Very easy to setup and provides so many functions in the one single unit. Very impressed!
The “5 Inch Touchscreen Wireless NaviCam” from “Spedal” is an all-in-one Carplay, Dashcam, GPS and Radio for installing into your car.

Installing the NaviCam into your car is relatively simple. In our experience it works best with the included dashboard mount rather than using the suction cup to fix it to your windscreen. With the dashboard mount bracket, the mount (and therefore the NaviCam screen) is firmly affixed to the car dashboard, whereas with the windscreen mount (which we tried out first), it kind of hangs there and whilst driving can wobble around due to the motion of the car.

The NaviCam is powered via the12V cigarette lighter inlet in your car, therefore you need to bear this in mind when installing it, as there will be a power lead running from the NaviCam down to the 12V socket.

Connecting the NaviCam to your phone is an absolute doddle. This is just done via your phone settings and once connected I found everything pretty self-explanatory for how it all works.

The dashcam is a relatively standard and basic dashcam, but it’s effective and still works well. It also comes with a 64GB TF card included for saving the footage onto.

The radio functionality is excellent. The screen and general setup are incredibly easy to use, and the sound quality is spot on. Similarly, the GPS Navigation works seamlessly with Google Maps to provide you with excellent on-screen SatNav.

The overall quality, look and feel of the NaviCam is far beyond my expectations. The screen is smooth, polished and very receptive to touchscreen use. The picture quality is also far beyond what I expected.

For it’s ease of setup, the quality of the build and the screen display, and the flexibility with installation and the Apps on the device, I’m seriously struggling to find fault with it. I guess for older cars than ours there may be issues with the integration / sound quality through the speakers. However, for us we found this all to be easy and excellent. Recommended.

    Spedal Car play
I like the spedal car play wasn’t sure what to expect as it was my first car play. So far no concern and work how it supposed to be working

    Fantastic
    Pros
    Easy to setup
Sound perfect through car speaker system
    Stable
Don’t have to mount to window
    Looks good

    Cons
Power cable seems like it’s the wrong way up
Mounted on A1 just behind normal screen and may possibly become unstuck – if it does (and I will be out for a drive tomorrow). I will fix with a couple of self tapping small screws.

Will post more info in a couple of months with images.

    Works very well!
This came well presented in its own box so it would make a great gift for the right person.

This is a compatible car stereo with apple car play and android auto.
Theres a 7 inch screen thats Touchscreen, the touch works smoothly and is very easy to use.
The sound is good too as long as you have some decent speakers, great bass.

My husband told me as he was the one that installed it that all was relatively easy to set up, he really likes it and thinks its brilliant!

We are using android phone with it that works fine.

Its exactly as described in the description, no issues as of yet.
The quality and durability seem really good.

Its so much better than a basic car stereo, so much better all round and we are very happy with it.
    Can highly reccomend.

Very good device that transforms my old mx5 .if you have an old Mazda radio with a media button but no media inbuilt you can easily add an aux cable to rear of radio with a connection loom ( cost me 7.99 from Amazon ) .then connect this to your smart device and away you go , apple car play through your radio . Fabulous sound BUT I had to add an anti interference device to remove static ( 6 Amazon ) . All works grea

    Amazing!
Love, love, love this little gadget.
So easy to set up – plug in and pair with phone.
The lead is extra long, so plugged into the boot and ran the wire along the roof.
Only downside is the screen is hard to get on and off the holder.

Five minutes and I was up and running!!!
I should have said up and driving with Waze taking me to my destination and BBC Sounds through my car speakers. My only slight worry is that none of my dashboard surfaces are totally flat (2015 Astra) and will the adhesive pads accommodate this? I have a plan be though. So all in all, an excellent first impressio

    Works well with Apple CarPlay
I had originally brought the 7 inch version but while it worked well with Apple CarPlay, I felt for me the size was a bit big ( just my preference) and looked into returning it. I decided to try the 5 inch version as I assumed it would work the same way, which it does. After connecting to my phone, which is also connected to my car’s Bluetooth, I am able to use the screen to pick playlists without having to touch my phone, and play them through my car music system also the steering wheel controls still work as well. I can use any maps on my phone for navigation. Also phone calls and messages work as well, ( if it is safe to do so). If you are looking to make CarPlay or android auto ( I haven’t tried android auto) work on your car then this is a great system. I had at first looked at replacing the built in screen in my car with a new one but the cost and installation made this out of the question for me and there would no guarantee my steering wheel controls etc would still work.

    Great device but...
I had to return this because after a few days it came unstuck. I followed all the instructions again, and “re-stuck” it down but a few hours later it was unstuck again (the second time the screen was not attached, first time was sat in a carpark thankfully).

I was really disappointed because it’s a good one! It connected via bluetooth to my iPhone and my car, so I didn’t have to deal with any cables. I even had it plugged into my USB socket, since my Nextbase is plugged into my socket.
This is why I gave it 4 stars, as it’s still a good product, just the bracket wasn’t good enough. The telescopic part of the bracket is brilliant! There is another bracket in the box, but I don’t have anywhere to safely install the screen with that stand. I have a small car (Toyota Aygo) with limited windscreen space. Using the other stand blocks too much of my windscreen.

I’m now waiting for delivery of another spedal model that has the bracket that I need. As I said, the device itself is really good, but I need a proper suction bracket, not a sticky one.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUpgrade to the old Ka
We have an old run-around Ka that needed to be brought up to the current year but as we didn’t want to rip out the whole dashboard to retrofit another u it in we just went ahead and added this head unit which does the same thing at a much lower overall cost.

It’s simple to setup, you plug it in to the accessory charger in your car, then set up a connection between your phone and this device and that’s it, you now have access to all the extras a modern car could give you, including phone access, message notifications and of course music and maps, all displayed on the compact 7″ screen.

The fact that it’s so simple to setup and that there’s no adaptation needed in your vehicle should speak for itself, it’s an ideal solution.

Easy install, good quality product only been in a few days but so far it’s been fantastic,
Automatically syncs to the phone wirelessly and sounds great through the AUXILIARY cable
I would and I have recommended

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersSeems good - automatic night dimming etc. doesn't work on Android Auto
I’ve just collected this and installed it. It seems to work well. I have used cars with factory installed Android Auto before and it seems indistinguishable from that. I haven’t tried the Carplay functionality but I imagine it will be just as good.

I bought mine in July 2023 and it had the April 2023 firmware already installed – which at the moment is the latest version. This already allows for Bluetooth music playing via Android Auto – So you can probably ignore the note about needing to update the firmware to gain this functionality.

There are two minor things I would like to see changed: firstly it has a start up chime which I can’t seem to turn off. (Edit: you can reduce the volume of this by adjusting the built-in speaker volume). Secondly, it would be really nice to have automatic brightness based on a light sensor. But at this price I will forgive that. It has a menu setting for adjusting the brightness based on start and stop times but apparently this only works with Carplay or Android cast – At least according to the instruction manual and notes on the screen. Hopefully a firmware update will allow that to work also with Android Auto. Given that it knows the time (and location?) from your phone, it would be even better if it could just do sunrise and sunset based changes automatically. EDIT: Confirmed that the time-based auto dimming does not work with Android Auto. Also, the maps stay in day mode all the time – seems quite a common bug with these devices. It can be switched to night/dark mode manually through the settings icon in the Android Auto UI (or on the phone) but it still seems an unnecessary pain to have to do that. The device also does not honour the Android Auto developer option “phone controls night/day setting”. So you’re stuck with an overly bright map at night unless you switch it manually.

It seems bright enough for daytime on maximum brightness – it is a bright sunny day at the moment.

I have it fixed to the windscreen and it is resting on the dashtop. It may need some blue tack or something similar just to finalise that arrangement. This is reversible and doesn’t require me to use the sticky pad that has been supplied.

So far, so good. I will update as I gain more experience with it.

The device turns on and off with power so if you have a cigarette lighter socket or similar that is ignition switched then you don’t need to worry about the power switch on the device as it will simply start with the car. Having retrofitted Android Auto and Apple Carplay before, this looks like a really great solution, which doesn’t involve ripping apart the dash and actually looks quite nice.

EDIT: To get auto connect to work nicely, you need to leave the settings at “Default (set by car)” for Start Android Auto automatically.

EDIT: Occasionally the bluetooth media does not work correctly and audio comes out of phone speakers instead. This seems go be a timing issue – what device connects first. My car already has two separate bluetooth connections: one for handsfree phone and one for media audio – so maybe is a bit complicated.
