Upon spreading it out, the first thing I noticed was its impressive insulation from the ground. The cold, uneven terrain underneath was barely perceptible, providing a warm and cosy platform for our outdoor feast. This was a significant win as nobody enjoyed the chilly intrusion of the ground while indulging in a serene picnic.

As the day unfolded, so did the inevitable accidents — wine drops, crumbles, and a bit of grease joined our picnic. However, cleaning up these little mishaps was surprisingly easy. A simple wipe and it was as good as new, leaving more time for laughter and less for fretting over stains. The machine washable feature is a definite bonus, ensuring a fresh start for each outing.

The handle design deserves a mention. Folding and carrying the blanket was a breeze, with the handle proving to be quite handy. However, I couldn’t help but notice the weight. While it was manageable, trekking around with it did feel like a mini workout, especially on longer walks.
Despite the slight heaviness, the blanket’s portability and foldable nature made it a convenient companion for our outings. Whether it was a spontaneous beach day or a planned hiking trip, the waterproof bottom ensured that dampness and moisture were kept at bay, making our experiences more enjoyable.

Reflecting on the day, this picnic blanket, with its combination of comfort and practicality, made our outdoor adventures much more pleasant. It’s a piece that, despite its weight, brings convenience and a touch of luxury to the simple joy of a picnic.

This is a 2×2 metre squared picnic blanket which is highly versatile and can be used for a variety of purposes, it folds up into a bag size and shape so it’s easy to carry.
The blue design is very nice, the material makes it easy to clean.
Sand wipes off easy enough too if you use it on a beach.
    Happy to recommend.

In the last three days we have been out twice and we have used this blanket each time. We did have another much thicker blanket that is silver lined but we decided to give this a try instead and wow I am so glad we did.

The other blanket though thicker and lined is not as good as this one because this blanket does not gather bits.

THe blanket has an easy to wipe down top but it is not a plastic like feel and thats everything to me. So the bottom line is this, the blanket is lightweight and it does not gather bits.

I love it, its going to come with me bikepacking next time I go for sure.

Priced at 16.99 for this large picnic blanket is not badly priced as it’s a good quality blanket and waterproof too this comes nicely packaged, all folded up with a handle which you can carry to the park/on a outing. I like the yellow design – nice and summery . The blanket is also good quality and not flimsy like others I have used in the past. Overall would recommend.

In many ways, this is ideal for a picnic; it’s both large and distinctly waterproof. And it packs down to a surprisingly small package, thanks to how thin it is.

However, by the same token, this isn’t really a blanket; it’s more akin to a tarpaulin with a nice pattern printed on it. Which isn’t a bad thing – it’s light and easily wipe-clean – but it does mean that it’s not as nice to sit on as a traditional picnic blanket – and I doubt anyone would enjoy trying to use it as a makeshift coat!

Still, it does what it does very well, and offers a lot of room to set up a proper afternoon tea!

This is a very large picnic sheet, at around 6 foot x 6 foot, with a good waterproofing/spill proofing material to avoid any mishaps, and a good carry handle attached.

The material isn’t really what I would call material, and when you sit on it you feel like you are sitting on a tablecloth rather than a blanket and feels cold when you first sit on it. I believe this is down to the waterproofing, so is not a bad thing.

The waterproofing is great however and taking this out with you really helps keep you dry. We were over at the beach last week and this was perfect for us and the grandchildren who were in and out of the sea. When we were ready to go, a quick shake and a wipe and that was all that was needed before folding away. The only thing I struggled with was the folding away, and am sure it doesn’t matter how you fold it, as long as the Velcro sections line up, so maybe practice that a bit before going out with it.

Overall, a handy, good functioning picnic sheet, that is a good size and helps keep you dry when sitting.

Aw this picnic blanket is absolutely adorable.
    I love it so much.
It packs away so neatly, stores nicely and folds out beautifully.
It’s a great quality blanket that’s made ever so well, no loose threads, great colours, wipes clean lovely.
And is oh so comfortable to sit and lounge on, display our picnic on.
Brilliant for camping, trips out, picnics, beach days, highly recommend!

This is more like a picnic sheet rather than a blanket, it’s not the most comfortable so I guess the rating depends entirely on what you intend to use it for.

As a waterproof sheet to sit down on, it’s great but not cosy.

    Price is great howeve

This large picnic blanket is 2 metres by 2 metres, making it very suitable for a family picnic. I found the cloth surface attractive in a plaid pattern, and it secures fairly easily with a flap and carry handle. The flap Velcros down, and the pack has some handy instructions on how to properly fold the blanket ready for travel. This is a thoughtful touch.

The bottom surface is PVC, which is waterproof and durable. This keeps mud and debris from dirtying the top surface and reduces the need to clean it as often. This feature does not make it easier to clean the blanket, however.

It is quite a weighty blanket, so it is not as portable as others that I have. I have compared the features and quality of this blanket to others that I have accumulated over the years, and for the price, it is about right. For perfection, you would certainly pay double the price.

I think that the PVC coating is particularly useful on grass or a sandy beach, where condensation is trapped and cannot penetrate. It does mean that you need to give it a wipe-down before you put it away; otherwise, it will not maintain its condition. With some care, it should last a long time, and you should get some good use out of i

This picnic blanket is a lovely size, comfortable enough to sit on but I wouldn’t describe it as being overly soft – I have other picnic blankets that are slightly padded, and this one isn’t, but the fact that you have a water resistant back on it is definitely a bonus as a lot of the time the damp grass is the reason I want to use a picnic blanket instead of sitting straight on the ground!

I like that it’s machine washable, and that it folds away neatly. It fits 2 adults and 2 children with their picnic on it easily.

This picnic blanket has transformed my out door dining experience.
At 2m x 2m it’s spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 dogs and it’s soft yet durable design allows for comfort even when sitting for a long period of time.

It’s easy to fold away making it compact and with the added handle it is easily portable, perfect for if you haven’t got enough space in your back pack.

The back is water resistant meaning you don’t get any unwanted leaks coming through from underneath.

Cleaning it is a breeze, just wipe clean or chuck in in the wash using the instructions provided.

A must have for picnic or camping enthusiasts. 5

I hope you find my review helpful.

I really liked that this blanket folds up and can be carried with an integral handle. I would call the material plastic or PVC which works for me because not only can it be wiped clean but if placed on a damp or wet surface it won’t matter to the people sitting on it who will stay dry. Probably its greatest strength though is that there is a printed instruction on the packet that shows the correct way to fold it so that the carrying handle can be used and everything stays folded together by matching up the respective Velcro strips. However, I would have liked that printed on the carrying flap itself so take a photo of that folding diagram before it gets lost.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to wipe clean and carry with its own handle

Well, I haven’t quite made my mind up on this picnic cloth. There’s good and bad here and I think the way you feel about it will be decided on what you’re using it for. Here’s the good and bad in my opinion of the cloth.
Firstly, the positive points. It’s a large sheet and is relatively sturdy. It’d made from a PVC weave, which makes it spill resistant and easy to clean – the same stuff as outdoor tablecloths are made from. Great if you have kids or pets – or both – as spills and the like can be dealt with happily with wet wipes, or a spray of whatever, or you could hang it on the line and hose the whole thing down after use. It packs up into a small space and takes up hardly any room in the boot. It has a carry handle for easy transport.
Now on to the negatives – some of which may not matter to you at all. You may have noticed that I’ve not called this a “blanket” on purpose. It isn’t a picnic blanket, in as far as it isn’t a cosy experience or a blanket in the traditional sense. It’s cold to the touch and offers no padding or insulation against the ground. It’s also a little clingy on hot days, due to the plastic material. If you were thinking “Oxford cloth” as being a cosy cotton shirt material, it isn’t that at all. It’s coated PVC cloth. It’s quite heavy, due to the coated material. Still perfectly manageable, but will add weight to your pack horses (the kids)!
It’s a bit of a faff to fold away. Not an absolute pain in the armpit, but not delightfull!
The price is pretty good though, so it all depends what you need out of a picnic sheet.
