I bought this product as I need to cut down on dairy. I struggled with creating latte art with other regular oat milk brands.

This barista oat milk has allowed me to create latte art again to the standards of dairy milk. It tastes very good too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for latte art lovers!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat milk, tastes like dairy without the lactose. Best part is the high fat content. Other milks taste like water. This tastes like real milk.

I tried them all – almond, soy, rice, coconut, sheep, goat. This is by far the closest to cow milk in taste and consistency.

This is great barista style milk.
This is the only style of milk I will ever use for a cup of biscuit tea.
Works amazingly and, if you have never tried it, you have to

I use oat milk for my cereal on a morning. When I tried this one I was really surprised by the colour I looked in the bowl and the milk looks light brown. When using it to make porridge it doesn’t look appetising at all. The flavour is ok though.

I do like this product and purchased as was a very good price.
Unfortunately, even though long life, it’s a very short shelf life.
Had to give some away or just get rid so I wouldn’t buy bulk again.

I prefer the 500 mls as I do not drink a lot of milk and liked this pack which will last longer for me. What I really liked was the good long life expiration date.. this is second time using this seller and hasn’t disappointed.. I have bought this before from other seller which came with a shorter life span which was not great so definitely recommend this selle

This is the best oat milk for coffee at home. It is creamy and foams up nicely in our home coffee machine.
I find it more reasonable to buy in a 6 pack.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFor many years, I believed what the doctor said… that I have IBS. However, I recently discovered that I have an intolerance to dairy… so I trialed a month without dairy and found Oatly to be a very tasty substitute. I’ve tried almost all of their produce, but can’t find the ice-cream anywhere near me.
Oatly, can you also make a strawberry milkshake, your chocolate one is delicious, but strawberry would be more delicious. Thanks.

I use oat milk as I dairy is not good for me, it makes me break out in such bad spots all over my body. I love popping over to see a friend and having a cupper and a natter and I forgot my milk so I was disappointed, her daughter said why don’t you keep some milk over here and I popped onto Amazon and found these half-sized cartons. I know they work out expensive but they are convenient to leave over people’s houses and not take up much space, I can keep them in my small car and again not take up much space in my tiny car. I grabbed one on my way out of the house yesterday and popped it into my rucksack.
    The milk tastes amazing!!!!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese can be pretty pricy in the shops, and I don’t have a car, so finding these for so cheap and having them delivered to the door is great. Flavour-wise, I like Oatly. I only recently swapped from normal dairy milk to oat milk. Oatly is smooth, and it tastes different to normal milk (obviously) but is pleasant in it’s own way. I tried a cheaper brand and it was a bit too thin, so I’m sticking with Oatly.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI order the Organic version of Oatly fairly regularly .
This last time I was sent the Barista version which is not to my taste with the addition of rapeseed oil making it very greasy.
I imagine the vendour mixed up the packaging as it is so similar to the Organic pack. Too late to send it back now, so if like me you wish to keep Oatly a stock do check what Amazon has actualy sent you before it’s too late to exchange it . Anyone make use of 6 Barista Oatlys ?
Incidentally the Organic variety make great creamy Museli, Porridge and is great for making bread instead of water as it still contains gluten, unlike many new brands popping up, now those are watery !

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ve not been drinking cow’s milk for many years and have tried dozens on alternatives. With so many on the market these days I’d admit I don’t know them all but this one is a firm favourite for mixing with tea and coffee and friends that usually have cow’s milk have all been happy with it in their cuppa, a couple of them are using it now instead of cow’s milk! I’ve added this to porridge for a nice creamy texture without impairing flavour and to cereal. It is delicious when chilled straight from the fridge on my muesli as it is a very nice drink too. Although great in white sauces when cooking, it is slightly off-white in colour so does change the appearance of the sauces but the taste is as good as any I’ve used before. Wait for it to come on offer and buy in multi-pack for great value. As a long life product it saves money and keeps for a long time.

Oatly is wonderful! My favourite! Barista is best for everything. I love it neat, in coffee and cocoa, on cereal, and in cooking, eg white or cheese sauces. I don’t like any other type of plant milk, eg soya, almond, hazelnut or coconut, but oat is fantastic and Oatly is THE best! I buy in bulk on subscribe and save, so it’s much cheaper than elsewhere, and I never run out! I keep a few in the fridge and the rest in a cupboard. To economise, I sometimes water it down half and half with water, as it’s lovely and creamy and fairly high in calories. I am on a diet so this helps save calories as well as cash!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersWe’ve tried multiple types of oat milk over a few years, Oatly is the one that we keep coming back too, specifically the Barista edition. We primarily use it for creating home made latte’s and hot chocolate drinks using the Hotel Chocolate Velvetiser.

The Barista Edition milk foams really extremely well compared the regular edition of Oatly milk, so if you’re wanting some foam for a Latte or creamy hot chocolate, I’d recommend trying out the Oatly Barista Edition if you’ve not been able to achieve what you’re looking for with other oat milks. We find using the Velvetiser to heat our milk for Latte’s to do a great job, so if you have one of those laying around and want to give your next coffee a boost, give it a go. If you fill the milk to the max line, you’ll get less foam than if you put a bit less milk in the chamber, so experiment a few times to find the amount of foam vs milk you prefer.

We’ve found purchasing this on Amazon to be one of the most affordable ways of having a constant supply, occasionally you can find the product slightly cheaper in supermarkets when they have offers on, but at their usual price, buying the 6 pack from Amazon works out about the same and much more convenient given it stores extremely well both out and in the fridge!

Overall, I’d say this is definitely one of the best oat milk products you can buy if you’re looking to use it for creating various hot foamy or creamy drinks at home and worth giving a try straight away if you’ve not before!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been searching for a viable replacement for milk for ages. I’m not lactose intolerant (as far as I know) but I’ve been wanting to reduce the amount of dairy consumed for a while, especially milk because of the amount of climate damage cow farming causes.

I’ve tried loads of the other alternatives, including soy milk, almond milk, pea milk, and with the exception of pea milk I couldn’t drink any of them straight from the carton. They all made me heave. I had tried supermarkets own oat milk and found the oat flavour overpowering for cereal and coffee.

I finally decided to try Oatly barista milk as I’d heard great things about it online. I’m glad I did as it tasted really nice neat. I added it to my coffee and although it doesn’t change the colour as much as milk I was pleasantly surprised at the taste. Yes, it did affect the taste of my coffee but not enough for it to bother me – it was certainly a taste I could accept. I also tried it on cereal, which was great. And also as a milkshake using Crusha – it mixed really well and was lovely and creamy.

Thanks to Amazon subscribe and save 6 packs (cheaper than buying from Tesco) I can confidently say I can now stop using cows milk.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersSo a 3 or 4 years ago I started getting a form of acne on my scalp and upper back, tried absolutely everything I could to get rid of it over the years and literally nothings worked, had even paid to see a private dermatologist who was no help. A few weeks back I came across some comments on a post on reddit about people avoiding milk cause it causes them acne breakouts. Now that’s the only thing I hadn’t tried yet and had never heard of it before, cutting milk out to prevent acne, which seemed to be backed up due to either hormones in the milk or the casein and whey affecting sebum production. Now I’m a typical 28 year old bloke I don’t follow any special dietary requirements I eat what I like and love meat, cheese, milk, sweets, fast food etc as well as getting my nutrients through a wide range of vegetables salads and fruits.

Most of my milk and dairy consumption however comes from coffee, I drink probably 4 or 5 cups a day from my barista express which I usually make latte’s, flat whites and cappucino’s with. When I’m in the office I just drink a normal coffee or “americano” with a splash of milk. I’d noticed since lockdown my scalp has been the worst it’s been for a long long time so put 2 and 2 together and next thing you know I’m looking for non-dairy barista milk and this is when I came across Oatly.

Now as someone who is unwillingly giving up milk for a health condition these are my thoughts, in no particular order:

-It foams OK, but isn’t like for like with dairy milk. If your coffee has been sat for a few minutes it sounds like a bowl of cocopops as the foam is breaking down and splitting with the crema of the coffee, however it IS better for latte art than semi skimmed but full fat milk still wins hands down here. The bubbles in the microfoam tend to be not so much on the microside and more just on the foam side.

-The packaging reeks of militant veganism and is adorned with a black and white pop art style andy-warholesque slogans such as “post milk-generation”, “know your rights” “we don’t do animals” “wow no cow”. Now I don’t give three flying profanities about veganism, I agree with the premise of animal welfare but don’t agree with plant only based diets and the hypocrisy that’s rife within the vegan army. I’m buying your product because I want a milk alternative, not because I’m an easily influenced and blinkered Corbynista university dropout trying to find some form of cause in their life to fight for after travelling around thailand stroking elephants and still not “finding myself”. I just find this part a bit ridiculous, I mean imagine buying a steak from the supermarket and the packaging being branded with “PLANT FREE” “WE LOVE MEAT” “POST-PLANT GENERATION” it sounds completely stupid and its unnecessary. Makes it feel a bit cringey to support this company, really made my toes curl when I read the box.

-The taste is slightly better than just OK, it’s not amazing, it’s doable. I find it it has a very artificial sweet creamyness which completely over powers even my most bitter coffee beans, it tastes slightly of oats but not overly oaty if that makes sense, its more the artifical taste I’m not a fan of. Also leaves a funky aftertaste in your mouth. I’ve found I’ve started to drink more Espressos than I used to, probably now 2 Lattes/Flat whites/cappucinos and 3 espressos a day.

-It HAS successfully stopped me drinking milk in my coffee. And my scalp and back have almost completely cleared up 3 weeks later so that is a positive. It’s good enough to be a substitute for milk for me so for that, 5 stars.

Over all, if you follow the whole “no sentient beings” rubbish then it’s a better milk subsitute than no milk at all whereas if you’re just lactose intolerant or sensitive to dairy like me and are giving up milk unwillingly, you’ll manage but you’ll still whole heartedly miss normal Milk.

The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is it has successfully stopped me drinking milk which in turn has cleared my adult acne up, and it would have been 5 stars if not for the ridiculous toe curling, cringey propaganda packaging.
I’m setting out on an adventure to try other types of Oat Milk and find the best one for coffee that isn’t overpowering and can still foam well.
