A decent pair of heat resistant gloves that are reasonably well made
They’re comfortable to wear and fit just fine
The protection factor is good but they do hold heat when they’re in constant use over a bbq
The price is average but they’re a good product that’s worth trying

These gloves are indeed great at what they’re designed for — protecting your hands and arms from the intense heat of the BBQ and oven. The gloves feature silicone grippy pads on both sides of the fingers and palm/back of the hand, which provide a secure hold on utensils and hot cookware. This feature is a game-changer when it comes to preventing accidental drops.

In terms of comfort, these gloves truly shine. They are flexible and comfortable to wear, allowing me to handle pots, pans, and dishes with ease. They provide good heat resistance, although I did notice that extreme heat can eventually transfer through. Nonetheless, they offer enough time to adjust grill grates or move hot trays without any discomfort.

Another advantage is their easy maintenance. Thanks to their black colour, they don’t show dirt easily, and they are washable. I washed them for the first time the other day in my washing machine on the hand wash setting and they came out clean and undamaged.

In conclusion, these heat-resistant gloves are a valuable addition to my cooking tools. They provide exceptional protection against burns, whether you’re working in the oven or by the barbecue. Their heat resistance, comfort, and grip make them a worthwhile investment at a reasonable price.

These are a great pair of gloves for dealing with a smoker, pizza oven or a BBQ. I have these in my shed as I only want to use them for outdoor cooking and I have used them on my BBQ/Pizza oven.

I used these last week when I had my BBQ briquettes roaring hot, white hot in fact. I noticed my rack was not situated on the struts in my kettle BBQ and I just whacked these gloves on and was able to pick up steel grates that were scorching hot with zero impact to my hands. Absolutely perfect, I have also used them to adjust my chimney on my pizza oven, again it is screaming hot and usually I just have to leave it or get some tongs and flap about hopefully but these gloves are just perfect.

Quite large and they go past my wrist meaning my arm or my sleeves aren’t going to get burnt, I think it is the perfect tool to have for anyone who likes cooking with the above methods above. No complaints.

Comfortabe silicone and cotton BBQ gloves that arrived in sealed plastic packaging in good condition. They’re long to protect the arms, and they’re a decent size, too. I have small female adult hands. They fitted well enough for me, with some room at the tips of the fingers, so I can safely use them. They’re perfect for BBQs and camping, too.

These heat resistant gloves are great, they are covered in silicone dots to help grip utensils, trays etc so minimal chance of drop, so already much better than standard oven gloves. The resistance to heat is quite high however the heat will transfer through eventually but they allow you enough time to transport trays etc.

The only thing I don’t like about these gloves is that the size is huge so for me that does make it a little more difficult using them although my husband didn’t find them too bad, however they were still on the large size, even on his hands. I think these would be great if they offered different sizes they then would get top marks.

These oven gloves are great and exactly as I expected from the picture. However, I’ve rated them 4 stars due to the misleading description that suggests they are primarily made of silicone.

As far as I can tell, the gloves are constructed from aramid fibre with a polyester and cotton lining. I believe this is a similar material to what firefighters use. The only parts made of silicone are the grippy pads on both sides of the fingers and palm/back of the hand.

These gloves, sometimes referred to as gauntlets, have long arms. This does make them slightly more challenging to put on, but they offer excellent protection against burns from the oven or barbecue.

They are flexible, comfortable, provide good heat resistance and the individual fingers and grippy pads make it easy to handle pots, pans, and dishes. I don’t believe they have a moisture barrier, so care should be taken with oil and fat as it can render them less effective.

The black colour means they don’t show dirt, and they are also washable. The product description states that they can be hand or machine washed; however, the packaging says not to machine wash. I think I’ll take a chance and machine wash them when needed.

At 16.99 as listed, these are more affordable than similar products at popular high-street stores. When I ordered them, they were further discounted, making them even better value for money.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great oven glove, not a silicone glove.

These work well despite being probably oversized for most people’s hands. They offer good protection from the heat of my firepit allowing me to handle it whilst hot coals are still burning for when I tip them out once I’m done. The rubberised/ silicone grips work really well and allow me to grasp onto the metal.
In terms of heat protection I held the base plate of the firepit which the hot coals were on for about twenty seconds before the heat was coming through the gloves and beginning to get to an uncomfortable level of heat.
I like how fsr they come up the forearm, protecting that area too.
Due to their size they are not the easiest to get on but once they are on I find I can do kost tasks I need to with fire gloves.
I can just rinse these down to wash the ash off to keep them clean enough to use.
They seem well made and that they are likely to last.

We have 10-15 BBQs a year depending on the weather (less this year in the UK!)

My husband has never used gloves which is always a bit of a risk, particularly as flames often seem to be coming out of the side of our barbecue.

This product is a very good quality set of gloves. I like the fact that they are quite large and long, but not very heavy and they seem comfortable to wear.

The material is surprisingly quite light and there are many silicon-type protective patches on each glove.

They provide complete coverage and protection for hands, wrists and lower arms. I couldn’t feel any real heat through them at all. The video suggests that you can use them to move the food around on the grids.

I’m not sure we would follow that advice, particularly with raw versus cooked meats. There’s a risk of cross contamination if you’re not careful and someone forgetting to wash the gloves between BBQs.

Perhaps it’s okay if you’re cooking all of the meat in one sitting and washing the gloves each time.

These will be very handy to avoid getting burnt and to easily move the racks around whilst they’re cooling.

These are pretty good for the price, they are comfortable to wear, have good grip and easy to wash. I did find that the heat resistance isn’t as good as others I have bought but then they did cost a lot more. I found I wasn’t able to hold my spit roast pole for as long and could feel the heat come through quicker when moving the grills on bbq.

These BBQ gloves are effective. The material feels good and I was able to move around the coals in my BBQ without any issues. I wasn’t quite able to hold the deflector plate from my ceramic BBQ but even thick welding gloves struggle with that so I won’t hold it against them. The main issue is that they are absolutely massive. If you have large hands these should fit great but I have medium sized hands and they are far too big. I still intend to use them for moving around my coals etc but won’t be using them while actually cooking.

Sometimes when camping I cook over an open fire using a BBQ grill rack. It’s a great way to cook , but it can involve a lot of heat around the cooking area. Normally I’d use a pair of leather gardening gloves which only offer a short amount of heat reduction , so these gloves are a good replacement as they offer much more protection around the hands and up the forearms. They are comfortable, flexible and easy to put on. The only issue is their size – I don’t have very big hands and these are quite big but I’m not sure this kind of productions comes in smaller sizes.

Their fabric is soft enough to keep fingers moving, and the palm’s non-slip silicone particles add grip.
These gloves have an inner and outer layer, the inner layer can feel a bit clumsy if the palm is too big, but the outer layer is fine.
They cannot withstand high temperatures for a long time. My wife didn’t feel the heat for the first 20 seconds of taking the baking tray out of the oven, but after the 25th second the heat started to transfer to the fingers, but 20 seconds was enough to take the baking tray out of the oven, and compared to oven gloves, their fingers would more flexible.

I am just an average BBQ lover and I love to operate the grill. Not sure about your experience but eventually, whilst flipping burgers, the heat is up, and it gets to a point it takes a toll on my hands and the odd mild burn happens. My wife suggested these gloves and in good time she did. They are sturdy as they come and attenuate the heat from the grill beautifully. No more discomfort and minor burns during BBQs since I started using them.

I previously reviewed some silicone oven mitts. Although heat protection was excellent, the one-size option didn’t allow me to grasp smaller items or handles. My photos show the comparison between the mitt and the glove. The problem is the excess space between thumb and fingers which creases up when you attempt a grip.
These BBQ gloves are also only available in one size. Being a glove design, the proportions for fingers and thumb are correct even on smaller hands. I have average sized hands, my wife has very small hands, yet both of us could grasp small items with ease.
The gloves are long. They provide protection half way to the elbow with the elasticated cuffs holding them in place.
The cotton material allow breathability and flexibility whilst the silcone provides the heat protection.
I haven’t tried a BBQ but have confidently removed heavy cast iron casseroles from the oven. Additionally I found the gloves to be great for moving trivets and liners from very hot air fryers.
A well designed/made product, providing excellent protection at a competitive price.

I hope you found this review useful. The key point is the excess space between thumb and fingers
If you have a question, I always try to respond when Amazon forwards them to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars At last a one-size oven glove that does fit all

These BBQ gloves are protective gloves designed to provide a barrier against high temperatures, making them ideal for various cooking and grilling tasks. They are quite long which also give a good protection to the hands as well as the lower arms.

The standout feature of these gloves is their extreme heat resistance, allowing you to handle hot objects, pots, pans, and grilling surfaces without feeling the heat. This is essential for safety during cooking and grilling. My husband is in charge of the BBQ and he thinks these gloves are useful, especially when he needs to add more charcoal to the grill. These glove protect his hands and arm from the heat.

As much as the gloves can protect the hands from heat, they can catch fire from flames. Therefore, still need to be careful when using these gloves and not to touch the flame with them.

We recently invested in a fancy solo stove log burner for the garden. It’s a funny thing in that most of the surround is fine to the touch (when you wouldn’t think it would be given the heat chucked out). but one you need to poke at a certain angle you do run the risk of touching the two or three seriously hot bits. These gloves solve that problem. They are a real godsend when adding the grill after the original fire has got going. All good.

Handling hot items in the kitchen or at a barbecue has always been a tad nerve-wracking. Wearing these gloves, the fear diminishes. I’ve comfortably lifted pans and moved grilling items. The dexterity is better than expected for gloves designed to handle extreme temperatures, though I did feel warmth sooner than anticipated on a few occasions.

These gloves are very well made they have a thick lining and fit snuggled approximately 6″ above your hand up your wrist.
They feel quite heavy as they appear to have several layers to them.
The palm , knuckles and part of the back of the hand are covered with silicon and apparently can stand very high heat temperatures.
These gloves would be great for BBQ , bonfire night and my husband did say the might also be handy when shovelling snow!
The gloves also have a hook inside the wrist so they can be hung up when not in use.
