Does its job
Got this as a backup unit for the wife’s car. I’ve used it to charge my laptop from the battery just to test it works and everything is good. I’m not going to use this everyday but useful to keep in the car for emergencies and potential camping trips.
Good value for money
Looks smart, doesn’t take that much space, hopefully it will last.
The only nit-pick I can find it says in the manual that the fan kicks in when temperature reaches 50 degrees, but it actually turns on as soon as you switch it on. Not a massive issue, but it would be nicer if it worked silently with light loads.
It’s nice however that the box contains two spare fuses in case these were needed.
A Useful Device
The StemRock 1500W power inverter is handy for road trips and also for long-haul drivers. In short, it converts a vehicle battery’s 12V DC power to 240V AC power and can accept 2 regular 3-pin plugs plus 4 USB-A connectors and 2 cigarette-lighter sockets. The power inverter should be used while your vehicle engine is running, otherwise the vehicle’s battery power will become depleted.
The build quality of the power inverter is robust. I like its old-school appearance. It looks and feels like something made to last. There are two possible methods of delivering power to the device. It can be connected to a vehicle’s lighter socket in order to power devices with a total demand of up to 150 W. For devices that require more power than that, it’s necessary to connect the inverter directly to a vehicle’s battery using the clamps provided, which are just like jump-lead clamps. The inverter shouldn’t be used with inductive loads, which are those which convert current into a magnetic field. Essentially, any devices that include coils are inductive. Such devices include fans, speakers, pumps, electric drills, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, microwave ovens, traditional ovens, vacuum cleaners and washing machines. If you’re not sure whether the devices you plan to plug into the power inverter are inductive or not, it’s best to check first rather than risking damage. The power inverter does have a smart chip and multiple built-in protections, but it’s still best to err on the side of caution when it comes to plugging appliances into it – best to check first if you’re in any doubt.
No criticisms. Quality kit.
Works fine in the works va
Top dog
Value for money clean smart Ideal for the hard winter get the solar pack with it and you will save money IV got 1 on my camper so far but getting another set for the house carnt beat a bargai
Good for small jobs
So I have a small battery setup and am using this to power a few small items, I have noticed that with items closer to the 500w mark they will not power up, it may be due to an initial power draw that this cannot handle.
I have kept my power draw under 350w and it quite happy.
This is a modified sine inverter, so some things will either not work with this and in some cases break because of this, so do check before you plug you stuff in. Electrical motors can be very fussy.
At idle this draws about 2A
This is stated it will peak at 1500w and sustain at 650w, but I have not had much luck with anything close the to 600w mark running at all. However I was not surprised since this unit is very small and I fully expected it to run a little lighter than stated.
This comes with USB-A ports, UK plugs ports and 12v car plug ports, so you have options. It also has an on/ff switch, voltage reading for in DC ( battery) and out AC (mains)
I have used all three plug point types and they seem to work well when the voltage is not to much.
It is not very loud, and while the fan buzz is obvious once you move away it can barely be heard, close the door and you wont hear it at all.
Overall, I am OK with this, it is a small inverter, great for a small corner. You get a nice set of plug in options.
It is modified sine, so not good for all electrical items.
Great value
Great value for money strong build quality, power load balance is excellent, digital display is accurate, overall a great unit does exactly what you want for a fraction of the cos
Works well
Works very well, runs my projector lovely. However the fan is listed as silent, it definitely is not. But does the job, and you can keep an on the volts . Happy with my purchase
