Got for my son for Xmas and he loves it, it’s good how you can rebuild to a different track when they get bored, easy to assemble, lots of fun to be had.
A gift for my grandsons 2nd Christmas 2020 age 16 months. Still one of his favourite toys he plays with daily. great quality very well designed sturdy toy for hours of fun.
This item was brilliant value for money, it was easy to asemble and sturdy when up. Especially for the younger children, its easy to wipe down and I really appreciated the fact that it simple to use
This is very sturdy and has taken all the knocks and bangs it would from a 3 year old and then more! It’s still standing strong with no damages or cracks. Love the fact you can change it up to make it taller too.
Only wish you got more then one car with it but still worth the money.
– It came with one smart car which goes down the ramp by gravity! I think if you want you can buy more cars separately!
– You can build it as a fun dual ramp or a tall twisting tower! And then release the cars by pressing the cup on top and See the car racing down the ramps passing some obstacles!
– The really fun and smart thing about this toy is that it has five smart location where you put or pass the cars from and the car start to talk or sing differently! Which is really fun for my child!
-It’s a high quality toy like most of the VTech company toys and I highly recommend it!
I think this toy just had one negative point:
Negative point:
The instruction is terrible! First of all it’s in black and white and second really confusing! At the end I got really frustrated and started to build it up from the colorful photo on the box! and yaaay! It was fast!
I got this for my nephew who is just 2 years old and he loves this because he is fascinated with cars. He loves playing with this and putting the cars at the top to watch them run down the tower. He can’t wait to put them to the top again. It is so much fun watching him play with this and he can spend few hours easily playing with this.
I think he would like some more cars as you can never have enough. Good thing is that you can buy more cars from the toot toot range from VTech but I have found that the prices for individual cars are a bit high.
In terms of build quality, I found that this v tech toot toot drivers spiral tower is a great addition to their range. I have used their products with my kids and they have always lived up to the quality standards and this one is no different. It is made from really sturdy plastic with a very good finish to avoid hurting the child.
Setup process is quite straight forward although it needs an adult to do it. Kids at that age will probably just want to play with it once it is set up. It can be set up in 2 different ways. The top of the tower holds two cars which can be released by pressing down on the trophy at the top of the model to which the cars spiral all the way down to the bottom and leave via two ways. The piece to switch/flip the car in a certain direction isn’t really that great when a more simple barrier could have been used but overall, it seems like a really welll made toy which is loads of fun for kids. 4 stars
Bought this for my son’s Christmas but from looking at it , it’s a good set and great quality. You can put the track in many different ways to change it up.
Bought for my 3 year olds b’day and he loves it. Even his 7 year old sister likes it and it’s one of the few toys they play with together. Highly recommended. We have the toot toot garage as well, but twist and race is definitely the winner!
I also like the fact my 3 year olds sharing and turn taking skills have improved as a result of this toy.
My daughter was obsessed with the toot toot garage we got her last year so I was excited to get this to add on to it to give it a new lease of life.
First impressions were great, it’s in a big box and the green racer car is on show so you can press it’s buttons before opening the box – great to keep the little ones occupied while you get the rest of the box out and assembled!
The race car has two buttons you can press unlike most of our other toot toot cars that just have the one button. On the race car included you can press it’s “face” (window screen) which lights up and talks/ sings/ makes car noises and you can also press the side button which moves it’s spoiler and also makes noise. It also has a switch on the button to turn off the sound but annoyingly as with the other toot toot cars we own it’s missing my favourite button (volume) which they could really do with, especially when you forgot to turn them off and they randomly go off when it’s nap time!
The track itself is brilliant and in my opinion more fun than the garage for the younger ones who aren’t quite ready for imaginary play as they can just watch the car race down the spiral tower. If they get bored of that it’s really easy to swap it to the shorter twin layout where you can make two cars race, although only one race car is included – the others are sold separately or you can use the other toot toot cars which are compatible with this. We have the car, police car, ambulance and the tiger and all worked well on this track.
This version also has 5 smart point locations which basically means when the car goes over that part of the track it will trigger the car to make noise. It says on the box this one includes 40+ songs, melodies, sounds and phrases including the toot toot drivers classic one which now slightly grates on me having heard it so much – where’s that volume button vtech..
The negatives for me are that I think they should have really included two race cars (hard to have a race with 1 car!) so you have to buy that separately if you don’t already have toot toot cars. Also I can’t find a way to connect this track onto the garage track, it includes an adapter piece but it has a cut out hole the same as the garage does so I’d need to buy a piece of track to connect the two which i wasn’t expecting.
Overall though I think this is great and would be a real wow present for any car loving little one!
