This dongle replaced a previous dongle that was damaged. The great thing about this WiFi adapter is that it doesn’t need a driver to connect – Windows 11 detected it immediately and it was quick and easy to get it connected to the network. Speeds are great, and virtual meetings are no problem.
So, if you need a WiFi adapter to get yourself online this is a good one to buy. Yes, there are cheaper ones (and much more expensive) but sometimes the cheapest is not the best option.
This dongle integrated very well and I soon forgot that I was using it. I would definitely recommend this adapter and have given it full marks as there is really no problems with it and nothing that has raised concerns. Good buy.

My laptop is quite old and only has a 2.4ghz inbuilt WiFi connection so I thought I would try this. It works well and now my laptop can connect to the 5ghz connection and it’s quite a bit faster.

Love this little wifi dongle. I use this for my PC building business in setting up new systems and this picked up my wifi from my work shop no problem. It picked up my 5G connection as stated so really good buy

This is pretty straight forward item. Plug it in and play for super simple installation.

This will come in handy if your WiFi signal is low or struggles to stay connected, and/or you suffer from slower speeds. Note it won’t improve the speed of your router, but it should give you the best available speed from that signal. It will also give a marked improvement on signal strength, I’d your suffering with 1 or 2 bars for connection, expect this to add at keast one more to that!

This is mid price, you can def pick up similar items around half This price, however, the signal and speed of this is most likely why it costs a bit more, pay for quality.

My laptop has no Ethernet port (blame the restrictions of slim build laptops) and the walls in my flat are quite thick, so the Wi-Fi can be less than perfect when using my laptop in other rooms. This dongle was instantly recognised by my Windows 10 laptop and ready to use right away, it also comes with the classic mini CD for installing drivers if required. It has all the frequencies needed to get the best Wi-Fi I can in my fllat and even ran higher speeds in a broadband speed test than my laptops built in receiver. Very impressed with this dongle, cheap and does the job.

It is not even a proper CD, it is a mini CD with the driver on it. I am on an old computer which has actually a CD drive, but somehow it doesnt like this mini CDs. More modern computer have anyhow no CD.
So what is the point to add it at all? Just make sure the website works with a proper and easy to download driver. Well, if you have only one computer you are lost anyhow, no CD drive, and no download because no dongle to get a connection via wifi. Thankfully, most router have cable connections … My router does 5GHz, but my old PC has USB 2.0 only, so no speed to test anyhow.
A have a dongle with a long antenna, and that has the advantage that I can turn the antenna, and there is indeed a better reception in a certain position compared to such short adapters.
Then, after downloading the driver it works.
But why is there 1300 GB data transfer? 400 plus 867? I think it works only for 2.4 GHz or 5GHz, but not additive, only either. Forget theoretical top speeds, a solid no drop connetion is more worth.
The broken one I have is still on my desk, I can dump it now, got another spare dongle. As long as my long antenna works, this one is not in use. Can I remember then to which spec it is? No? 1 star gone.

I am using this dongle with a Windows 10 PC that I have. The built in adapter did not survive the upgrade to Windows 10 and so, since the upgrade, I have been using one of these types of adapters or a direct LAN link instead.

This adapter is faster than the old one was and is easy to install. I did use the supplied driver CD and that worked well to. So far, everything is working as expected. For me, I just want the adapter to be, to most purposes, invisible. I want to switch on and for it just to enable during the boot up sequences and simply do its job quietly and with no fuss. I can report that that is the case.

The speed I get is ultimately limited by the router and my maximum speed from the ISP. For me this is around 75megabits/second. That speed comes through onto the box and I have noticed that with this adapter, larger downloads are running about 5-10% quicker. All useful stuff.

This is a good adapter at a fair price and if that is what you need then it will serve you well.

So we have an annex out the back of the house, and at the moment I haven’t fitted any Ethernet ports to it, so we seldom are able to connect to our home Wi-Fi with our laptops/mobile devices, however, now we can.
So the annex is a nice place to get things done, but the lack of internet connection made it less usable than we’d like, so we are very happy, that after installing the software, then plugging this into a Laptop, it had a good, strong, and stable connection, which I’ll be honest I was dubious would work, but it has.
Not only is the connection throng, but we can even watch a show on the laptop, with a good solid picture, with no “drop” or “lagging”, which I was really not expecting.
The instructions that come with it are easy enough o understand, the addition of illustrations of what you’ll see in the process of installing and setting up are good, and helpful at times, and once installed I plugged this into a “USB 3”. Port, and it worked great.
I like the fact that this isn’t a massive thing protruding from the side of my laptop, it is just a small, easily used USB dongle.
All in all, this works very well, very happy with it.
