Brilliant little speaker box, works well, pairs well, sound quality is decent (very good for the price and type of device). The battery lasts for ages. Its loud enough to use in most cars and other environments.
I have paired 2 of these, for their price they are great, 30w obviously only delivers so much, but they maximise every watt of that. Sturdy construction, great for my front room and for garden BBQ’S etc. Good battery life. I usually run them thru my pc on youtube tracks, next job is to figure out how to run a sub alongside them for more depth.
2 EQ settings for bass heavy dark sound or a light more acoustic mid to high range depending on the music and location.
All-in-all I am satisfied for what it cost. I imagine I will get years of use from it.
I was looking for a speaker for an outside hobby. I looked at several speakers before making a decision and almost purchased a different speaker. After reading some of the feedback I thought I would give this one a go. It is very sturdy and it paired to my phone in seconds. Being in the older generation I dont do tricky or fiddley so I was impressed with the setup on this speaker. The bass is extremely good as with the mid range and trebble. Verry impressed so far. I will probably get another one soon to make it a pair.

With having 2 units now I also tried the stereo pairing ability. This is extremely easy to use, taking just a couple of seconds. Once done, they will automatically pair in future if both switched on. You can unpaired them too. It’s a very handy feature although I’m not fully convinced it is true stereo. With music, the sound was very much biased towards the main unit. Watching YouTube videos on my phone it was great to have a wider sound stage. Both speakers sounded equal though I didn’t hear any stereo effect for example when audience were applauding. However these are minor things and unlikely to be the main reason for purchase. When paired, each speaker’s volume control remains independent. One very cool feature is that, when paired you only have to turn 1 speaker off and they both shut down

I bought this after reading all the reviews and then it came up on an Amazon Day deal so I took the plunge.
Arrived in a box with a manual. Quite a heavy little unit, gives confidence in build quality. I charged it up and then gave it a go. Pairing with my phone didnt happen straight away, it wouldnt show in available devices. I had to switch bluetooth off and on again and then it appeared and connected straight away. Playing a couple of youtube videos at low volume, it gives a nice warm full sound, though a little bass heavy. Same with music. Unfortunately although this is a fairly powerful little unit, as soon as you get past about 60% volume it struggles with distortion and becomes quite unpleasant to listen to. At lower volumes it is very pleasant
That kind of suits me as this was bought to listen to music in the awning of my caravan, so volume isnt that important but seeing some of the comments on here about having a garden party – well just no!
It does have a major design flaw. If you connect a USB device or insert a microSD card then the unit switches automatically to that input and cannot be changed. You can’t connect via Bluetooth without physically removing the device. If you’ve ever tried handling microSD cards without dropping or losing them you’ll know how crazy this is. The device needs an input selection switch. Speaking of microSD – I bought a standard 64Gb Integral Pro card. Copied the music over and the device refused to play it. Put it back in the computer and the contents had been corrupted. Tried again with NTFS and the same thing. Tried a 3rd time with FAT32 and it worked. Not very impressed that it corrupts data
Overall its a solid 3 star. Nice sound at low volumes, poor design for input options, distorts at higher volumes
Bought this as a replacement for another that my husband had that broke. Much better quality with this item than the other brand he had. Very easy to use and the battery life is a lot better. Quite a big speaker but great quality.
Whatever you consider buying for a speaker like this, all I can say you wont be disappointed, this is a 40w speaker good enough for me but there’s the next step up to 50w and if your young you’ll enjoy the power.
Had a Neocore before but only lasted a year. Honestly the sound is magnificent, I absolutely love it. If it packed up tomorrow I would buy another. go grab one while you can……

As shown in the video there is 3 modes on the equaliser however this is not the case it would be better if it was louder andhad a bit more bass other than that it is a good quality speake
A feature I love about this speaker is you can sync them up to other wking speakers, which is great because whenever I have a party I put my sisters speaker in the other room so the playlist is heard from all around the house and the music is in sync.
I have one, my sister has one, I just got my friend one for her birthday, 2 of my other friends bought one, both sets of uncles and aunts have one. It’s 100x louder than my apple HomePod
Easy to pair and great sound in the garage and garden on outside mode. Using it for listening to Audio books as well and the narrators voice is clear . Much better than my old speake
The overriding requirements due to his old phone and his lack of ability to use one over and above text and calls were simple. To have a decent sound quality, to be well made, and to be able to play music from a Micro SD card, and from nothing else.
Additional requirements for me; to make it foolproof for him were as follows: It had to automatically play from the said Micro SD card when not even setting up a bluetooth link (or any other link), once turned on – and it had to remember what track it was playing instead of restarting from the first track, when turned off and on again, and finally to play them in order.
It does all these things bar the last one, so it’s been returned.
I wear hearing aids, and this sounds very good to me, particularly on the setting with more bass (which I think is the one my brother will use in empty houses). As my hearing is all bass anyway, and the hearing aids enhance all the treble sounds for me, the setting without the bass boost is too hard on my ears. (I tried to show the difference in the video). But for those who are interested, it can go extremely loud without a lot of distortion.
It is heavy, like a brick, extremely well made. I liked it. My brother would have too, but not the default random play of the thing.
It is as advertised, and as stated by other reviews the bass is not as intrusive as it is normally on these things, this is a very good thing as not everyone wants a silly banging bass spoiling their music, the EQ button is very handy and it works great, it is just what I have been searching for, for ages.

Worth the price
I needed a good quality speaker to take away on holiday, but I didn’t wanna spend too much money. My friend told me about this speaker and it did not disappoint. I love the size and how easily it fitted in my carry on bag. Great battery life and also a good bass. Would recommend !
If you can get over the ridiculous brand name, this little boom box really IS the best money can buy! (I mean ‘W-KING’ just makes you think of male masturbation doesn’t it?)
Jokes aside, here’s what you need to know:
Build Quality: Excellent! Solid outer casing. Nice rounded edges. Better than what you’d expect considering it’s stupid Chinesey branding. Dropped mine a couple of times over the years and no problems at all – barely a scratch on the exterior.
Sound Quality: Superb! Deep, well-rounded bass, strong mids and quality trebles. Not at all tinny or cheap sounding. Performs well outdoors and indoors. – Select different sound equaliser settings to suit your environs.
Battery Life: Great! – Easily handles a good days worth of medium to loud play from full charge. – No signs of battery failing after daily use for the last 3 years.
Waterproofing: Not entirely. – I did an exterior patio pressure washing job with the speaker box on a table nearby. It got pretty wet in the spray/mist but not entirely soaked. Both the power and bluetooth led indicators stopped working. A month later the red power light started working again and 3 months after that, the bluetooth light started working, too. Wasn’t a real problem, though, since the unit still makes ‘Power On/Off’ and ‘Bluetooth Connected/Disconnected’ sounds. (I must note though, my one was the 1st model – This one listed is an updated model which has its led lights incorporated in the button pads so it’s probably more waterproof than mine.)
I compared my unit against a friend’s JBL of similar size – I can’t recall what output wattage his JBL was, but this little boom box was clearly superior sounding with much stronger mid-range and more emphatic bass. He paid three times as much for his than I paid for mine.
I am well chuffed with this purchase… – Absolutely OUTSTANDING value and performance! Well, WELL worth the money!
I will DEFINITELY buy another one IF I ever have to… (- But I’ll probably spray paint the speaker grill to cover it’s stupid brand name.)
Sound: The sound as i say is great, it can go very loud, louder than i can see anyone needing, which is good. When i first started using the speaker, i found the bass to be TOO bass heavy, something i didn’t think i would hear myself saying as someone who appreciates bass, but the bass drows out the rest of thew sounds, sort of dull them as the bass dominates eveything else. I say ‘When i first started using the speaker’ because upon reading the instructions, i found you can change the sound mode between two modes by pressing the play/pause button twice quickly, and i found when i did this and switched to the other sound mode, the bass tones down a bit doesn’t dominate the rest of the sounds and the rest of the sounds becoming less subdued, it was so much more balanced, which i found so much better, and very good in fact, though the unfortunate thing, is that this is not the primary setting for the sound when you turn on the speaker, and when you turn on the speaker, it always reverts to ‘deep bass/subdued other sounds’ mode, so i have to effectively change sound mode EVERY time i turn the speaker on, which is a shame, and slightly annoying, and i don’t know why it wasn’t designed to remember which sound mode you used last/preference, it’s only a double press to change it, but still, the other, more balanced sound mode, should definately had been the primary mode when you turn on the speaker, the one which i can see as your average person would want to use, and the basey sound mose as a secondary ‘bass boost’ mode. You can so much clearly hear the song in the secomndary mode, the difference is night and day, and really should have been the primary mode as i say.
My second slight gripe, is if you are listining to songs from an inserted SD card, the songs play in alpabetical order rather than being shuffled, though at least it does resume where you left off when you next turn the speaker on, so while not ideal, at least it doesn’t start from scratch every time you turn the speaker on, but i don’t understand why these speaker makers don’t program their speakers to simply shuffle music when played from an SD card, for a bit of spontinaiety.
My last, if minor gripe, is that you can’t remove the strap as far as i can tell, short of cutting the straps. It’s a snice strap, don’t get me wrong, but having the option to remove it or put it on without destroying it would have been very welcomed, and as much as i want to take the strap off, it seems a shame to destroy suuch a nice strap to do it, and if i end up not liking how it looks without the strap, there would be no going back having cut the strap, so i’ve kept it on sumwhat grudingly.
Minor gripes aside about having to change sound modes, no shuffle play for SD card and non removal strap (hence the almost but not perfect score) it’s still a great speaker with great sound, and is one i would recomend, though i hope W-King take into account the gripes i have pointed out here for future models.
