I bought two – one for use now with a portable monitor that has a VESA mount on its back, and one to save for later.
[Basic Points]
1) The stand is just able to fit a 16″ portable monitor in portrait view, but you need 90 degree adaptors for any HDMI and USB ports on the lower part of the monitor.
2) Adjusting the stand tilt requires a firm hand as the joints are very stiff. I see this as a benefit, others may want to try oiling the hinges.
3) The stand is light and stays in place well.
4) The price is worth it for 20-ish, which is decently cheaper than other equivalent stands.
I was looking for a portable option for the LCD tv in the campervan and although the first one I received was tightened too much so wouldn’t unfold, the replacement is absolutely perfect for what I need. Unlike the fixed wall mounts, this one isn’t heavy but is metal throughout so plenty strong enough for our 16″ TV/DVD combo unit. It can be wall mounted (removable too) as the base has screw slots but we wanted to be able to move the TV depending on where we are watching from in the camper.
