Best waffle maker we’ve ever bough
Had several waffle makers in the past and they’ve always been rubbish. But this one is the best.
Sturdy, stylish and it makes great waffles. Cooking plates easy to remove and clean as well.
    Five Stars.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersReally good waffle iro
We had an unbranded waffle maker before upgrading to this one from Breville and it’s crazy how much better the cooking experience is. The waffles don’t stick at all and they cook evenly. My favourite feature are the removable plates as it makes it so easy to clean.

Good Waffle maker, worth paying extra for the Breville brand.
I paid a bit extra for this waffle maker as I liked the idea of being able to remove the inside so I can wash them in the sink, other waffle makers didn’t have this function, so paid an extra 20 or so so I had this option. Well worth the extra money and I feel it can be washed properly. Says to cook your waffles for 7 minutes in the booklet, if you like them crispy then leave in for the 7 minutes or if you like them a bit softer cook for 5 minutes. Waffles are really nice made in this, we don’t have them all the time but its a nice treat now and again.

    So far so good.
Great waffle maker and the removable plates are a game changer. It doesn’t cook evenly though. Not had alot of waffle makers so not much to compare to but that doesn’t bother me much.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersSuperb easy clean machine foe chaffles and waffles.
I spent a long time looking for the right waffle maker to make chaffles. This one works very well. Unlike some, it heats quickly and cooks them very well. Easy to clean, it sometimes only needs a quick wipe over, but you can remove each plate to wash in the sink. I dont risk them in the dishwasher. I bought a plastic spatula to lift waffles out so as to not scratch the ceramic plates. Lots of recipes on Pinterest. We are on Keto diet and this machine has been a game changer. Dont overfill if you want to avoid it boiling out the sides – you soon learn just the right amount of mixture. I have had this machine about 3 weeks now. I am going to batch make waffles and freeze them. You canthen just pop in toaster when you want one without defrosting.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWorth buying , especially if you have food allergy/intolerances/coeliac and want safe waffles!
I looked at several waffle makers before buying this one and I’m pleased with my decision.
It’s really easy to use, cleans up well and it makes regular sized rectangular waffles but you can also make belgian style round waffles with a thick enough mixture.
We are gluten free so it’s been great to be able to make our own waffles, the recipes we use work very well.
I’ve removed one star as I think the top plate doesn’t cook as well as the bottom plate but I just flip the waffles over if they seem undercooked. I’ve had this issue with other appliances.
TIP – get the right amount of mixture! Too little and they will not cook on the top, too much and it will overspill!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersBest Belgian Waffle Make
This is the best and easy to use and easy to clean waffle maker. The waffles comes evenly golden brown and they ready within 7 minutes .I made different waffles from plain to chocolate or hearty ones and many more to make. The waffle iron can have a good wash after each use.It comes with removable plates they are easy to take out with a click button .
Its already non stick ,so in no need for oil or butter. The clasp you only close it when you want to put it in storage not when in use ,due that the waffle will rice and need to have space to bake .When the batter is to thin the waffle maker will fall into the closed position ,so be aware to keep it open until the waffle has some rosen..It will give some steam ,this is totaly normal when the batter is inside It need to be in open position,so the steam can go away to get good waffles.Overall this is my best waffle maker my family love everything what comes out from it.Simple recepies in the instruction booklet included. They come out perfectly fluffy .We can’t get enough of it and for my children they find easy to use and doesnt take long to get delicious waffles ,better than buying expensive outside from restaurants while you can make it at your own home.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat little waffle make
This is a great little waffle maker that’s easy to use and clean afterwards.

A little bit of experimentation, patience and care should mean it lasts well. We’ve had ours about 6 months now and use it at least once a fortnight, sometimes weekly. It’s still looking and working like new.

We found many of the recipes in the accompanying manual worked well, but our favourite is the “Luxury waffles” variant. We usually halve the quantity otherwise have to freeze half of them which works well too. We tried a few online recipes but keep coming back to the Luxury one.

Make sure it’s up to temperature and use a quick, light spray of oil on both surfaces before the first and after every couple of uses which makes the waffles slip out without any sticking at all.

I use a curved rubber (spoon-like) spatula to drip the mix onto the plates as I can gauge the ‘load’ better and position it into the corners better than just pouring from a mixing bowl or jug.

I do 5 minutes first then turn them over and finish with 2 minutes. That seems to give a firm but not hard result 🙂

Cleaning is easy when you can remove the plates and wipe down the rest.

    Very happy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe most practical waffle maker, effective, rapid and easy to clean.
I have bought this waffle maker on discount after desiring it for several years…

My criteria for choosing it are:
1- good build quality (it does not disappoint)
2- non-stick surface (absolutely non-stick, better and healthier than teflon)
3- removable plates to wash them properly (easy, simple and solid release mechanism)
4- even heat for crispy and evenly cooked waffles (almost perfect, this being a non-rotatable waffle maker the bottom is always a bit crispier than the top, but by a really small amount).

I have used a simple recipe with self-raising flour, but I am sure if I used the original belgian recipe with yeast and pearl sugar this waffle maker would really shine!

It is all in all compact, it can be stored on its side, taking up less than half the space. It has no temperature settings, which I guess is not an issue as it is perfectly tailored to cooking waffles. Theoretically you can also get the toaster plates which you can switch in and make it become even more versatile. I am sure the temperature would be fine for either use!

Highly recommended and fun, especially since it is so EASY TO CLEAN compared with models with fixed plates and poor non-stick surfaces… that in my experience is a major barrier to using a waffle maker regularly, hence why 5 solid stars.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersGreat design, simple to operate, well buil
Buying anything these days seems to be a real battle in terms of finding durable, well designed, properly built kitchen appliances, seems sometimes the only way of guaranteeing an appliance being fit for purpose is having to spend a fortune on it!

Over the last week I have seriously tested out Amazon Prime (sorry Amazon) after having bought, opened, repacked and sent back two other waffle makers, both with high ratings of satisfaction which to be honest I simply cannot believe, low and behold I finally after much deliberation bought the Breville.

Amazon Prime did us proud once again, ordered late Friday, told delivery was Sunday then arrived yesterday! Marvellous

So today the Breville was fired up in earnest, Gluten free batter mix ( courtesy of a Jamie Oliver recipe, not bad, needs sugar and don’t use the salt, enough in the butter!) for my better half and regular (used the recipe in the supplied Breville leaflet) for the rest of the family.

As per the instructions, must always leave the lid unclipped as the waffles really rise! (Check out the pics)

The waffles look a little less ‘browned’ on the top maybe compared to the bottom, but taste just great and are definitely cooked through after 5 – 7 mins

The other major benefit over its other competitors is the metal plates are removable, what a godsend and such an intelligent addition to the waffle makers design.

All in all, the Breville Wafflemaker is well designed, looks great on the worktop, is properly cleanable and packs away into a drawer when not in use.

A very happy Dad, the other half likes it to and best of all we all love the end product, super delicious waffles, now we just have to make sure we don’t get overweight from eating too many waffles!

(Image of the 4 waffles together, 1st effort, tge Regular waffles show the underside on the left and topside on the right, so you can see how they look from both sides. The gluten free waffles show topside on the left and underside on the right)
