This is probably the best thing I bought this year. I had been using traditional razors for shaving but since I started using this machine my life has been much easier. This machine is far much better to razors in my opinion!
I was looking through head shavers as I have for a few years now but never believed the product would satisfy my needs on a daily or every other day use. I’ve looked at the Big Brands like Skull Shaver etc and never purchased one and stuck with my regular gillette mach 3 turbo for face and head.
The other day this product caught my interest and the deal that was available was a no brainer for the price of the quality product being advertised.
The parcel came and I opened it and was pleasantly surprised with the extra attachments and the range of them.
I turned the shaver on and the battery was at 80 % so as per instructions I charged it fully before use.
The first thing I noticed was how comfortable the shaver was in your hand and the grip that you had of the shaver.
I have sensitive skin and had shaved with my usual razor as above and the hair on my head was spiky , I used the shaver and after only a short time using it my head was smooth and shaved again.
I had only bought it for my head however I used it on my face and was just as pleased with the smooth shave on my face the same as my head.
No rash , no redness or any irritation from the shaver.
The battery life is good and since the first charge it’s still in the 70 % battery life left.
Really pleased with this shaver and would definitely recommend it.
Razor for bald head
Great shaver brought this for my son he loved it so easy to use, brought 2 more one as present for friend and one for myself it perfect for legs, even facial hair, a couple of years ago I brought a facial razor which was tiny with a small round head but this razor has 5 tiny round heads so easy to use would recommend for woman as well as men also a very good price.
Good battery life & close shave
Have tried a few shavers over the years in this price bracket and found that the battery would last 3-4 shaves (head and face) initially, then diminishes rapidly after a few weeks. This shaver’s battery lasts a full 7 days and it has already been a few weeks, so I’m really happy with this one. 5 stars from me!

Original Review: On first use found the unit good, but after about 10 uses noticing a decline in cut performance although I clean after every use and have bought a cleaner/lube as the shave head got “smelly”
Paint also stared to flake off the body of the power unit.

Great shaver great price.
I have used these shavers from China for quite a few years and find them very good value, this particular shaver is very good and gives a very close shave, I have managed 4 shaves for each battery charge and takes approximately 90 to 120 minutes for full charge, it’s just what I need being on the go.
UPDATE… AFTER ONLY ONE WEEK WHEN THE BATTERY SHOWS APPROX 40 MINUTES OF CHARGE LEFT THE SHAVER STOPS DEAD. DO NOT BUT THIS PRODUCT AS THEY ARE FAULTY CHINESE RUBBISH. MINE HAS NOW GONE IN THE BIN.

I’ve had it for about 3 weeks or so. Good close cut, maybe not as close as a blade but much easier to use. The attachments are good as well. Currently I’d say it’s great value for money. Much better value than the well known rival shave
Close shave and great value.
Bought this shaver after using barbers clippers for a couple of years and felt I wanted a closer shave to my head. Decided to give these a try after looking at the reviews, which seemed pretty fair.
Bought for 39.99 which felt like a safer test than the more expensive Skull shaver at 100+
PRO’s
* The first shave was impressive, took a little time to get an even and all over close shave, but after using for a while figured out the best method and direction to achieve it.
* I had previously used a razor on my head a couple of times in the past and was surprised to find my first use of the shaver was almost as close, I was not expecting that result.
* The shaver comes with a barrage of attachments, the nose trimmer and beard trimmer work very well and there is even a couple of face massage attachments which I’ve not tried as yet.
* Easy to open up the shaving heads and clean with the provided brush.
* Easy to operate and charges quite quickly.
CON’s
(After a weeks worth of hair growth)
* Often require to go over some areas of my head repeatedly and at times doesn’t feel as if the shaver is doing anything, specifically at the back. After a while I figured out there was a certain direction the shaver worked better.
* Found I required to clean the shaver heads 2-3 times before I finished shaving my head.
* Hair is not stored in a collection area or has a vacuum function like the Skullshaver, but does not make a lot of mess either. Downside as mentioned, the hair gathers in the shaver heads.
* Doesn’t have a solid feel to the shaver, cheap feeling plastic.
* Battery charge lasts for around 2 complete head shaves, but that will be dependent on how long you take to shave (I take ages)
I’ve not tried using the shaver wet, which may make a difference but could also create additional cleaning or possibly make it easier, unsure at this time.
Overall, I would recommend as a decent shaver or at least as a transition to this type of head shaver. Certainly better than using barbers clippers, in my opinion. I’m not convinced about how long the shaver will last, but for the price I can’t complain and I’m sure I’ll get at least a year or two from it.
Cuts well!
Used it once it cut very well. Much better and faster than the standard clippers I was using before. Head was a little fiddly to remove for cleaning, feared I may break it but it came off ok in the end.
Good shaver, but important info…
Does a great job when you know how to use it, important to not try it on hair grow more than 2 weeks.
Previously shave down to 0.4mm all over my head and tried this after two weeks growth, it it jammed the blades and the shaver cut out but showed 98% power.
I thought it was defective but it had clogged.
Granted I’m new to the close shave look, but definately clip your hair first before going for the close shave
Other than that, can’t fault it, only used once so far but does a great job when you know how to use it properly
Broke within an hou
It really does produce a very close shave. I was very impressed. However, after I’d cleaned it one of the heads came away from the clip. I returned the item for a refund. Its a shame because it performed so well, but it does feel somewhat cheaply made, which is why it broke so easily, I suppose.
The product itself isn’t bad however there are a few flaws .
The fittings do fit but are a bit fiddly it does give a nice cut very close but it does burn a fair bit as well definitely better when used with some cream .
The trimmer is ok however I have the sort of hair that would give sheep shearers nightmares it does work but it takes some doing on thicker hair to get through .
Overall not bad but not the best eithe
I used this last night straight out the box as it came fully charged. Honestly I can’t believe how good it is. Mine is the R5 – the gold one. I’ve had a few electric razors and clippers over the years but none have really blown me away so I tend to let my hair grow till I look scruffy then shave it in the mirror with normal clippers and shower afterwards. I bought this on a bit of a whim thinking I should know better, but I’m absolutely over the moon with it! I’m actually bald so it’s just the sides and back I need to shave and I had about 4 days growth. This little beauty shaved it beautifully without skipping a beat in about 2 or 3 minutes and used 15% charge. No hair to hoover up, no pulling, and a very close shave – closer than the lowest setting on my clippers. No nicks, no neck rash. Later on I decided to try it on my face – it was much better than the shavers I’ve bought over the years. I’ll always prefer a wet shave with a traditional razor but great to know this will do the job when I’m travelling – and it’s weirdly better than the dedicated face shavers I’ve had in the past!
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it doesn’t have a USB C charging port – the R8 does but the R5 doesn’t. It’s just a a bit annoying as I’ve got USB C all over the house charging tablets and phones etc but need to charge this on it’s own specific cable, which isn’t particularly long either. In saying that the battery seems long lasting enough to take it travelling without worrying about remembering its own charger… So I just keep it on my desk
The manual isn’t up to much – all I wanted to know was how to open it and clean it but couldn’t work it out so had to find a video on the internet. Basically you flex the heads and lift them from the inside (nearest the centre head) then then rotate the centre head anti-clockwise I’d say maybe 1/8 of a turn to remove it.
All in all a great bit of kit, 4.5/5 would probably sum it up better – I’ll report back if I have any issues with longevity.
I wanted to get a few uses out of this first before writing a review just in case the quality degraded or any problems came to light. But no, so far I am impressed.
I am about to use this product to shave my head a 6th time, and actually I haven’t charged it yet – it even came fully charged for me.
I haven’t used many of the attachments, but to be honest more expensive branded head shavers don’t come with attachments so these were always an extra, at a cheaper price overall anyway.
As for head shaving this is purely brilliant, I should have got one sooner. I spent years wet shaving with a razor. The problem with a wet razor is having to spend extra time soaking and waiting for your hair follicles to soften, shaving in different directions etc.
But with this product, if you only have one or two days growth on your head this will take care of it easily using it dry. And actually what I am doing for longer growth is using it wet with shaving cream – it handles it so well and fast, no snagging or pulling hairs with that method.
In all honesty I am now using it wet with shaving cream all the time because it just glides, such a nice feeling and I have a fully shaved head in minutes. Personally I think it’s easier to clean that way too, you can just dip the shaver in and out of the water and run it under the tap to clear it out pretty well without having to open it up.
So overall, great product that doesn’t feel like a chore.

Very easy to use saves so much time, before I used a razor and it was very difficult getting lots of cuts on the back of my head etc, now I have this that’s all a thing of the past head is shaved in less than 5 minutes.
Comes with lots of handy accessories, great battery life and a handy cover to put over shaver head so I can just throw it in my bag and take it with me whenever I’m away from home.

Superb Shave
I’ve bought a few head shavers over the years but this one is the best yet. As a man, who has shaved my head for over 30 years, it’s taken some time to do this with older shavers and some haven’t taken my hair down to the scalp. This shaver takes literally minutes to do a full head shave and does take it down to the scalp. My head feels smooth all over and I’m only shaving my head twice a week instead of 3 or 4 times a week. I would recommend this product to any person who shaves their head.

Very reasonable price for the product.
The charge lasts for approx 1 hour of full on use which is plenty.
The shaver has good coverage with the 7 separate blades.
Comfortable to hold and comfortable on your head, have not received any cuts.
The compartments fill up with hair quite quickly as they are small so it’s better to not let your hair grow out too much before using again, perfect for bald men.
The one negative of this product is that it is quite fiddly to clean however once you get used to it, it’s not so bad.
