    Ease of use
My wife bought these as she is partially disabled
Being keen on gardening she as always struggled to reach when pruning, but these have been absolutely great, she loves them.

Very handy but quite heavy when in the ai
It’s great that you can snip small branch/twigs and plants from a distance – and bring said bits back to dispose of etc – but I found it a little heavy and my hands ached for days after squeezing the end to get the blades to shut. Some disabled or elderly may find this impossible to use.

    Present for wife.
She loves it ! Easy to use and just the thing for deadheading plants and roses as keeps hold of cut off flower bud etc. to retrieve. Not for pruning thick twigs etc. Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPerfect for Wisteria
I’ve got a 4m wisteria at the front of my house which is wild and needs trimming weekly. I was using a ladder and shears but still couldn’t reach very well so these have been absolutely perfect!

    Cut and hold
Nice gadget. Head swivels so you can cut exactly where you want to. I use it for the pond plants. Easy to cut and remove the dead leaves without dropping them into the wate

    Great Gadge
I wish I had had one of these a long time ago. It’s perfect for high up (thin) branches on shrubs. I have a bad back so I don’t have to bend down to prune and I can get into prickly plants .

Easy to use with one hand.
This was a very useful tool to use with one hand if anything I might have ordered the shorter one but it was manageable in the size. And not that heavy. The delivery was fast so happy with order and the tool.

    Brilliant gadget. Easy to use.
Just what I wanted. Easy to hold and use, lightweight and a good reach. To be able to cut & then hold the piece you’ve cut is absolutely brilliant. Have only just used it as it was too hot before. Very pleased indeed.

    Well made and sharp.
This seems to be well made and very light l only received it yesterday ,so l have only tried it out ,but l think it will be useful as l am short and it will give me a longer reach.

    Such a useful produc
I wish I had bought these secateurs years ago, they’re marvellous. Comfortable, easy to use and manoeuvrable. The bonus is the gripping of the plant snipped instead of falling into the flower bed.

    Brilliant!
I wish I had bought this years ago, as it makes deadheading my climbing roses so easy. It’s lightweight, easy to manoeuvre and grips the bits you’re cutting off, so they don’t fall to the ground. I couldn’t ask for more and would highly reccommend.

Now can safely prune where I couldnt reach before like the top of the rose arch.
I already had the shorter version and knew this would be very helpful.
Just be prepared that the longer length means that it can seem a bit heavy after a long pruning session!

one of the most useful tools I have ever brough
So pleased to have seen someone on gardeners world using one of these. I can now reach to deadhead the flowers with ease. So liberating to be able to things for yourself instead of having to ask others to do them for you. Along with my trusty gripper I can enjoy working in my garden. If you have thought about getting one of these don’t hesitate any longer.

Excellent for hard to reach branches
I have found the pruner extremely helpful, it has meant that I have not found it necessary to clamber around on steps. As described, it is suitable for thinner branches only, but it is a great advantage that it grips them so that they can be lifted down and not get caught up out of reach. Pruning a climbing rose was much less painful this year! It is light to use, much easier than loppers which are now reserved for the heavier jobs. Definitely recommended.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersRetro look , works well
When I initially ordered this I was worried that it looked a bit fragile, but in real life its fine. It has a nice retro look with the fire engine red handle and gripper bars. The top gripper bar has serrations going long wise that grip stems as they are cut. It works well for pruning stinging nettles, brambles and roses. There is a metal rod going down the centre of the tube, it’s simple and there is not much that could go wrong. There is a catch to keep the blades closed while not in use. The blades are not serrated.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent for dead heading in complete comfo
Brilliant piece of kit. I’ve got a lot of modern shrub roses that grow quite large, reaching across them with ordinary secateurs is difficult and often painful, these are one metre long so will reach most places without disturbing other plants in the border. Excellent quality and light weight, a good balance of strength and weight, only really for dead heading / summer pruning, (also holds on to the bit that you’ve cut) you will need to get in with traditional secateurs with a thick coat and leather gloves for winter pruning. They were quite expensive but good value, I shall give them a squirt of WD40 each time I put them away and I shouldn’t need to use the lifetime guarantee that comes with this tool

I wish I had bought this years ago!
A very well made tool which works really well. I have a garden with steep banks and it is very difficult to get at some of my roses for dead heading but this tool makes the job easy and safe.

A Great addition to my gardening tools
This is a brilliant piece of kit. It is great for reaching out of ordinary reach plants such as across a border or high on a trellis. It is especially good for trimming and dead-heading prickly plants & shrubs ie roses & pyracantha. When you are getting on in years, it also reduces the amount of bending when dead-heading low growing flowers. A must-have item for the older gardener.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersA brilliant tool!
This is an outstanding tool. I purchased one via Amazon in spring this year. We have a small garden which is so full of plants that, during the summer, it is difficult and often impossible to reach them with wrecking other things. With this tool I have been able to deadhead (it holds the cut piece) and maintain everything and we have had far more flowers as a result. In many cases it has simply made the job much easier but, often, it has enabled me to do things which I simply could not without it. I considered the 1.5m version but I can use this one-handed and therefor reach out with it – I think the longer version would require both hands and thus wouldn’t reach much further. It is well made and well thought out. Don’t be put off by seeing it on Gardener’s World – he used it up the wrong way so the cut piece fell to the ground. Very odd!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWell made and easy to use
Good quality product and easy to use. As others have said, it might not cut larger woody stems but I wanted it for pruning the smaller branches of a wisteria. As a pensioner I’m not sure I could handle the 1.5m version with one hand, hence the purchase of this one.
It doesn’t always grab the smaller diameter branches but for me that is not a problem. A bonus for me is being able to prune the roses at the back of the bed from the lawn and path.

    Darlac one handed long prune
Product exceeded expectation and was delivered prior to delivery date. It was exactly what I needed as have had replacement hip operation and cannot bend to prune plants. A little heavy and hand can get caught in cutting “claws” but this is not a problem as you soon learn and does not detract from the produc

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersJust wonderful
I saw one of these in use at a Wildlife park and was struck by its utility and versatility. It arrived on the day expected and a helpful text message gave me an hour-long window for delivery. It was delivered bang in the middle of the slot. As a garden tool it is excellent for trimming hard to reach plants, whilst not leaving the trimmings behind. Also exceptionally good for reaching blackberries that no-one else can reach!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersShould have bought one of these years ago
I bought this since I had trouble bending down to prune brambles etc following an operation. Even though I am now OK again I still find this incredibly useful, makes pruning really easy you can reach into bushes etc – should have got one years ago. It won’t really cut through woody tree branches etc but it will get rid of brambles and smaller shoots etc. I was so impressed I bought the longer 1.5 metre one as well for even more awkward tasks!
