Q1: Why doesn’t the shredder work after plugging in?
A1: Please make sure you assemble the head and basket in correct directions. For installation please check: Product guides and documents – Installation Manual (PDF) and Installation Guide Video.
A1.1: Overheating, this design with 30 minute continuous run time with 45 minute cool down after use. Please allow the shredder to cool for at least 45 mins , otherwise it will not work properly.
A1.2: Paper jams can also be one of the reasons for not working. Please use the FWD and REV function to clean up the cutter scraps and the shredding work can be done again.
Q2: The cross-cut shredder is jammed. What should I do?
A2: Please slide the switch to REV and pull up the paper, after removing the exceed sheets, please shred again. If there is too much paper scraps in the paper feed slot, sliding the switch to FWD mode for a few seconds and then to REV mode for a few seconds. Do this several times and the cutter will be cleaned.
Q3: Why is the number of sheets that can be shredded lower than the maximum number of sheets described?
A3: Please check if the paper is damp, contains plastic or too thick, if so, please let the paper dry before shredding, or remove the plastic part, or reduce shredding sheets per pass. To extend the lifetime of the paper shredder, please don’t shred more than 10 sheets in one time.
Q4: The shredder is broken, but the return window is closed. What should I do?

Fantastic shredding capacity
The shredder is incredible. It has a great capacity and you can get a good number of sheets through without having to worry about staples. The storage bin takes ages to fill and is so easy to get in and out!

Why 4 stars and not 5?
The only two, minor niggles I found with this shredder, are the only reasons for not scoring this a solid 5 out of 5 are as follows.
Firstly, the assembly, although very easy to do, I did still find it a little hit & miss, in the sense of being certain everything was seated fully, as this simply will not operate otherwise, obviously for safety reasons, but all the same, given it’s not particularly rocket science, understanding how it goes together, it’s just that it’s fairly tricky getting the main top shredding unit, to sit fully & properly at both the front side and back!
Secondly, during use, if you will be shredding quite a bit for a while, it does release a lot of very fine powdered paper out of the top, during the shredding cycle, so it does tend to get everywhere, including up your nose! I’m not too sure if this could be something that would be possible to fix in future models, but certainly worth mentioning here.
However, other than the above two niggles, I must say, as someone who has owned several other shredders, mostly unbranded and far cheaper than this one, I am thrilled to have decided on buying this one, it’s brilliant!
I have decided not to push this machine to it’s maximum potential, in the belief that by doing so it will extend it’s life.
The manufacturer states that it can handle X10 sheets at a time and run continuously for X30 minutes, which given the price point, is indeed impressive!
I have now completed a lot of shredding with this model, I have run it continuously for around X20 minutes, and have been inserting between X3 to X5 sheets of A4 paper at a time, the only reason I have needed to stop has been to empty the bin bellow, very impressive!
So my advice is to shred less than X10 sheets at a time, as it greatly depends on the thickness of each sheet, whether they are glossy or not etc etc.
Also, don’t be tempted to shred until the bin bellow is totally filled to capacity, as doing so will only slow the cutting blades down and possibly cause it to automatically switch off!
There’s a viewing window at the front, it’s very easy to keep an eye on it.
It’s handled old bank cards & staples with ease too.
I’m very pleased with this shredder, my only regret is having wasted so much money & time on so many previous & totally useless shredders!
I certainly recommend this one.
Once Assembled, a Good Micro shredde
The assembly process was finicky, but once properly assembled (the shredding lid of the device was very difficult to align it correctly with the frame) it has become an invaluable part of my office/den. Its operation is quiet and I am delighted with the micro-cut.
Quiet, sturdy and convenie
Very impressed by how quiet the shredder is! Also seems to be very well built, it’s very easy to assemble and very easy to use. The pull-out waste hopper is incredibly convenient and a lot less messy than models that need you to lift the top off when emptying.
Does what it is supposed to
I bought this machine as my previous one heated up and stopped. As I am scanning files and shredding them this was greatly reducing my efficiency. This machine shreds into tiny pieces of paper and so far has not overheated. The collection bin seems a bit flimsy but so far I have had no problem with it.
So far I would recommend it as it is reasonably priced and does everything that I have demanded of it. The cut off could be a little bit quicker and less noisy. However, I would recommend this machine for anybody who wants his papers destroyed and has periods when they need to do a lot of shredding.
Great quality
Been using this for over a year after spending more money on other shredders that did not do the job. Very pleased. Never had any issue other than me not closing the paper compartment correctly so it will not power up. safety ;0) … Still going strong after some heavy use.
