion, Mutti Finely Chopped Tomatoes have earned a permanent spot in my pantry. Their exceptional taste, natural authenticity, and versatile usage make them an indispensable ingredient for any aspiring home chef. If you’re seeking premium-quality tomatoes to elevate your culinary creations, I wholeheartedly recommend Mutti Finely Chopped Tomatoes. Prepare to be delighted by the freshness and flavor they bring to your dishes!
