    First time I've tried this...
.. and I loved it. I’m sure I’ve already got all the ingredients in my spice rack, but this is very convenient, apart from getting the old off. I sprinkled it on a chicken leg.

Try a spoon full of this and a little bit of cornflour in a chicken gravy to get a southern style spicy gravy. Pour over fries and fried chicken, winner. It is the dogs nads.

I now use this on most meats, seafood, etc it goes with just about everything. I save a lot of cash by having this as I don’t need to buy most other seasonings.

There is only one Old Bay. If you’ve ever been in Maryland then you know that there is no substitute for Old Bay with crabs and shellfish. Next time you are cooking crabs from live then add some to the water or sprinkle on top of steaming and get the taste of the Chesapeake Bay. Also great when cooking fresh prawns or crayfish, added to fishcakes, or even sprinkled of chips or popcorn. There really is no substitute and nothing comes close. The container’s design hasn’t changed for as long as I can remember. The lid closes positively and keeps the seasoning fresh for a looooooong time.

    Highly recommended.

Great as a cupboard stock item as it goes well with fish and chicken and other proteins and can be the difference between a bland dinner and something a little tastier. I always keep a small tin in stock at home.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersVery tasty. Tastes strongly of celery salt.
This is a nice strong flavoured seasoning/rub which works on pretty much anything. Celery salt is very prominent in the taste profile, so if you don’t like that, you might not like this product. It has a tiny bit of heat as well…just the perfect amount…not too spicy. I love it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersYou can find this cheaper in shops
The flavour is nice and I would recommend, just would say to have a look in local shops. I found it in a supermarket for under half the price. Otherwise no issue.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBeen recommended this as a lovely rub for BBQ, not had chance to try is yet.
Having been recommended this I hadn’t found it to buy until recently. So when the opportunity arose I have bought it to put with the other herbs, spices and rubs I am slowly collecting. Planning to have more BBQ’s this year and then this should come out of the cupboard.

Really hoping that this is as nice as I’ve been told otherwise they will be struck off my lifelong friend list.

Apart from having to ask a neighbour to get the lid off for me (I have arthritis in my hands) it’s a very nice spice. A little goes a long way as I found. The first time I used it on a chicken breast I used too much and it was a too hot and spicy for me. I’ve since learned to use 1/2 a small teaspoon mixed with olive oil and rubbed into the chicken breast. Left for a few hours before putting it in the oven and it was fine. I also did the same but with less of the spice, on prawns for the BFF’S big summer bbq. It seems to be quite a versatile spice, so there are plenty of things it can be used for.
