Twotrees Double Side Textured and Smooth PEI Sheet 310x310mm PEI Bed for CR10 CR10 S Smart Mega X Sidewinder X1 X2 S8 Pro S8 Plus KP5L Magnetic Spring Steel Print Bed Mat Build Plate

Twotrees Double-sided PEI sheet (one side smooth, one side textured)

There is a protective film on the smooth side, tear off the protective film before use.

This product needs a released agent on the smooth side for PETG.

Once the bed cools, the prints come easily right off, If you do happen to get a stubborn print that you can’t get off easy, and give it a quick flex to pop the prints right off. No scraping required.

Do not use a metal scraper to Rremove your prints, you will scrath the surface and ruin the PEI bed.

For materials that don’t stick as well (like nylon) or materials that can stick too well (some PETG, TPU),

We recommend using PVA glue (glue stick or diluted washable school glue) to act as a release agent or adhesive.

Was finding the included print surface of my printer frustrating with variable results for no reason.

Bought this Two Trees pei sheet and had no issues at all since using it.
First layer sticks well with no need for glue stick or any other treatment.
When bed has cooled the part either comes off very easily or is just sat there already released due to the bed cooling.
Used it with PLA, PETG, ASA & TPU.
I liked it so much that when I got another printer the first thing I bought was another two trees PEI print sheet for that printer too.

i have no issues with this platform, iv been using 2 of them on different printers for several months, i print a lot using normal PLA and LW PLA and have no issues at all, the key to success with these is to keep them clean, i clean min with rubbing alcohol after every print.

This is my second one of these- I have two printers, and I ran a comparison (~100 prints) with and without this sheet.
Without I need tape or glue stick, and it still gets edge lift. With it just sticks every time. Great adhesion, and it pops off when cold. If in a hurry, the sheet can be lifted and flexed to remove. Saves hours of applying tape/glue and works much better. So I bought another!

If you’ve ever had layer adhesion, print removal, or bottom surface quality issues, this is the surface for you. Prints will adhere easily and release as soon as the bed cools. The flexible magnetic surface makes it quite easy to remove any stubborn prints and the texture doesn’t affect ABL.

Be mindful not to print PETG on this, or crash your nozzle into the bed. PETG binds to the PEI and will remove the coating, and a nozzle crash will scratch the surface.

I’ve used glass for a few years but the coating must have worn off and I kept getting failed prints. Switched to this and it worked well instantly. Using the same temps, all the prints stuck. Easy to remove prints.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well with PETG, PLA and Silk PLA

I have a TT plate on my X1 and decided to get this one for the Genius. I personally like them over many other plates, as they’re smooth both sides, (not that heavy granular like on typical PEI plates)
Once Z height is set and first layers work, this will give prints that are glass smooth on the bottom. And I have honestly have very little issues with TwoTrees beds with PLA, PETG and TPU. The latter is a nightmare on the bumpy PEI surfaces, as it sticks and rips the coating off.
I use the shiny steel side for TPU and the golden side for all other materials.
Just wish they would do a circular one for the Delta printers

Purchased in Jan 2023 for use on my Ender3 S1.
I have printed a good few items which I had great bed adhesion for and release, until I didn’t.
The textured side was great until the bed surface lifted at the same time as a print.

Pretty disappointing as I’m halfway through a series of prints and I can’t continue to set the same finish on my prints as I’d have to use the smooth side.

I wish I had bought these sooner. Gone is using tape or glue or other things. Stocks every-time and easy to remove after. It has removed the stress and fingers crossed element of a print. BUY this you will not regret it.

I purchased this PEI print bed a few months ago as I was having more and more issues with the stock glass bed my printer shipped with plus I wasn’t happy with the extra weight the glass added. This print bed is very simple to install and only takes a matter of minutes (but you do need to let the glue on the magnetic mat cure before using it – I left it overnight).

I’ve found that I very rarely get a first layer fail since using this print sheet. I tend to print in PLA, PLA+, PETG and TPU and, so far, all work flawlessly. In fact PETG likes to stick a little TOO well but babystepping a couple of notches upwards before starting the print solves this and still gives good adhesion. I also love the choice of a smooth or textured finish as this can make a big difference sometimes to how a final print will look. I did find it helps to babystep a notch or two downwards when printing on the textured side (except with PETG) as this helps give a little more squish.

Overall I’m very pleased with this PEI sheet and it has made first layers much more relaxing as I know that, for the vast majority of the time, it’ll be just fine. After printing and letting the bed cool to room temperature most prints virtually fall off with no issues at all – at most a little flex of the sheet will free them easily.

All in all I really like this print bed even though I do consider it a little on the pricey side. Recommended for peace of mind and the option of a nicely textured (and almost professional) finish for those prints that would benefit from it or the silky smooth (and non glue stained) finish to your standard prints.

Used this on my first cr10v2. Still going after 500 hours. Purchased it again for my second cr10. My first print had 5 models. All exactly the same. All the pieces fell off easily. Pla 205c bed 55c. The centre model broke part of the bed with very little effort.
It’s annoying because I cannot buy a sheet only. I have to get the magnetic bed as well. I know this is a one off but i can’t buy this again because I only need the sheet. I hope this issue can be resolved. I need the smooth side for my project. I’m currently using the textured side but it looks ugly.

Update: seller will be sending me a new build surface free of charge. As I mentioned. I used these without any issues. I still highly recommend them and the seller.

5.0 out of 5 stars First print. Centre model broke part of the build surface.

on my Ender 3 i upgraded to glass be leaving it would be best and had so many issues with adhesion and lifting edges and i tried all the tricks and when it did stick it was to stuck and i would often damage the print trying to remove it, add the hassle of removing and clipping the glass back in place and it was a nope, this PEI magnetic on the other hand is fantastic and once you install the magnetic side its easy to place the PEI sheet on, adhesion issues where gone instantly and prints are welded down so long as the bed is heated and as it cools the prints self release

Thought I’d give this a go because of the other reviews on here. Firstly I had a small problem with the original order and the seller responded quickly and sent out a replacement very quickly (great service).
I have found that using this with the magnetic bed that I have to set up the initial temperature at 60C and can turn it down after a while. So far I’ve used both the textured side and the ‘shiny’ side with equal results although the textured side leaves a decent surface on the bottom. Just remember to allow to cool to room temperature and the prints come off easily and a quick wipe with some isopropyl and paper towel keeps it in good condition.
I would recommend this after using a glass bed for a while which began to give adhesion problems.

It’s decent build plate for hard materials, good adhesion when hot and easy releasing when cools down. Issue with flexible materials. Tried TPU and during removal texture from logo just peeled of, so currently it’s just useless, as can’t print anything which covers company logo

I’ve been using the default V2 glass bed for over a year now and had to rely on a thick layer of glue to ensure PLA sticks and PET-G releases. This is a revelation, as long as it is perfectly clean PLA and PET-G stick when it’s hot and release when it’s cold. A very worthwhile upgrade!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAlthough the bed is nice and prints come out OK, the quality of the material is questionable, little bubbles have formed in the sheet after 1 day of use at 60c.

Prints seem to stay very well stuck to the sheet tho with the bed at 60c and come of easily with a little bend once cooled. Much easier than the glass bed I was using before.

Anyone leaving reviews saying their print wouldn’t stick need to set up their printer properly first because I have no problems at all.

4.0 out of 5 stars Strange bubbles but seller sent replaceme

Exceptional build quality and customer service. I had a slight issue with the first one of these I received. A very minor defect along one edge that didn’t affect it’s ability to be used. The seller reached out and sent me a new one immediately. Cant fault the customer service. And the bed itself is incredible. Hold firm when heated and releases immediately once it begins to cool. Also double sided. Perfect upgrade for my ender s1 and fits directly on the original bed base. Just remember to change your Z offset as this one is slightly thicker than the original one.

    Update: 03/08/2023
I’ve been using this print surface for a while now. But I’ve had to knock 1 star off the overall review.

Print bed is still VERY good but issues arise when you are printing at higher temps.

Bubbles appear on the smooth surface (all over it). But even worse on the textured side. where the TT logo is the “painted” bit comes off… so in the middle of my textured print surface i have a “smooth” hole where the texture has come off and more is now lifting.

To the sellers credit i did get another one sent out but had exactly the same issues. i imagine if the logo wasn’t on the build plate it wouldn’t have come off.

Its also worth mentioning I let the plate cool down completely before taking prints off.

    Old Review:
I have been plagued with adhesion problems for the last 3 to 4 months, i already had an original Creality Glass bed and also the magnetic build surface that came with the printer. even with cleaning both just didn’t cut the mustard and i kept getting ruined prints lifting from the plate.

Bought this, installed it in around 5 mins and was printing test prints within 10…

Instant bed adhesion on the rough side for the first calibration cube and then i though id try the smooth side, which actually gave me even better results.

i attached a screenshot of a raft from a print. Genuinely the nicest surface I have worked with and not an ounce of bed glue needed as yet !

    highly recommend

4.0 out of 5 stars Really impressed!

The textured side is great, fantastic grip, good self reelease and leaves a very nice effect on the underside of prints.

The smooth side however is awful, the pei is very soft meaning it’s damaged by even relatively blunt objects if you happen to wave them anywhere nearby. The nozzle left a mark on the bed while heating above it, not touching it, but sitting at first layer distance (also the nozzle only went to 205C which should be below glass transition of PEI). I accidentally caught the surface with my nail and it ripped a huge gouge out of it. I have a different PEI sheet from another manufacturer that is like diamond by a hardness comparison (and has had heavy use for 2 months and is still adhering incredibly well to this day) No gouges by accidentally catching it with a nail.

Tldr: If you want a textured bed that side is great, if you want smooth seriously don’t buy this

EDIT: After talking to seller they very kindly sent me a double sided magnetic PET sheet to make up for my bad experience with the smooth PEI side and I have to say it’s quickly become my favourite print surface. Basically flawless, needs minimal cleaning and leaves a very pleasing carbon fibre look on the base of the print, Upped review to 4 stars to reflec
