Why I can’t erase the fault code?

XTOOL AD20 can only read and clear engine/obd2 codes, before clear the codes, please make sure you have already repaired the car; if the codes still cannot be cleared after repairing, please send us your S/N via xtoolonlineeu @ outl00k . com

Can it work on my cars?

XTOOL advance ad20 obd2 code reader covers all OBD2 protocols and OBD diagnostic services. Therefore, it will work with almost all OBD2 cars with a 16-pin data link connector.

Will it diagnose all systems including ABS, SRS, Transmission, TPMS?

No, AD20 only works for Engine and OBD2 diagnosis, it’s not a full system obd2 scanner, no resets.

Can I use a third party APP?

AD20 has its own APP “advancer AD20”, it’s not compatible with a third party APP.

What do I need to Pay Attention?

Note 1: AD20 is only for emission and engine diagnosis, it supports for 12V vehicles after 1996 with obd2, not for motorcycle.

Note 2: Unplug AD20 from vehicle obd2 port if no need to use it.

Note 3: Check step 1-3 of using AD20 carefully.

    OBD 2 LIFE
For a small device it is very responsive to the phone and very quick and easy to navigate on the app the machine it self feel very nice to hold and the fact that you can put it in ur pocket for quick access is very handy. the app for the phone is very user friendly and it has a very cool feature on it that allows you to turn your phone in to your dashboard it can also track how quickly you can go from 0-60 MPH. It is able to do a full system scan on my partners Audi A4.

    Handy OBD reade
This is my second xtool OBD reader which does most of the jobs as the expensive OBD reader . Nice and compact, live data , can check the Battery health ( SOC ) of the car , life long software updates which is great , SMOG test which is helpful for MOT clearance , in-depth analysis .

It’s a great device at the price . Highly recommended for car enthusiasts.

Surprised how feature rich it is, for 5% of the price of a Garage version.
As others have said, the support from the Xtool team is stunning.

To do the most comprehensive diagnostics, you have to enter your car VIN (if you have an old car that doesn’t provide it automatically). In my case, when I entered the (correct) VIN the tool couldn’t recognise it, and therefore I couldn’t run the full diagnostics, but within about 2 days Mary and David at Xtool, had worked with the software engineers to apply a fix to the app – and now everything works superbly on every car I have tried it on so far.

Top marks to the Xtool support team – and if I was their Boss, I would give them a really good pay rise (just saying).

    Fantastic unit for a DIYe
Very good unit for a DIYer, easy to use, and set up the app on the phone. lots of live data on it for monitoring. I have the Xtool D8 that I use in my garage daily but will leave this one in my car for quick diag needs when on the road. I would recommend it for the price.

    Xtool scanne
Really good scanner and user friendly for the home/professional mechanic. I’ve used it so far on Skoda, Vauxhall and Toyota in the family.
The customer support is second to none ! I really cannot believe how quick XTool will respond to any questions. Highly recommend this company.

    Best pocket obd reade
    This device is surprisingly good.
I have used before small bluetooth scanners like elm, torque etc and at first this is something like that. But go into depth scanning and the app downloads a specific file for your car and you can see your faults!
I needed an expensive delphi scanner to tell me which glow plug was faulty but not anymore!
I think every driver should have this little piece of tech in his glove box or just leave it plugged in like I did!

Very Good wireless OBD2 Scanner! Get one !
Wow For the low price this diagnostic scanner can not be beaten Iv tried a few different brands but XTOOL thought of everything with this one and it’s not just a fault code scanner.. (see my photos and video attached for a snippet of what it can do plus a lot more)
it gives you live data for you vehicle and if you leave it plugged in over time it collects trip data and let’s you know if any problems are logged plus the added bonus of the different smart dashboards (also hud mode) so you can have all the rev dials/ speedo and other info all in front of you via the app. The App is really good and the in depth scanner (not shown in video) goes through showing you an animation of each module and part it’s checking really good and can not go wrong for the money

Compact, fit in your pocket OBD2 Dongle.
This OBD2 dongle is compact. Fits in your pocket or in your glove box. It’s so small, it will fit in the palm of your hand. Don’t be put off by its size. As they say “size doesn’t matter,” and this is very true with this OBD2 dongle. It is small, but feature packed.

I purchased this for my friend as he only wanted a OBD2 dongle to use on his own car. He had been having problems with his car and it would cost him 40 just for the garage to read the DTC fault codes. We purchased this OBD2 dongle instead. We found the fault codes, three fault codes in total. After investigating, we found it was one faulty component that was causing the three DTC fault codes. We replaced the component, reset the DTC codes, and now the fault codes have gone, and the displayed dashboard fault lights have gone.

If you buy an OBD2 dongle, you will save a fortune on the final repair cost and the cost for scanning your car at a garage.
With the dongle you can get the fault code, look up the fault code, then price up the part that you need. You can then fit the part or tell the garage which part is faulty and let them fit it. This will save you a fortune in investigations, scanning, repairs.

If you want a feature packed OBD2 dongle that does not cost a fortune, but still full of features, then this is a good OBD2 dongle.

Another good feature of this dongle is the ‘live data’ feature. This will demonstrate battery status, voltage, engine RPM, engine load, fuel trims, etc.

Also you have the ‘trip recorder’ feature. This will record average speed, fuel consumption, mileage, maximum engine RPM, maximum coolants temperature, and this will be shown on the APP.

It also has ‘driving habits monitor’ with G-sensors inside the OBD2 dongle. This will monitor sharp turns, emergency/excess braking, sudden acceleration and will be recorded on the APP/OBD2 dongle. This can help with new drivers skills improvement. This is similar to what the black box does on the insurance fitted devices.

If you want a small, compact, portable OBD2 dongle then I can recommend this one.

Best entry level USB OBD2 diagnostic tool on the marke
There are lots of bluetooth OBD2 scanners on the market and I’ve tried lots. The main thing that stands out about the XTOOL AD20 is the app that works alongside the scanner. Really easy to use and navigate and when it does find a fault it gives lots of information on the cause to help diagnostics. XTOOL offer lots of products, of which this is one of the cheaper ones so naturally doesn’t do things that the more expensive ones do. But for the price this is an easy win!

Great supporting app (clear & easy to use)
    Good customer support
    Nice construction and build
    Great value
