FAQ

Q: How often should I clean the cat water fountain?

A: We recommend cleaning the cat fountain every two weeks.

Q: How do I get a weekly/monthly replacement filter?

A: PLOOHT cat fountain has a smart prompt, when the filter change yellow light is on, we need to change the filter (AFTER WORKING 300 HOURS). More filters, you can search “B09YQZK8L2” on Amazon.

Q: How do you judge the water level of the cat fountain?

A: Have marked the “MIN” and “MAX” lines on the tank. Of course, you can add water according to the color of the LED light on the water tank of the cat drinking fountain. When the red light shows, you need to add water.

Q: What should pumps take into account?

A: First, the pump needs to be cleaned every 2 weeks; When the water level in the tank is too low, the pump stops working and a red light comes on.

Q: When should the cat fountain be charged? How long does the charge take?

A: When the battery light is yellow, you need to charge the cat fountain. When charging normally, it shows a blue light. Generally, it can be charged in 4-6 hours.

We have always had a water fountain for our cats, but this is by far the nicest looking and quietest of them all. I really like that you don’t have to have it running constantly, the motion sensor works perfectly, though the cats were a bit unsure to start with, and the filter change warning is very handy. The only thing that is a bit of a shame, is that you can’t have it running on constant unless it is plugged in.
Overall a great fountain, especially on a prime day deal price.

I’ve had multiple water fountains before all of them were wired as I always had a plug nearby. Decided to try this for convenience and as I would’ve had to have a long extension lead if I go with a plugin. Honestly the best fountain I’ve ever had. It hold a lot of water, so silent you can’t even hear it and the motion sensor works on it great. Battery life is good and you can keep operating while on charge. My cats love it and keeps them away constantly wanting to be in bathroom sink

I’ve set this up in the kitchen and I’m really pleased. This BATTERY OPERATED fountain starts up when you’re near. It does have different modes, but I just switched it on and left it to it. I’m not sure if the cat likes it. I’ve not seen him drink

Nice and quiet, as others have said, easy to clean, battery life on timed action lasts a few days.
Cat’s are a bit fussy, so sometimes they drink from it.
I removed the little rubber?, Handle on the metal tray, as one of our cats kept pulling it out…with the metal tray & water all over the floor, doesn’t do it now

At first our ragdoll was wary of the new fountain but after 48 hours he was fine with it. So much easier when he goes to the cattery to take a fountain with a rechargeable battery so we don’t have to leave spare power blocks to drive a USB version. Hopefully the battery life is as claimed – haven’t had it long enough to check yet but it’s still going well. But happy with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI love the fact this fountain has a battery back-up. A previous one I’d bought was electric only and they suggested turning off the pump periodically to give it a longer life. Well, turning off the pump meant no water was available for my cats in the reservoir on top. I turned it off overnight in the early hours I realized it was bone dry on top! What if I was away and we had a power cut?! This fountain has a “dip” in the top so some water is always available even when it is off. I love the sensor function, this saves the pump from working non stop when no one is around = longer pump life. The battery charges when you plug in the unit. After about 4 hours the battery is fully charged, you can remove the wire and it lasts about 25 days! This means I can comfortably go away for a day or two knowing my cats have fresh water available. ( I always leave ample food for them) It is super quiet. My fussy 2 yr old boy cat was drinking from it within an hour of setting it up (the one I returned neither cat would use after 3 days ) I’m very happy I’d definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersfor 40 this is a pretty good fountain i’m normally pretty harsh with reviews but i can charge it on a powerbank (2 amp output) so i dont have cables everywhere, the sensor mode is good my cat likes this and is actually drinking more water since. would recommend to anyone that doesnt want cables everywhere and needs a easy to use product, its also convenient because i dont have to put water down for my cat every day.

my only comment is that the charging plug is a bit rubbish because it only has a 1 amp output so it slow charges.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe was annoyed by all the wiring and decided to get this.

Honestly the best thing we did!

You can charge it up and it lasts around 10 days before you re-charge it again and it takes around 3 litres of water.

Different modes for what suites you and cats took to it really well.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis works very well. My cats drink alot more water since getting this. There was a pack of filters attached as bought together. They were the wrong shape and had to be cut to fit so beware of this. The charger is basic so can take a while to charge. The stainless steel top is hard to clean if you have hard water, there is a fair bitnof build up but a scouring pad sorts that.

Good product. When I failed to read the instructions properly the seller contacted me and was very nice.

Why I liked this product is that it can run on the mains or by battery. The battery lasts a good while and an indicator tells you when to charge it again. The sensor was the other reason I bought it so that it doesn’t have to run all the time.

My cat drinks from it so overall it has been a success.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have lost count of the number of discarded and expensive fountains I have purchased. The most common complaint of mine is the complex and intricate nature of the pump. In some cases it has taken my patience to the VERY limit just getting them to work. This is just wonderful. I had it unboxed, powered up and working in no time, at all. Perhaps a bit smaller than I thought but, it didn’t daunt either of my cats so the size worked well. Florence, my Persian, usually takes her time with something new but she loved this immediately and seemed to love the sensor mode and kept walking past just to set it off. The price is good ( I have spent double this and been disappointed). It’s silent, easy to keep clean, can be put it anywhere, and is cat, and owner friendly. Perfect.
