We have this for a week so far, on the ultrasound setting since we don’t want our neighbours to be annoyed by it. It doesn’t keep the cats completely away, but they are definitely aware of it and now only occasionally come in. They do come through the garden, but do not linger; and since the thing goes off when we walk past it, the neighbourhood cats are afraid of us, too, which I don’t mind at all. It keeps magpies away, too. They hate it. I also got a small outdoor solar panel to keep it charged since it has three detectors, and with Winter approaching, I don’t want to keep connecting it to a charger. Maybe it would be okay with the solar panel that is on the top, but I’m taking no chances. I did notice that when relying on its own solar panel, its detection seemed to lose some range after a few days, and we had to get closer and closer to it before it detected us. With the extra panel connected, it goes off as soon as we come out of the back door about 4 metres away.
