Started a new pill at 36 and my skin went haywire. Horrible deep cystic acne that I tried to treat with retinol but kept getting a new one every day. Nearly gave up. Was so depressed after having perfect skin for so much of my life, to now having huge red marks on my face.
I recalled being prescribed acnecide as a teen from the doctors (clearly no prescription needed now), so I thought I’d give it a go.
Within HOURS my skin looked drastically different. I’m now on day 2 and my skin is my skin again!!! I still have some scars that I need to work on, but I can’t get my head around how fast it worked.
I’m currently mixing it with my moisturiser in the evening as it’s quite harsh. But it works! My skin is flat again!!! I will admit that I also appplied a concentrated amount in a blob form to all of my raised areas on day 1. And reapplied maybe 3 times during that day.
This stuff WORKS!!!! So so pleased.
Been dealing with fungal acne for a good while now, possibly 6 months. I’ve tried several things, including medicare, clay masks, other spot treatments, letting my skin dry out to try amd heal itself, everything. I only received this a couple of days ago but already I can see a difference. I had a particularly stubborn cystic spot and it is helping with that also! It does dry out your skin so ensure that you only put on the specific areas needed.
Only time will tell if it continues to help but if it does I will definitely be buying this again.
Acnecide genuinely changed my life. About six months ago, at the grand old age of 25, I suddenly developed really bad acne on both of my cheeks. I’d never struggled with acne before, so it completely caught me off guard. I was desperate to get rid of it and ended up trying pretty much everything. Some products helped a little, some did absolutely nothing, and a few honestly just made things worse.
I decided to stick with Acnecide for four weeks. Around week two my skin actually got so much worse that I nearly gave up on it, just like I had with other treatments. I’m so glad I didn’t.
By the end of week four, my acne started clearing up properly. I don’t mean it was just less red or less inflamed. The spots were actually disappearing. I’m now six weeks in, and although I’ve reduced how often I use it, I still apply it regularly because it’s worked so well. Whatever was causing my acne, most likely bacteria trapped in clogged pores, seems to be completely under control now.
If you’re thinking of trying Acnecide, my biggest piece of advice is to be patient and stick with it. The purge was rough, but for me it was 100% worth it.
This Acnecide gel is an absolute game changer I have very mild acne and it works amazingly if you use with consistency. All I can say is the product was easy to apply, gentle on my skin, and after using it consistently, I noticed a significant improvement in my acne. My breakouts became less frequent, redness reduced, and my skin looked much clearer overall. It didn’t leave my skin feeling overly dry but it did a bit as this can be normal depending on skin type. My skin also feels way smoother and not as bumpy as it did before I got this product. I would definitely recommend Acnecide to anyone looking for an effective acne treatment that delivers noticeable results with regular use. Also depending on your severity of acne you may have to buy a few more of these. And a quick note for anyone who reads this review. I also used Cerave blemish control cleanser along side the acnecide gel. But if you do get Cerave blemish control cleanser to help your acne more please be cautious that it could dry your skin out quite a lot as it did mine. So be cautious and maybe consider a hydrating skin or moisturising liquid to keep skin from drying out. Besides all my opinions on this review. I’m a male in my late 20s and have suffered with what I believe is hormonal acne since my teenage years. I’ve spent years trying different face washes, salicylic acid products, spot treatments, tea tree products, scrubs, and various skincare routines. Some seemed to help temporarily, but my acne would always come back and I was constantly getting new pimples.
My skin is also very dry if I don’t moisturise, which made things even more difficult because many acne treatments would leave my face irritated, flaky, or feeling tight.

I also stopped using a razor for shaving and switched to a beard trimmer, which reduced irritation and shaving-related breakouts around my cheeks and under my lip.
After around a month, the improvement has been significant. I’m getting far fewer new pimples, existing spots heal more quickly, and my skin looks much calmer overall. For the first time in years I feel like I have a routine that is actually working consistently rather than just giving short-term results.
What surprised me most was that simplifying everything helped. I stopped using multiple acne products and active ingredients at the same time and just focused on a gentle cleanser, moisturiser, sunscreen, and this benzoyl peroxide treatment.
Obviously everyone’s skin is different, and hormonal acne can be stubborn, but if you’ve been struggling for years like I have, this product is definitely worth trying as part of a simple, consistent routine.
It’s not an overnight miracle, but after more than 15 years of acne, this is one of the few products that has made a noticeable difference for me.
First of all, it’s way smaller than I expected.
Also, This is actually a good product, and I noticed a difference in the size of my acne even after just one use. However, it is quite strong and can dry out the skin very quickly.
I also found that if I applied it to the same spot too often (two or three times), it caused irritation and a rash. That’s exactly what happened to me.
Overall, it works well, but I’d recommend using it carefully and not overapplying it, especially if you have sensitive skin.
I’ve literally been using this stuff for years and it’s the only thing that keeps my skin clear.
I only apply it once at night and that’s enough for me (my skin is v.prone to spots). I can’t live without this now, and it’s no difference to what the doc use to prescribe to me, apart from it’s cheaper and easier to get hold of!
Try it if you struggle with your skin, you wont regret it.
I got this twice-a-day cream and a matching wash product. And they’ve stopped spots coming back, and also the redness/agitation has chilled so much.
WARNING!! Please make sure to wash your areas (hands face etc) with something after use, BEFORE TOUCHING CLOTHES AND TOWELS, as this stuff really does BLEACH
But, honestly for the 3 destroyed towels, it was worth it for my face 🙂

At a time we were worried about the millennium bug, I also had a spotty chin. I’m sure I used to use something called Oxy10 which dried those spots out nicely. I’ve not had a similar issue since. Roll on 20 odd years and I got the biggest, stubbornous spot just above my top lip which actually hurt because it was so big. I thought I had sorted it with a timely pop, but the thing came back, bigger and more painful. I tried without success to find the product I used to use but to no avail. I was no longer able to seek advice from the mums of spotty children so after a Google, I ordered this, even though I read that it didn’t work for individual spots. Within a day (maybe three or four applications) my face was fixed. Yes, I was left with a dry patch for a couple of days after, but I’ll take dry over a spot entering a room before the rest of me. I will be handing the tube to the next person I know with a stubborn issue. Great product.
I would absolutely recommend trying this product.
Firstly, I would like to acknowledge that although I had a good experience with this product my sister did find this to be quite drying, and as a mixed race girly this was lightening her skin- so she did discontinue use. I’m not sure how much or how often she used this, if that would have been a factor.
I can’t remember what kind of spots Google told me I had- but they were small, clustered on my forehead, would squeeze the tiniest amount but leave me with red scabs or just come back as was before.
My advice would be to stop using all your skin care and start from scratch. Double cleanse before bed, moisturise and SPF. Add in other skin care along the way. I use this spot cream and occasionally Paula’s Choice Salicylic Acid. Before I was trying all sorts of stuff and chemical peels etc. But going back to basics is essential imo.
1st photo was 2 years ago just before I started using this product, came up in my memories and was quite shocked at the difference! Prompted me to write this review and hopefully help someone else. It didn’t take a whole 2 years for results, but it does take patience and dedication. Currently working on my hydration too.
My son has been uing this now over a week and can def see a difference. I wouldn’t say its clearing the spots but def taking the redness away, therefore looks like they are clearing. Hasn’t dried the skin out yet. My son can see a diff so I’m happy and going to keep using it to see if it just takes longer to clear them rather than just the redness
I got this for my legs. The tube is very small so would be interested in the 50g if I can find it. My legs gets a lot of lumps, sometimes with hairs in them so I’m guessing will take longer..but my face tho!! I applied a tiny bit to areas I get blackheads and I rubbed and loads..and I mean loads of dead skin was just coming away I literally just rubbed away all the blackheads out of my nose. Unfortunately it was dark, late at night when I did this and I was seriously not expected whats just happened so no before pic’s and for that reason, based on the fact you won’t see the difference, I see no reason for an after..now here’s where iv done something I’m not entirely sure I should have with it..I put a small amount under my eyes..I obviously won’t do this often but..I just literally rubbed away a massive portion of some sun spots I had there I genuinely cannot believe half of the sun spots are now gone!! It is red now in that area so just know I only used a very small amount there. Not even a pea sized amount. I watched it literally half rub away!! I’m so shocked! I’ll use it in a few days in that area again and if I can get a clear enough before pic..of whats left they were minimal to be honest but enough to create darkness under my eyes without makeup. If I can get what’s left off I honestly wouldn’t even wear make up unless I’m going on a night out. I don’t think I’d need any in the day. You seriously need to try this! I’m also shucketh how much dead skin came off, including my legs where I used a lot more! But unfortunately my legs are my problem area so I still feel some spots.
I’m using this in conjunction with a 3 function laser hair removal device you can also get from here. It’s 999900 light pulses and it also has an acne function for my legs and a skin rejuvenation which I’m using on my jaw line and forhead wrinkles. No results for those at this time
Its a very big shock to me this cream how well it worked!! Just goes to show that you don’t need to spend an absolute fortune sometimes 10/10 I’d give it just for the sun spots and dead skin removal which again was LOADS and a pain free way to remove all the blackheads from my nose. Will wait until the morning and use some elimis toner which you can also get from here.
