pull hard
Though these come in a cheap looking bag, it is compact enough to take away on holiday say.
Very well made and the resistance is top notch with comfortable handles that are bearing up well after a few months use. Used to help gentle recovery and muscle build up from a shoulder injury and at the current price, at time of review under 20 with voucher, a bargain. Take them to work and at home.
Recommend for fitness and quality.
A compact, lightweight alternative to dumbells
I’ve got these stashed in my campervan. These for me, are an alternative to dumbells etc without the size and weight associated. They occupy very little space, very little weight and can be used for many different resistance exercises.
Many campervan users pay a monthly fee for gyms, i’m trying to keep costs to a minimum and for a one-off purchase, I can use these as & when I want to.
I’ve not rated durability as I don’t know how long these bands will last or weaken over time, but that’s not a concern for the relatively cheap price.
good for beginners and pros
These are good value yet sturdy exercise bands. With different load/resistance strengths according to your needs. Could be combined too for those who are pros.
You will get all you need to start your resistance training with this set.
Robust and versatile set of resistance tubes at a budget price
This is meant for medium weight lifting/resistance (up to 150lbs). Considering what you get for what you pay, it is very good value for money with the discount.
What I like:
– Well-presented and very complete package, with enough parts to suit most needs.
– Sturdy and good manufacturing (good stitching; thick tubes).
– Easy to set up and use.
– Level of resistance clearly marked on tubes.
– Long tubes to suit various uses and heights of users.
– Multiple handles, handles and carabiners.
– Strong connectors (seem good against tubes snapping).
– The door anchor makes it even more versatile.
– When pulling on the tubes, there’s a feeling of even resistance.
– Some instructions for basic exercises.
– Carry bag.
– Considering what you get, very good value for money when compared with similar products. Clearly, some of the other things that other brands offer come at a price.
What could be improved, but that would come at a price:
– Better handles.
– 4 more carabiners.
– Of these 4 additional carabiners that I would like, 2 would be bigger to make it easier to hook several tubes together in order to increase resitance.
– More colours: black handles, straps, etc. is a bit boring.
– Longer guarantee: 1 year is limited, especially since the brand claims that the tubes are difficult to snap.
– More instructions for exercises although, to be fair, a lot is available online for free for this type of product.
Note:
– Connecting (“staking”) several tubes together should, in theory, create additive resistance (add a tube of 10lb and another of 20lb, and you get 30lb), subject to the quality of the tubes.
– If you have larger hands, you might want to buy thicker handles.
Struggling to get to the gym also living in rural Wales far from the town I decided to try out this product, well I’m truly amazed probably the best workout I’ve had in years , easy to set up,smooth feeling when using I’m delighted so so far so good
Loved this
I absolutely loved this. Not only is it a reasonable price (<32 quid), but they include some example tubes in the packet to show you the density and durability of each rubber type, so you don't have to worry about potential injuries from cheap/nasty rubber.
These are great for home or gym training. Personally, I use these at the gym to compliment other activities, as they're so versitile. Just be cautious as these age, regardless of their quality, you can cause some serious damage with older and worn out resistance bands.
Overall, if you want some quality workouts at home, or you want to supplement your gym sessions (especially at busier gyms where the equiptment just isn't available often), grab these!
seem high quality (especially straps), versatile, make sure you learn proper technique.
PROS
-bands stretch evenly, seem high quality, and are a good assortment of resistances for working out
-all nylon straps extremely well made (multiple lines of stitching), I have no fear of failure
-this company is unusually safety minded: the package includes a sample of their tubing plus what they identify as two types of interior tubing. Each has a tiny notch of deliberate damage, and the instructions tell how to stretch them until they fail. I’m impressed by this extra effort, even though it’s mostly a sales technique: I’ve already got their tubing, so I’m unlikely to buy much more (until it needs to be replaced).
-convenient zip-bag for storage and transport
-colour-coded for resistance
-I think that this set is very good value
CONS
-I don’t like how the card that came attached to the bag got me to scan a QR code in order to watch an instructional video, but the link actually just takes me to the seller’s store. It’s not cool to be tricking your purchasers like this.
-I’m going to source a small bag to hold all the straps inside the main zip bag
-I’m not impressed by the card with included exercises. Technique is hugely important, so an actual link to a video showing the proper way to do all of the exercises they list is key, and it’s a major negative that they haven’t made one. Luckily, there are many such 3rd-party videos out there, it’d be wise to watch some beginner videos so you don’t risk injury.
MY STAR RATINGS:
1* substandard, mostly cons
2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros
3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros
4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons
5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros
Perfect for home training
As a regular gym bunny I have some experience of using resistance bands and have mostly avoided them. The bands that come with package are definitely a step up in technology, as can be seen in a nice little test leaflet that comes in your pack (see pics). Three types of bands are provided with little cuts, each to be trialled to see the outcome. The oldest band snapped instantly, reinforcing why I’ve avoided these things. However, the new tech held firm and it was much tougher to pull apart.
The pack comes with 5 different resistance bands from 10 to 50lbs, along with grips and other bits. It all seems to be relatively well made with strong stitching that shows no signs of fraying.
After using all the variations I have to say these bands really are quite good and a big improvement over previous designs. They won’t remove my primary choice for weight training — proper iron weights — but as a lower resistance form of training, maybe when I have niggling strains or injuries, they’re a great backup. I can also see these working perfectly for elderly people that would like to do basic training from the comfort of their home.
quality versatility and value
They are all well made, not with cheap material, and I’m happy and feel safe in using these bands.
Very easy to use and handy to inquorate into your exercise routine. A complete set to play and really it is flexible.
Compact so easy to store or carry around, Brilliant for traveling. Love to recommend.
Possibly the best quality resistance bands we've had...
Between my wife and I, we’ve had maybe 10 sets of bands/ cords/ ropes over the past 5 years. It all started with us receiving an “elastic ribbon” with a game/ exercise product on the Nintendo Wii… and we found a benefit from this kind of training.
Suffice to say, we’ve used similar products a lot – and we’ve hit a few different price points along the course of time, and this one (at just under 30 at the time of writing) is about average priced.
However, the quality here, and the contents, seems outstanding so far. It’s a very nicely made and complete set – including some accessories (like the door attachment) that usually aren’t included.
The only let down for us was the flimsy instructions. There’s a lot of information out there online, and even a QR code or a rudimentary link to some videos would really elevate the value here.
Love it. Recommended.
Good ki
Good kit…. bit expensive?
You get a lot in it I suppose, and they are good quality. Don’t feel like they’ll snap after a few uses. Pleased with the pack.
High quality set for all abilities and muscle groups
This set of resistance bands is way ahead of any others I have used in terms of both design and quality. Design wise there is a decent range of resistance and each one has attachment points for the handles and accessories. Quality wise they are made from a very decent feeling and (according to the manufacturer) very much more durable rubber. They include a card with various samples to show how much better theirs is over other brands.
You get enough accessories and a guide to work out pretty much every muscle group and the different resistances mean that every ability is catered for. Also included is a carry case to store it all up when not in use.
Overall I think that this is a very good set for the money and I am highly recommending it.
Comprehensive at-home workout bands
This is a well made, comprehensive set of resistance bands for at-home workouts. The bands arrive well presented in a box, and in a drawstring bag so they can be stored neatly when not in use. The bands are colour coded which makes grabbing the correct resistance quick and easy.
So far haven’t experienced any issues, the bands themselves seem durable as do the handles. Decently priced at 29.49.
Well made, easy to use and good value
One of the first things that struck me about these bands is that they are very well made and give a lot of confidence as I use them – I am not worried that they will snap. The system is easy to use and progression through the different resistance levels is equally easy, I like the fact that the bands are colour-coded and simple to adjust.
Compared to other sets available I prefer these and it is easy to find even five minutes to pull them out and have a quick workout.
Really happy, have not found any flaws so far and they represent good value for the price.
Recommended.
The Best Resistance Bands
The instant that you receive these resistance bands, you can tell that they are a cut above the rest and certainly at this price point.
They come well packaged and presented. The manufacturers and distributors have obviously made an effort there and that stands as a good signal in itself as to the effort that has gone into making the product.
The product has a unique structure that claims to provide increased protection against the bands snapping and they even provide a few different band samples in the pack so that you can have a look; compare and contrast; it inspires confidence.
They provide a resistance that feels decent too; some resistance bands struggle to provide anything close to the kind of idea of resistance that you get from looking at the weight labelling on them. These at least feel in the right ballpark.
Then there are plenty of accessories, including a cover that you can place around the bands to help protect them from wear and tear.
One specific detail is that each band appears to have its own two clips at either end that then attach to the handles. This makes it a heck of a lot easier to clip the bands on and off, set against having one clip per handle to attach and detach the bands.
The only thing left is what use you of them in your training endeavours; that part is up to you. All the best for your training to whoever is reading this review.
A handsomely presented, adaptable and robust looking resistance band set.
This is a handsomely presented, adaptable and robust looking resistance band set. Only time will tell how resistant to snapping the bands actually are, but from a modest amount of use, these seem like they will last. It comes with five bands, two handles, a door stop, 2 ankle straps and a carrying bag. It also has a very handy leaflet with exercise ideas. It has a wide variety of uses and can exercise almost every body part. It’d be useful while travelling without access to the gym, or for the next pandemic! And the price is not bad. Highly recommended.
Great quality but focused on product over purpose
This is an incredibly well engineered product. From the outer packaging to each element. It’s carefully thought about and quality materials used – especially considering the price point. However, it is almost to the point of over engineered.
Inside the pack are materials showcasing just how durable this product is and why the materials are best.
However, at the end of the day the purpose of this set is for exercising at home and alarmingly the only guidance you get for that is a ring fold out of suggested exercises. If half the thought that had been put into the rest of the materials went in to how to actually use it, this would be fab!
Still giving it 4 stars as the product is good quality and you can look on YouTube or Google for ideas on exercises.
Please note that to make the most of this product and do TRX style stretches, you need to have a door frame or something you can affix to, but not essential for rest of body weight exercises.
Great set of resistance nanda with door anchor iuni
This is a great set of resistance bands for all sorts of workouts. Comes with a door attaching anchor unit that is easy to put on a door handle and it keeps ot safe in place. I will definitively continue using these and definitively recommend!
Quality piece of kit for home gym
I like the classy look and durable feel of these bands. You can easily see the resistance weights and combine them. Love how quick and easy it is to just clip them on. Ankle straps again, are great quality with soft padded material for comfort.
The only thing I’m not fussed on is the handles. When working out the tube slides constantly in my hand which is annoying as they are not fixed. Overall though still better quality than my other set. And I loved the tube comparison card that came with it.
Generally a well made resistance band se
The set comprises 5 resistance bands starting at 10kg and rising in 10kg increments to 50kg. You also get 2 ankle straps, 2 handles, 2 caribiners, a door anchor, a bag and exercise example sheet.
What’s missing is how to set everything up but fortunately it’s fairly straightforward even if you’ve never used a set before.
The exercise example sheet is handy for ideas but way too small to really be of much use if you want to optimally perform each exercise. They’ve gone for quantity over quality here. You’d probably be better off searching for exercise examples online.
The set also has a “Value Added” card which I found a little arbitrary and unnecessary.
The webbing straps appear to be fairly robust with secure stitching.
One area of concern is the door anchor and this is the same with all resistance band sets. The webbing strap on the door anchor rubs on the door and will over time fray. The door itself is not designed be used in this way and you will find that as you increase the band level that it will start to flex even if you position the anchor right over on the hinge side of the door. So I think if you want to use this in a home setting then either just do the exercises use your feet as the anchor or get an anchor mount for the wall.
Otherwise, it’s a great resistance band se
Great set of resistance bands
I really like these resistance bands.
The set consists of five resistance bands, set up as 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50lbs (they are also labelled in metric too), a set of handles, ankle straps and a door anchor. The bands attach to the accessories through carabiner style clips so getting set up is a quick and straightforward process. The kit comes with a zippable storage bag to keep everything organised and safe.
I had a good experience using the resistance bands. It’s just a matter of make some room to exercise, do your workout and then when it comes time to store them, they take up less room than a typical set of weights, so they are great if you don’t have a lot of storage space. You can definitely feel the bands providing plenty of resistance when using them and can feel the differences between the bands in the set.
I would have liked to see a better guide for how to use the bands however. The enclosed leaflet is too small really see the suggested exercises, but I can see there are a lot of guides on how to use resistance bands out there.
Overall, these are a great set of resistance bands, and they feel sturdy and take up very little space when not in use. I really like them
OK. Handles aren't the bes
These are a decent quality set of resistance bands. The bands themselves seem like they live up to the claims of the manufacturer but, only time will tell. So far so good.
The ankle straps, door anchor etc are great quality and all of the carabiner connectors etc seem really good and are well sewn in etc.
The way the bands connect to the end points seems ok, and there’s no sign of movement or stretching on them (some cheaper bands I’ve used have basically pulled free within a few workouts)
The only downside to these is the handles, they are of a fairly good quality, but they make an irritating squeaking sound I can’t seem to avoid so I’ve swapped them out with a pair of fully plastic large handles I bought separately.
Come in a nice carry bag so can keep it all together, ideal for taking on your travels.
Will be taking these on holiday with me so I can continue my failed attempts to get a beach body.
Resistance bands are a great way to exercise, they provide really good stimulus for muscles, are very versatile and they can be great fun to use as well. Also, compared to weights, they are much kinder to the joints and are overall a great exercise method.
The biggest danger with resistance bands is snapping of the band especially when you are using Tube style bands. This is something you have to be extra careful with and you can put in some safeguards e.g. working with two bands at a go so if one snaps the other one is still holding but this is not practical for all exercises. Also, most of cheap sets you can buy are very poor quality and can easily snap
What I like about this set it that it appears to be high quality but it also has a patent pending tubing which has a lining of new braided fabric fiber at tube inner which can protect the resistance bands from fracture also not affect the elasticity when it is stretched.
In essence as it has three different components, they are not all likely to fail at the same time. This is really good to have and allows you to focus more on the exercise than worrying about a band snapping.
The kit has 5 bands and also additionally includes some foam handles, ankle straps a door handle and some extension belts. All these provide a really versatile system for different exercises.
If you haven’t tried resistance band training then it is worth considering them. If you are already use them and looking for a better quality kit then this is a great option or alternatively Bodylastics tube style bands which you also get on Amazon are a great alternative to get high quality safety built-in tube style bands.
