    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHo acquistato questa nuova versione di Akaso perch ci sono alcune funzioni migliorate e un sensore da 48Mp che va bene per le foto che devo fare.

    Inizio a dire che questa piccola fotocamera mi ha davvero stupito in quanto la sua consegna stata una vera e propria odissea, ma ne parler dopo di questa cosa, in modo che anche le altre persone che hanno acquistato beni di valore non incorrano nuovamente nella situazione in cui mi sono trovato per riavere questo oggetto.

    I pregi di questa macchina sono quelli che il prezzo consente, e per il prezzo pagato sono molto soddisfatto, produco video didattici e la mia risoluzione ideale 1080X60, quindi per il lavoro che devo fare questa macchina va pi che bene.
    Infatti tutti consigliano di comprare delle Go Pro, ma un’altra esperienza negativa mi ha fatto desistere dallo spendere una cifra per qualcosa che poi non avrei mai usato come ho usato invece negli anni le fotocamere Akaso.

    un comando utile il blocco dello schermo che impedisce configurazioni accidentali, per toglierlo basta scorrere il lucchetto verso l’alto.

    Configurate il salvaschermo, utile al mantenimento delle batterie, consiglio sempre di averne almeno altre due di scorta.

    Le impostazioni sono semplici e intuitive, e comprendono tutte le impostazioni per ogni scelta da parte dell’utente.

    La confezione dotata di molti tipi di attacchi, che sono davvero utili per ogni situazione di ripresa.

    Il test di durata delle batterie:

    Dopo avere caricato e scaricato per due volte le batterie originali inserite nella confezione, ho fatto il test di durata per capire come e per quanto tempo avrei potuto usare la fotocamera.

    Il test stato svolto con impostazione della fotocamera sempre accesa, salvaschermo a 15 secondi e risoluzione video 1080X60 con fattore di nitidezza a 6.

    Con questi parametri, la telecamera rimasta accesa per un’ora e 10 minuti, mentre nel frattempo ho registrato sette(7) video alla risoluzione di 1080X60 arrivando a 20 minuti di registrazione prima che la fotocamera segnali la batteria al 19% e richieda all’utente di spegnersi.

    Questo test, servito a comprendere bene quanto tempo ho a disposizione per produrre video mantenendo la fotocamera sempre accesa, infatti ho tolto subito l’auto-spegnimento perch devo avere sempre la fotocamera pronta all’uso.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++
    I difetti di questa nuova versione sono che lo sportello per la scheda SD e il cavo dati/alimentazione non si pu aprire come nella versione 7 anche con il supporto montato, necessario quindi estrarre la camera dal guscio di supporto e poi aprire lo sportello per collegare il cavo dati.
    Devo dire che questa procedura un pochino macchinosa, ma ho visto che lo sportello ha un’ altro profilo e che quindi forse non era possibile tagliare di pi il guscio di supporto.

    un ulteriore difetto che la fotocamera pu essere ricaricata con il cavo da un pacco batterie solo estraendola dal guscio e molte volte non possibile farlo come accadeva per la versione 7 in cui si apre lo sportello mentre la fotocamera montata e si ricarica la batteria al volo senza dover smontare tutto come per la versione 8 di Akaso.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Mi ritengo in ogni caso estremamente soddisfatto di questa nuova camera, anche perch la sua consegna ha subito diverse vicissitudini dovute alla negligenza del corriere che ha messo in consegna questo oggetto senza ricevere da parte mia il codice di sicurezza inviato da Amazon.
    La camera stata riportata al mio indirizzo da una persona onesta che ha trovato il pacco sul ciglio della strada a circa un chilometro dalla mia abitazione, lo ha raccolto e gentilmente restituito.

    In questo caso Amazon non risarcisce l’utente proprio perch il pacco risultava consegnato all’indirizzo specificato, il problema stato che io non ero presente alla consegna, per cui non ho potuto fornire il codice di sicurezza per ritirare la merce, ma in qualche modo il corriere ha potuto sorpassare la procedura del codice di sicurezza di Amazon, mettere il pacco come “consegnato all’indirizzo di riferimento” e poi la merce scomparsa, per fortuna esistono ancora delle persone oneste e grazie a questa persona, ho potuto riavere la fotocamera.

    In questa incredibile vicenda devo dire che anche se il pacco ha subito dei danni come vi mostro nelle foto, la camera non sembra averne risentito molto anche se stata schiacciata un po sopra l’obiettivo, l’involucro della Akaso ha protetto bene la fotocamera, mentre gli accessori anche quelli schiacciati, hanno resistito molto bene agli impatti subiti.

    Se vi capita che un corriere non rispetti la politica dei codici di sicurezza, avvertite subito il servizio clienti di Amazon, perch questa una grossa falla nel sistema di sicurezza delle consegne, infatti se un corriere pu mettere la merce come “gi consegnata”, Amazon non risarcir l’utente e di conseguenza come nel mio caso, la merce finir da altre parti.

    La violazione di questa procedura di sicurezza da parte dei corrieri, rende il sistema di consegna tramite codice e-mail fornito da Amazon una grave insicurezza per l’utente finale che poi perde fiducia negli acquisti e abbandona la piattaforma.

    Ringrazio il servizio clienti di Amazon per il supporto offerto e ringrazio Akaso per i materiali costruttivi usati sia per l’involucro esterno sia per la fotocamera ben costruita che ha superato tutti gli impatti dovuti a questo particolare caso di negligenza da parte del corriere durante la consegna finale.

    Pregi, Difetti, spedizione della merce per Akaso Brave 8

    – I video che vedete nel video sopra sono i migliori che io abbia visto su una cam;
    – Ottima la presenza del giroscopio per poter passare dai video in 16:9 (classici in orizzontale, ai video in 4:3 per video in verticale);
    – Led frontale di stato per indicare se state riprendendo o meno;
    – Microfono interno eccellente;

    Difetti:
    – La calibrazione della distorsione per effetto fish-eye si pu attivare solo con gli fps non al max;
    – 1080p meglio in formato pal;
    – Scalda tantissimo durante il dowload dei filmati e delle foto e si scarica molto velocemente sempre durante il dowload;

    AKASO have made a really decent camera with the Brave 8, they have resolved the audio issue’s the 7 had, the video qaulity is great, stills can be shot in 48M, the camera has a front screen, is water proof and is solidly built. As always the camera comes with a box full of accessories, it comes with 2 batteries, a dual battery charger and a remote control. I would definitely recommend the – BRAVE 8

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Users– Yes, it DOES work with this 64 GB card: ASIN B073JYVKNX –
    This might be not quality of GoPro Hero – both build- and price-wise – but for an amateur on holidays it’s more than you’ll ever need: use it with selfie-stick, attached to a head-band or harness or simply clip it on your clothes or backpack, everything from a bicycle to hood of a car to a glider’s wing, or as a dash cam or baby-cam etc. There is a plenty of accessories in the box and you can buy more and spare ones from 9 to 20 plus.

    There is a Wi-Fi built in which means that you can upload videos to another Wi-Fi enabled device but also that you can control the camera using your mobile phone! In fact, the first thing they suggest in the instruction is to download a phone app and connect

    What impressed me most are two functions I will use combined very soon: you can turn video frame by 180 degrees with few clicks of the button so you can take video with camera upside down (as if in normal position), and start filming upside down under water with camera attached to yellow Floating Handle Grip. Effectively you film yourself snorkelling from a distance. The yellow grip handle also makes floating camera visible from a distance too.

    According to manufacturer camera will accept memory card up to 32 GB, in reality – as reported by others – it DOES work with this 64 GB card. Search for ASIN B073JYVKNX, that’s what I use. It shows the capacity of over 8 hours of HD video when inserted.

    All GoPro Hero accessories seem to be compatible.

    The only reason for knocking a star is that there was no charger in the box. I return it and re-ordered and the same story happened. The is a pic of charger in the leaflet in the box but it is not listed in Amazon’s description. Amazon told me that’s how the manufacturer advertises product but I cannot believe they would include two batteries but charger.

    With that in mind, it’s truly great buy at 35!

    I scratched the lens on my previous VICTSING action camera and it was a shame because it was a great little camera and I used it loads. I have a GoPro Session but I don’t like to risk that on my aerial videos in case the plane does a fly away. So after quite a bit of research I got this AKASO as the reviews were very positive.
    Some reviews say battery life is poor but you get two batteries and the battery from my old action camera fits as well. I filmed for well over an hour with no issues and still some left.
    The video above was filmed with one of the adapters supplied at 1080p, fitted to my baseball cap and its great with the wifi app because you can adjust the camera to get the view you are after.
    I was flying my Radio Controlled VC10 jet and I forgot to take the datestamp off, the video is as is no editing.
    Next time out it will go on a plane for some aerial shots.
    The only thing I found a little confusing was the time lapse as I shoot a few of these videos.
    I set it for 5 secs and thought is was recording, it did but took one shot. Then I realised you need to set continous loop on. That did it.
    Is it as good as a GoPro, no but its good enough for my needs and better than expected. For the money you cant go wrong.
    You get loads of adapters and a a charger to put the batteries in which plugs in to most USB chargers.

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery pleased with this camera. It worked flawlessly throughout our holiday, it was mainly used by the kids in the swimming pools who found it easy to use once shown by an adult. The amount of extras supplied is truly amazing making it really versatile as an action camera across many different activities. Battery life was acceptable, about an hour for each battery and the unit even worked with a 64gb card (not recommended though, we bought a SanDisk card). It’s fairly well made but the water proof cover is easily scratched but more than able to cope with bumps and knocks.
    The unit does run warm and the instructions are pretty useless, so you definitely need to explore how to use it before taking it out. Just remember to format the card inside the camera before using it, and use a high quality memory card and it should work fine. All in all definitely worth the money, spend a bit more on a decent memory card and watch the kids have a great time with it.

    Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersFirstly the number of mounts that come with the camera are plentiful. What it does NOT come with are harnesses for the body or head, hence the 4 star review. Otherwise you really are set to go for nearly any eventuality.

    I’m also very pleased (and surprised) that 2 batteries were included. The charger supplied can charge both batteries simultaneously, and uses a micro USB (cable also supplied).

    Video quality at 1080p 30fps is more than acceptable. It’s not bluray quality but it will certainly suffice for those action shots. For your main vlogging or video capture needs I would recommend most smartphones these days, a vlogging camera or even SLR / compact camera. The 170 degree wide angle is also very nice.
    I will say there is an option in settings to set the video quality at 4k 10fps. I tested it and the video looked as though it was buffering over a 56k modem circa 1999.

    Photo quality, again you’ll most likely be using this for moving footage but the option is there for photos. They’re acceptable to me, but if like me you want highest quality photos, use another device. When set at 12MP (highest setting) zooming in on the photos you could see noticeable pixelation. Pixelation you would not see on smartphones.

    I’ve mostly said I’m satisfied and quality is acceptable, but considering a cheap GoPro starts at 300 and this 49.99, I’m more than happy with this item. It does the job at a fraction of the price, the interface is very simple to use and it’s a good starter which is what I was looking for. It’s worth the money in my opinion. Normally when you get a lot, you don’t get much in the way of quality. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and aside from the lack of harnesses, I would’ve given this 5 stars … but you can’t have everything!

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDelivery times were as described, product and accessories came as described (almost, a component was missing a nut, see pictures attached, wall mount component).

    Now for the cons, firstly, as a newbie I’d expect a manual that actually explains how to use all the components (this was not found anywhere in the manual), personally I don’t mind a quick puzzle but I also hate being puzzled when I’m already busy with one. One of the components (the one that holds the camera so you may clip it onto a t-shirt) could potentially damage the camera screen if it’s not removed delicately, this is anti-ergonomic. Also, I have tried fitting the bike component around a few bike handles and unfortunately it wasn’t very big in size so I had to improvise by clipping in only one side, this component isn’t very functional for the intended purpose, it should be made larger (or a simple fix would be to provide us with longer bolts) .Another problem was that the LCD screen could only be seen with one eye at a time, plus the the application used with it is slightly laggy when the battery is near the final 20%. A final problem for me was that the components used for wall mounting had sticky pads which left my walls slightly greasy and for long term use this isn’t a very valid option.

    Besides those few imperfections the case the camera came in is pretty neat and locks in nicely, the battery charger has led indicators which I love, and I also like the wide angle lens. I look forward to testing it further, and will update the review.

    In conclusion, for such a price I’d give the product a 4 star, although if it were anything north of 80 I wouldn’t have been happy.

    4.0 out of 5 stars The good, the bad, and the ugly.

    After reading many of the reviews and knowing I couldn’t justify a Go-Pro I thought I’d give this a whirl. After all it isn’t prohibitively expense! It arrived when expected and the packaging was very robust; professional looking and held all the parts securely.
    This is my first foray into action video cameras as I’ve recently started doing DH biking again. Once it was unpacked I was impressed with the quality and the additional mounting accessories it came with, which for a cheap camera is a huge bonus and allows you to mount t pretty much any where you want without having to spend more money.
    I set up the camera, which was pretty easy and also the wifi connection so I could control it with my phone (iPhone 6S plus) the app and wifi functionality work as expected; so far so good.
    I then put a mount on my freeride bikes handlebars and one on my helmet – I haven’t used this one yet so cannot comment on how secure the sticky pad holding it on is.
    I get to the start of the DH run and turn the camera on and start riding. It was hellishly bumpy with drops jumps and big rocks but apart from horrific wind noise it recorded everything including my crash which didn’t damage the camera. The mounting was secure and the picture was more than acceptable. The only downside was the sound. I wonder if the proximity to a massive DH tyre and the track itself contributed so I’m going to try the helmet mount next time I go.
    I’ve used it several times now and it works exactly as you expect. It definitely isn’t a Go-Pro and is quite basic compared to their offerings but it’s about a tenth of the price so as long as you’re okay with that and accepting of the limitations it is a more than capable little camera. I’m actually thinking of getting a couple more so I can record multiple angles to edit into one and also to help me study my form on the bike and see where I need to improve my riding. Happily recommended.

    Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersAKASO EK5000 is an amazing little camera and superb value for money!! I bought this as a fun action camera to use underwater in Mexico, didnt want to spend lots of money on a GoPro – the Akaso arrived with lots of accessories, it’s a small size camera and very high quality…I was actually surprised by how great it looked for the money.

    I used the camera in the hotel pool and at the beach as soon as I arrived in Mexico, images are very clear, sharp and with true to life colours…it captures movement very well – I’m still so impressed by how well it performed and by the quality of photos it produced. The Akaso has very good battery life plus it comes with a spare battery included with the camera pack. I used the camera in various conditions as well as underwater and I’m so thrilled by how well the photos came out….especially underwater, very clear and I really can’t wait to use it again!!

    I also shot video on it and once again, very impressed…..bright colours, sharp images and far better sound quality than I expected for such a small camera. All in all, I’m incredibly happy with my Akaso EK5000…it was a great choice and amazing value for money for such a superb little camera.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing action camera - so happy with it!!

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this to fit to my cycle helmet after one too many near misses. For the price I wasn’t expecting a top of the range camera, and to be honest it isn’t. However, for the purposes of recording my journey to and from work every day it fits the bill perfectly. After using it for a week I’m more than happy with the footage taken during in daylight, and pleasantly surprised at the quality of recordings taken at night too. Okay, so if you cycle down a near pitch black cycle path you won’t record much, but down well-lit streets or on the road it was more than adequate. The camera itself is lightweight, but can look a little bulky when attached to a helmet and inside it’s waterproof casing. On the plus side I’ve already had car drivers who appeared to be about to jump red lights suddenly slow and stop when they spot the camera on my helmet. Operation is simple and straightforward, which is handy as the instructions, while basic, are printed so small that you might struggle to actually be able to read them. Coming with a mass of attachments it would have been nice to have had better instructions as to what each one could be used for. Thankfully Google came to the rescue on that front. The only real downside to this camera, in my opinion, is the battery life. So far I’ve been lucky to get just over an hour’s use out of each battery before they need recharging. Maybe this is why you’re given two though? Final thoughts then. For the price, this does exactly what I want, at a quality I’m happy with. If you want a cheap, cheerful camera that won’t break the bank, and you won’t be too upset about breaking if the action becomes too rough, then give this one a go.

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have used this camera once prior to this review to redeem the free gift (details enclosed in the camera packaging – either Accessory bundle or SD Memory card, [impartial!] review required).
    Early indications, an easy to use camera with excellent picture and reasonable sound quality. Slight issue and as a previous reviewer noted, when familiarising myself with the camera, early recordings were replaced by later recordings on the memory card. So for my initial use, I immediately uploaded the files to my smartphone once videoing had completed. I had the option if needed to insert a fresh memory card. All that said, it is early in it’s use for me and there may be a more convenient way to manage the video files stored on the memory card and it’s associated partitioning through the onboard camera menu and settings.
    For its first proper outing (action video on land), the battery and hence video recording lasted over 80mins at 10min segments. If required I had the 2nd fully charged battery as supplied. I also purchased and used a 64GB memory card designed for high resolution video recordings and this provided high quality footage.
    Other key points, the LCD screen on the back of the camera allows playback function and menu navigation. Onboard Wifi connectivity allows immediate transfer of files to your smartphone via a free app.
    Happy snapping!

    I’ve been after an adventure camera for quite some time, mainly for road use and occasionally rock climbing. But with GoPros costing a few hundred, I was always put off with buying one. With the recent increase in various adventure cameras that are sub 100 or even as low as 40, I was curious how well they fair in comparison to the GoPro camera and just as curious to see how well they perform in the first instance. I chose to try the AKASP EK5000 mainly due to positive reviews and decent price point. I thought at first it may just be coincidence that the reviews were generally positive but I was quite pleasantly surprised. That said, there are point to be improved so I’m going to list some of the pros and cons I have discovered with the camera so far (1 week).

    Pros
    Feels decent, though the plastic body may put some people off, the item has a nice weight and does appear to be of decent quality.
    A great variety of additional bits for whatever activity you are doing
    The app is pretty good, simple but good. It allows you to real time monitor the live feed with only a slight delay, change recording resolution, change mode and even download pictures and videos to your phone.
    Picture resolution is pretty good, the main let down is the lens quality, but it is still very clear.
    Case works well and has kept the camera dry in the rain.

    Cons
    Can’t charge the battery out of the device, though you can get (additionally) a dock to charge them.
    States it does 60fps at 720p, though the device does not seem to say so in the settings. I can’t decide yet whether this is just a OS error or the camera does not do 60fps.
    Instructions are quite basic, more of a ‘quick start’ sort of manual, though it does offer several languages.
    It records in 10 minute segments; there may be a way to change this but I have yet to find it. I get that this may not be a con for some but it can be annoying over time.
    Microphone suffers terribly in the wind and is greatly reduced in the case, but this is expected.

    So to conclude, for the price you could do a lot worse. This camera offers a decent amount of functionality and produces good quality video with audio.
