It works! Been using for 6 weeks!
I am not a reviewer, normally don’t bother but long live this product!!! I have bought everything under the clouds to moisturise and define my curls, and this is special. When I applied to my wet her and started scrunching and yet felt some kind of serum texture to this light jelly, I was sure I found what I was looking for for years! The definition last for days, easy to use, not heavy, yet enough hold to help with frizz. I like the pump and the smell too, very discreet, yet pleasant! This is just perfect for me! Happy I have found it and I think we will be friends for a long time!
The best gel there is
I always and only use this hair gel it does some magic in my hair, it gives moisture, buildable hold, shine, and defines my curls all in one. I’ve been using this gel for years and will only use this one.

Unfortunately my product came damaged but managed to use the rest of it, it leaves your curls so soft and moisture, but not what you’re looking for if you’re looking for a strong hold gel for curls! My curls are 3b-3c and left them pillow soft but rubbish hold

I have only been using this product for a month but I’m so amazed by how effective it’s been with my curls!
I recently bought this after all the positive comments online but I’ve seriously been blown away, my curls are divined, hydrated yet not crunchy or sticky at all! I’ve been using this during my trip abroad so I can honestly say it passes the humidity test! IN LOVE
Side note – it’s open/close twist top actually works, haven’t had a spill yet and that’s having gone through 2 long haul flights!
Not sticky, gives soft fluffy curls.
I was surprised by this product because it was not sticky at all even though it has a gel consistency. When dried my braids felt a bit stiff but once I had taken them down and separated I was shocked at how soft my curls were and they were not sticky to the touch. I do think you have to test which products you pair it with to make sure you don’t get flakes once dried. The definition was fabulous and it smells divine a small amount goes a long way. I recommend this product.

Having high porosity hair has meant that my hair tangles super easily, lacks shine, and I have to just have my hair up most of the time because it looks dry a day after washing it.
Combo: Moisture milk – Curlaide – Curl maker
This combination has done wonders for my hair. Washed on Sunday wore it out from Monday to Wednesday and wore it up Thursday to Saturday (by choice and not because it looked dry). It’s currently Saturday and my hair still looks hydrated, defined, and feels light so I know detangling won’t be difficult. This is now my go to combo.
Better than most I've tried
Having natural curly hair it can be trial and error finding a good gel. Having sensitive scalp & skin makes it harder. But I love this gel. Love the curl definition it gives, not flaky, and no skin reactions. With a lil spray of water the next day my curls are popping again so lasts long. Its deffo worth a try

It’s took me ages to finally find a product that gives a soft hold. It gives a great definition to my curls when layered over a mousse and cream. Very moisturising for my hair with a lovely scent. My hair not only looks healthy but smells great. This product is worth it’s price
Tried many gels for my hair (2c/3a) and always come back to this one. It really is that good. If you’re reading this review and tempted, just go for it. It’s definitely worth trying IMHO, for all curlies or all types.
You should definitely give it a try! Before ruling it out! I’ve really loved using this curl maker as part of a wash and definition day which I ve tested and document on my Instagram @mayitetr. I’ve paired it with the milk moisture, It saved me so much time and my hair felt soft and Moisturised throughout the week! It is just amazing! You get some soft flakes afterwards ( not the usual flakes I am used to) but overall, I love it and will recommend trying it!
This is great for definition, but only hold for a couple of days unless you use it on top of the milk from the same brand, then it works great! Having said that curls will need to be refreshed with water and extra styling product after a few days.
This product is insanely good.
My hair is 3c/4a, low porosity, high density and long. This is what I found with the product.
Pros:
– This is single-handedly the best curl-defining product I’ve ever tried. I usually have no choice but to use gels and conditioners and spray in conjunction so my hair is defined but not dry. And it’s hard to find products which work together and do not flake. Finally I’ve found something which can be used entirely on its own, though Camille Rose Naturals’ recommends their Love Milk leave-in conditioner underneath – but if I used both, then it would really break the bank! I recommend leaving in a little of your regular conditioner instead.
– It doesn’t flake.
– It reduced the time it usually takes me when cock-tailing other products since I only had to use one.
– The hold is very strong but not crunchy – I always felt those two had to go hand in hand for the curls to last but not with this product.
– It’s about 4/5 days later and the curls are still in-tact, defined, not frizzy and are moisturised. That’s something I’ve never been able to achieve with any other product.
– It smells okay – it smells like grapefruits. Not an artificial grapefruit scent but unsweetened, unperfumed grapefruits. I like grapefruits but it is a little strong – when it dries, it smells like a regular sweet conditioner on your hair but it isn’t overpowering.
– The product is thick but not sticky and doesn’t leave any coating or residue on your hands or hair.
– The product is all-natural and silicone free.
Cons:
– The price for Brits like myself is terrible – it’s just too much money to buy on a regular basis. I would have to sacrifice the other products I like in order to buy this again in the future.
– I would expect the bottle to be at least, at the very least 500ml for such a tall price, and it’s only 12oz – around 335ml.
– Again, for Brits, the availability of this product is inconsistent which doesn’t make me have the confidence to make this a staple product in my routine.
– The pump arrived broken. I can’t excuse this for the price I paid to try this product. The pump was flimsy anyway and was made out of cheap plastic, only by chance did I have a pump I could use in its place but it doesn’t fit perfectly and this shouldn’t have happened in the first place
I do want to buy this again but only time will tell.
I love, love, loooove this product! Everyone in the family uses this product and we all fight for it. It gives hold, but it’s not crunchy or super hard. It is slippery, so it helps detangle your hair and the best thing yet is that you don’t need to use a lot to get the result you want. It may cost a bit more than similar products on the market, but it lasts a long time.
This stuff is amazing for curly hair. It gives me definition yet doesn’t make my hair crunchy or stiff. It’s quite moisturizing also, so my curls are left soft and shiny. So expensive but I gladly pay the price. You only need to use a small bit so the bottle should last ages.
I love this curl enhancer, it works very well with my hair. Very pricey but most brands mainly available in USA are expensive here. This is a great product and work well with the moisturising butter gel.
Have been natural head for a lot of years but had breast cancer in 2012 and so my hair fell out from the chemo. When my hair grew back it grew back thicker than before so decided to do wash and go styles as it was the easiest. I have tried numerous numerous products but when they dried into my hair they left it hard and often would leave me embarrassed because my hair felt like a brillo pad (you know those pan scourers) and i was sure others around me could see that my hair looked this way. I then settled on using As I Am products as the gel didn’t leave my hair hard along with the leave in conditioner it gave me curls. BUT i decided to give this product a go cos i saw ‘a tiny closet’ on youtube demonstrating how she uses it to do her hair. THIS PRODUCT IS THE BOMB. i cannot tell you its a miracle in a jar for those that want to do a wash a go styling. It seems the more your hair gets accustomed to this product the more curl definition you get. Yeh it pricy for us in the UK but it does the job and that is the key – it does the job AND with no crunch. My hair feels moisturised. I use the moisture milk before using the gel.
Don’t waste your money like i did buying different products trying to find a gel that is moisturising, non drying and gives great curl definition. You have found it in this product.
I really love this product. I think its similar to kinky curly curling custard which was what I was using before. My hair feels more healthy with the camille rose. My hair feels so soft. I’m loving this!
