Using this with a Macbook Pro 16″ mostly to expand the port and charge it. Previous one I tried was rated at 90W but the macbook (and a DELL XPS) would frequently complain it wasn’t kicking out enough power. No issues with this at all. Powering a few admittedly low power devices from the USB ports but it’s fine. USB 3 passs through to the USB samsung monitor I use is fine also.
Excellent USB dongle hub thing. It’s been working great for me in my WFH setup. I’ve got two 1440p monitors, laptop, charger, monitor light bar, 4k webcam and Keyboard all running through this without any issues whatsoever. I’m not sure it’s delivering the whole power of the 160w charger but it still charges my laptop that needs 160w so I can’t complain.
Both my monitors seem locked to 60hz which is fine even though one is 144 and the other 240 but I don’t need super fast refresh rate to do excel spreadsheets.

This dock is the perfect partner to your device that has limited IO.
I have a notebook and a steam deck, that this transforms into a powerhouse of IO.
I really like the triple monitor ports on this, it really works well and gives you fantastic amounts of desktop real estate.
The build quality is great, it seems to be made of a robust aluminium alloy and will deflect any knocks or bangs that you would normally inflict on this in a laptop bag.
Value wise, I think it is fine, I would like to see this a little cheaper, but when you consider you probably wouldn’t ever need any other dock, then this seems like a bargain, especially if you have 3 monitors.
For that alone, it’s worth the purchase.
5 easy star s for this, it’s just plain great.
This is an extremely nice, compact but comprehensive unit. It has an attractive Gunmetal Grey ridged finish and a (presumably) aluminium outer case, which will help with cooling. It has Two USB A 2.0, One USB A 3.1, One USB C 3.1, 3 HDMI, One Gigabit RJ45 Ethernet port, SD and Micro SD card reader slots, a USB C Power Delivery 3 passthrough socket (for charging through the unit) and a 3.5mm Audio Jack socket.
I tested this unit plugged into an HP Notebook running Windows 10 (not S). Plug and Play was almost seamless with no interaction required to load the required drivers. I say almost because one device was not properly recognised and the windows search for/update driver functionality failed to resolve the issue.
Interestingly, I found that the Ethernet and Memory Card slot functionality did not require a Power Supply connected to the unit. I expect the various USB slots would work fine as well, which I will test in due course.
Gigabit Ethernet: worked straight off the bat and connected and recognised as a Gigabit connection.
Card Slots: I was curious as to how the Memory card slots would perform, so I tested them with a Lexar 64GB Micro SDXC Class 10 UHS-II U3 card and a Samsung SD to Micro SD adapter (rated ‘up to’ 150MB/s read speed). I copied a folder of photos amounting to 8GB data back and forth from card to Notebook hard drive and vice versa. The results were as follows: Plugged into MicroSD slot, Lexar Reads managed 117 MB/s and Writes managed 38MB/s. To further satisfy my curiosity, I plugged the Lexar card into the SD slot via SD to MicroSD adaptor, whereupon Lexar Reads only managed 57 MB/s, so stick to MicroSD if you can. Small point; SD card slot is ‘upside down’ so you have to insert SD card with connections facing ‘up’
HDMI: I tried plugging my Samsung TV into all 3 HDMI slots, with and without the unit powered but could not achieve connection/detection. Perhaps that is the unresolved driver issue I encountered – Windows Device Manager was not at all informative on the matter. I did cross-check by plugging my Samsung TV into the HDMI slot on the Notebook and it worked fine…
In summary, If you want an extremely comprehensive unit that only takes up one USB C socket on your Laptop/Notebook/PC then this unit is a worthy contender though it is a bit on the expensive side at 60.99 as reviewed (minus 20% if you’re lucky enough to be offered that voucher). If you don’t need all that functionality, there are cheaper options on Amazon with almost the same amount of features.
With working from home now the ‘new norm’ it’s benefical to have a decent monitor set-up but laptops only come with one HDMI port and 1 or 2 USB-C ports.
So When I saw this hub had 3 HDMI monitor ports it was ideal for my home office set-up.
The Hub has 3 HDMI ports as well as a network port, 2 USB-C ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports and a USB 3.1 port.
The hub also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and SD and Micro SD card slots.
The hub it made from aluminium like a solid construction.
Definitely a good option for people who have a multi-monitor set-up at home.
Just when you thing USB docking stations have reached a pinnacle, this one arrives.
It has weight and appears to be top quality.
It has sockets for everything you can ever need. Although some reviewers might quote and dispute speeds etc for most people this will do everything you could ever need from a single plug!

Solid build and looks the business. I don’t need multiple monitor outputs but the extra slots for things like SD and USB are really handy for my MacBook Pro. Power through as well. Really good little device. Perfect for the home office.
This looks and feels really well made. Nicely presented and only thing is the connection cable is only about 8-9″ long, ok into side of laptops, but behind a PC or all-in-one could be restritive.
Otherwise, think the question is what can’t you inter connect or use.
You’ve got multiple USB A, USB C, HDMI along with sd and TF card readers, gigabyte ethernet and PD charging. In total 12 connections which really should fulfil mosts multi screen/machine issues.
Seemlessly interfaces with windows 10, seen here with an external high speed wifi and USB stick. Did have sd card in, plus garden Vidcam, to test it fully, copying files to the usb stick, watching a movie on PC, downloading the Vidcam images over to the sd card, with a USB set of earbugs
All loaded and worked perfectly well, the movie carried on, sound no issue, while the different copies when surprising fast considering the copy devices.
Seems like a great add on to free up the back of the PC which has limited USB and HDM faciities.
If you’ve lots of things to link together with limted PC/Laptop resource, this will definatly help you out.
Fabulous (12 in 1) plug and play docking station to suit most situations and free up some desk space. All the ports had good connectivity and the unit is made from an alloy metal with a nice finish to it.

Very impressed with the build and quality of this hub. Every edge and surface is beautifully rounded off and the anodized aluminum body is perfectly finished. Fit and finish in general is excellent.
I’m fond of the heatsink-like design. It’s about the size of a compact smartphone. The markings are fairly discreet, including the branding.
The attached cable is chunky but flexible, and about 245mm from the hub to the end of the connector.
The port selection is rather good. You’ve got full-size and MicroSD slots (which appear to be high-speed, though I’ve not tested this), three (!) HDMI ports, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C PD input, a single USB-C 3.1, two USB-A 2.0 and a single USB-A 3.1; in addition to a 3.5mm TRRS headset jack.
My use case for these USB-C hubs is with a Galaxy Fold 3 running Samsung Dex.
First thing to note regarding ‘100W PD’ passthrough charging; while my phone and charger both support ‘Super Fast’ charging; this is reduced to ‘Fast Charging’ when connected through the hub. Since one of the marketing photos suggests the hub takes a 15W cut from the incoming power, that might be enough to drop the charging rate. Not a problem, but something to take into account.
HDMI output works absolutely fine. I can even power the portable 17″ display I have from one of the USB-A ports. Perfect for Samsung Dex use.
My desktop computer with on-board 2.5Gb/s Ethernet can max out the 1Gb/s connection from my Virgin Hub, which tops out at about 945Mb/s. With that disabled and the cable plugged into this hub instead, I get exactly the same speeds; this hub is definitely a Gigabit-capable device when used with a desktop or laptop computer.
However Ethernet speeds while connected to the phone (which did detect and use the Ethernet connection without issue) were limited to about 370Mb/s. I’m not sure where the bottleneck is here; but it seems you’re unlikely to get the full 945Mb/s on a mobile device; not that 350-400Mb/s isn’t plenty for the use case.
I don’t have a spare high-performance MicroSD card to hand to test the card slots; but other reviews suggest the speeds are decent.
Since I’m into my audio I did try out the headphone/headset socket with some decent headphones; the Audeze LCD2C and the Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro.
Both headphones can be driven to my preferred volume with this hub; though the LCD2C sounded a little muddy with bloated bass, while the 250Ohm DT1990 Pro sounded great; usually a sign that the output impedance is quite high. Overall a clean and reasonably strong output with no noticeable background noise; but not outstanding.
This is a high quality, well-equipped product; but it’s also the most expensive of its type that I have. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
This docking station has made my work life so much easier.
The dual monitor adapter allows me to connect two external monitors to my laptop, giving me a much larger workspace and improving my productivity.
The additional USB A and USB C 3.0 ports are incredibly convenient for connecting peripherals and transferring data at high speeds.
I also appreciate the SD/TF card slots for easy access to my files.
The docking station is compatible with various laptop brands like Dell, HP, and Lenovo, which gives peace of mind knowing that it will work seamlessly with various devices.
The only reason I am not giving it a full five-star review is that I have experienced some occasional connectivity issues. Other than that, the MOKiN USB C Docking Station is a fantastic addition to my setup and I recommend it.
The video shows exactly what you get and my initial impressions of build quality as well as a quick overview of the ports, so I won’t go into all that here. Instead, I’ll go into what I consider most important: the transfer speeds and the port functionality. Full testing methodology included below for your information, but really, the summary is all you need to know.
Summary: I test loads of hubs and Mokin ones do tend to be pretty good. This one was no exception. The telltale sign of a decent hub is the Micro SD port – if they put a decent reader on it that can achieve speeds in the 90MB/s+ range, you know they haven’t skimped on the other components. This hub is excellent.
This hub is capable of outputting video to an external display, although you should remember that the USB C port on your computer or device must be able to display video over USB C to use the display features (not all USB C ports do).
Pros & Cons:
+ Good/expected: Almost no drop in performance for the USB 3 Type A, USB C Data, Micro SD and Power Delivery ports compared to plugging into the computer directly.
+ Good/expected: HDMI port worked without issue.

This is a great docking station for laptops, appears very well made and good materials used but i did knock 1 star off as i feel it’s a little expensive.
I like the way this offers a mirror screen to a second laptop which is perfect when sharing documents, photo’s etc.

While multitasking across screens, I’ve always felt the need for a seamless experience. This tool enhances productivity by allowing dual monitor extension. The data transfer speed is commendable, making file sharing swift. Charging my laptop while using this is a bonus. It fits well with my laptop and carries a modern look without being obtrusive.
This hub comes in standard card packaging, which does the minimum in protecting the contents.

For clarity I will list the exact ports this has: An SD card slot, microSD card slot, 2 x HDMI 4K 60Hz, 1 x USB-C PD 100W power port, 1 x USB-C 3.0, and 2 x USB-A 3.0. This selection should have you covered for most data transfer needs, the only thing missing is new USB 3.2.
This hub fulfils all the specs and abilities claimed in the amazon listing, although you won’t be actually getting 100W out of this, about 85W is the most. This is normal on 100W charging hubs. In testing there was a decent amount of heat at this power draw, but nothing out of the ordinary for a PD charger.
The twin video output is obviously the most notable feature of this hub. On Windows 10 and 11 it supports both Extend and Mirror mode, but MacOS cannot extend two different images but only display the same ones due to the current MacOS limitation. When using multiple video outputs at 4K you may get a Hz drop to 30hz, which is a bit annoying, this seems to be a hardware limitation. If you are using 2580 x 1440 you should get 60hz on three displays no problem.
The build quality is good, as I have come to expect from Mokin.
The RRP on this is 42.99, which is far too high. However, right now it is at 34.39, and that is close to the 30 that I think this is really worth.
Since using this MOKiN 8 IN 1 USB C Docking Station, I’ve been able to connect and extend my laptop to my 2 extra screens, which has given me much more convenient access to do more when I am working. It also provides pretty fast and reliable data transfer speeds, however, I personally wouldn’t use it for gaming. It is ideal for using with my phone though, which is fantastic for me as I can easily connect my phone to my larger screen to access all of my files and such without issues. The connection is smooth and reliable, with no lags or failures. It also didn’t require me to download any additional software on my phone, which I appreciate. It’s has quite a steady connection when used properly, and has made working from home much easier for me, as I now use 3 screens from connecting either my laptop or phone, while using my 1 mouse and keyboard set.
This docking station is an indispensable tool in my workspace. It easily manages multiple peripherals, making my laptop an efficient command centre. The dual HDMI splitter is a standout feature. It gets five stars from me.
Mokin design and build excellent computer peripherals, an example of this is that this hub has an individual serial number, and it is not a label!
This hub has 3 x USB 3.0 ports when a lot of other manufacturers have moved on to providing USB 3.1 or USB 3.2. There is a USB-C power input port, so you could either use this to charge other devices or plug in portable storage devices.
Physically, I like this docking station, as I’ve found Mokin deliver first class items, though I think this docking station is probably a little overpriced when compared with some other docking stations. Personally, I don’t always go for the cheapest product, so I would be prepared to pay the premium price for another one of these docking stations.

This is a USB C hub that adds a lot of functionality to my laptop which suffers as many do with a lack of ports to save on space and cost I presume, gone are the days where a laptop had every port you needed.
It plugs into the single USB C port on my HP laptop and works a treat, the USB C charger plugs into the hub and powers the laptop and all my other accessories now plug directly into the hub – keyboard, mouse, pair of screens etc

Swapped into my laptop setup this multi-port hub, providing multiple outputs from a single USB-C port. Carrying this around felt no more burdensome than a pocketbook, very travel-friendly indeed. For a desk-bound freelancer, the dual display feature is gold. Handling two screens at the same time efficiently bumped up productivity. Minor gripe for Mac users – the dual display simply mirrors the screen, no extended display. Data transfer was zippy and the power delivery ensured my machine stayed juiced up. A range of brands played nice with this gadget. Quiteanupgrade.
This MOKiN docking station expands a Thunderbolt 3 / Thunderbolt 4 / Full-Functioned USB-C port of a laptop into 8 simultaneously usable ports. These are:

A good blend of ports. An Ethernet port would have been a welcome addition, as would a VGA port, but there are plenty of docking stations available with those, for anyone who needs that particular functionality.
At 60 Hz refresh rate and 4K video resolution, each HDMI port delivers a flicker-free display with no stutter or lag. On my RoG Zephyrus G15 gaming laptop running Windows 11, the MOKiN hub’s HDMI ports work perfectly in MST mode or SST mode. Mac computers, due to limitations of their M chips, don’t support MST – otherwise known as Extend Mode. They do support SST – otherwise known as Mirror Mode. So Mac owners can use this MOKiN docking station, but they won’t have access to MST mode. This is not a failing of the MOKiN dock. It’s a weakness of the M chips in Apple computers.
The dock’s USB 3.0 ports (2 x USB-A and 1 x USB-C) offer fast data transfer. Newer incarnations of USB technology (USB 3.1 and 3.2) offer (theoretically) speeds twice as fast as those delivered by this hub’s USB 3.0 ports, but docking stations featuring 3.1 and 3.2 ports tend to have a steeper price tag, plus their maximum data-transfer rates are theoretical – in practice, the actual rates achieved are usually dramatically less than the stated theoretical max, due mainly to the spec of the external drives, cables and computers connected to the docking station. So unless you have a state-of-the art Thunderbolt 4 laptop and external hard drives/cables that support USB 3.2, there’s no point shelling out vast sums of money on a docking station with 3.1 or 3.2 ports, as it wouldn’t be any faster than one with 3.0 ports (such as this MOKiN model). For 99% of people, USB 3.0 is more than fast enough. This MOKiN drive isn’t exactly future proofed, but for now it’s perfectly adequate.
The PD port is handy for charging or powering USB-C devices. It works as it should.
Both card readers work well and can be used simultaneously. Not all docking stations support that function. Many hubs feature SD and TF card readers that can’t be used at the same time.
As is standard among docking stations, this MOKiN one has an aluminium shell. Ideal for a blend of lightness, structural strength, and excellent heat dissipation.
I’ve no criticisms of this little hub. It lives up to its spec and performs well. The current price of 42.99 is fair.

USB-C hubs come in various sizes, but broadly they are cased in grey alloy, rectangular in shape, with the size of the box growing to accommodate more connections.
The main price driver is the number of display ports – although the USB socket standard also matters.
The first question is, do I have a USB C port that provides for at least data and display?
The next is then; how many displays do I want to drive, and at what standard of defintion?
This hub has two HDMI ports at up to 4K@60Hz; how one can use multiple displays is hardware and software dependent, so best check what your device can deliver. The description includes an infographic showing how the two main Operating systems differ in this regard.
One HDMI port is at the end, the other to one side. Next is a double port card reader for SD and TF cards, then a 100W USB-C PD pass-through charging port.
USB connectivity is good. There are two USB A 3.0 ports and a USB 3.0 USB-C port, all with a theoretical data transfer speed of 5Gbps.
Being backwards compatible, they will also happily work with USB 2.0 standard, so devices like a Mouse and Keyboard.
This hub lacks an RJ45 Ethernet port, which many hubs provide, which may matter to you.
These eight ports will extend the connectivity of a device that lacks them and are of a good basic standard.
In conclusion, this functional USB C hub offers some frequently used connections and two display ports at 4k@60Hz and is currently keenly priced.
This particular dock has a few features that the cheaper models simply lack.
It’s compatible with both PC and Mac, supports 2x 4K HDMI output at 60Hz. That part is important as cheaper models tend to be at 30Hz and it’s a very noticeable difference.
This model also supports 100W PD so you can both use the dock and charge at the same time. Very handy if you only have the one port or use the other ports for other things.
I can confirm the dock works fine on PC. 60Hz and 4K. I only have a 65W laptop but 100W isn’t hard to achieve and it works just fine.
The dock has a nice weight to it and feels premium. I’m very happy with this.
