A really useful piece of ki
A really good item as the box includes a good selection of cutting discs. I use them with my Milwaukee M12 version of the Dremel. Purchased on Prime day. So a really good deal, which was to good to be missed.
Blades work great with no issues
Cut through mild steel for the job I needed… Never done any metal work and poor DIY skills as you can see with the cuts but the blades worked grea
Versatile discs for numerous uses.
I used one of the discs to cut through a plastic stone guard from a Honda Jazz. It went through it like a knife through butter. Very impressed would have been a faff with a pad saw. Not cheap but makes life easier.
Does exactly what it's meant to
Was exactly what I was looking for.
Took me a bit to figure out how it went together but then it was really easy to use.
Nice little box but the disks do fall out when you open it as they don’t clip in.
As yet none of them have broken.
Bravo
Speed clic tool included and 10 tough discs.
A handy plastic box to keep them together.
So far I’ve used them to cut metal tubing which it did with ease.
These are really tough little discs,
So easy to use.
These genuine Dremel disks are brilliant, I had a siezed rear wheel bearing on a Harley Sportster, I had to resort to carefully cutting it out as no heat or pressure would shift it, I read some reviews as this bearing outer race is made from hardened steel and I needed something tough to cut through it, I was pleasantly surprised, with a bit of gentle pressure and a few squirts of water, 10 mins later it had cut right through…unbelievable! I tried other disks but they either broke or wore out in seconds its a solid 10/10 from me.
Good value
Excellent, easy to use and better value than the cheaper options, will fit all rotary tools, corded or cordless, definitely top of my list for the next time I purchase cutting discs
So far I’ve used these to cut model railway track, and for that they are quick, clean and easy to use. I also used them to cut away a jammed metal valve cover, and for that they were a little too big but did the job. It takes strong fingertips to mount the discs onto the mandrill, and once in place they are rather fragile.
Great cutting discs for your Dremel
These are great cutting discs for the small task where a full size grinder is just too much.
Used them to cut steel bolts, aluminium trims etc, and the work great.
Could last longer but i guess they are tiny… The speedclic system makes it so easy… just be careful when they get hot!
Impressed!
The price isn’t the best but of this product – only purchased this particular one to get the mandrel included but really impressed – I didn’t look at the instructions and managed to put the disc on effortlessly and it cut through steel pipe (on my drum hardware to make stands smaller) with ease. My Dremel 3000 had to be on max but handled it well. Don’t forget safety goggles!
I am removing skirting board that has been nailed in place. Each wall has 3 or 4 pairs of nails sticking out of the brick and need cutting off. I was using the standard cut off discs, i was lucky if i got 2 nails out of 1 disc before it wore away or broke. Sometimes 2 on a nail. Each time it took about a minute to change discs. With this, I have cut through about 20 nails on the same disc so far, and I remove it after cutting in seconds. It grips really well, fast change, really pleased with it.
better than the small screw fitting at a cos
I bought mainly for the storage box to keep the existing bits and manrels tidy. The partitions are a poor fit and seem to leave a gap at the case opening. They can be forced down and I think I will hot melt glue them into position.
The larger diameter and reinforced disc material works well in comparison with the wee screw and threaded shaft arrangement.
The disc identification is dire and after using the disc it is impossible to tell what type it was. but then again telling what type a new one is is also not easy the printing is variable and the letterring on the symbol is so fadded on some of my new discs is invisible.
Obviously it is for light occasional duty which is what I use it for as it does not compete with a normal grinde
Brillia
Had to shorten the weighted rod at the bottom of a blind when cutting it to size. For some reason, this rod seems to be hardened steel – a hacksaw with a new blade barely scratched it after a solid 10 mins.
I bought these discs but really didn’t expect them to work on something so hard.
I was pleasantly surprised – cut through the bar in less than a minute. My Dremel just got a lot more useful thanks to these.
They certainly cut well, but wear might be an issue
Easy to change and perfect cuts with my new Dremmel. I nearly wore out one saw disk with a few simple cuts however, which I assumed would not be the case with these, more expensive, cutting wheels.
I’ve generously given 4 stars, as the performance is excellent. I would rate the value for money and durability as only 3 each.
Cut well and last well but expensive
Last much longer than the normal dremel cut off wheels which is handy if you are cutting small amounts of metal in tight locations but they are very expensive. Cut well and much better than the standard cut off wheels (they don’t shatter as readily and last many times longer) but only using them in small amounts otherwise the cost would be prohibitive.
I have a cheaper Draper rotary multi tool and this works perfectly to replace the terrible cutting discs that were supplied with that. (The Draper tool I have has different sizes of collets – the grippy part that goes inside the chuck – to suit different sizes of tool. One of them fits the mandrel which is included in this kit. I can’t guarantee your generic rotary multitool will definitely be able to grip this.)
For me, the two cutting discs I’ve used so far were 100% well-behaved (didn’t fall apart – and didn’t shatter spectacularly like cheaper generic cutting discs do). There might be some quality-control issues but they’re not “all rubbish all the time”.
These cut well and quickly, the EZ SpeedClic system is pretty damn nice to work with (much more so than the “fiddly little screw” system used by the mandrel-and-discs that came with my Draper tool).
They’re a great upgrade to both Dremel and (if it happens to fit) other brand rotary multi-tools.
Was not sure these would do the task I wanted but was pleasantly surprised. I needed to cut through the metal crimps securing rubber fuel pressure hoses to steel tube. In a confined space where I could not get a hacksaw in, and certainly not a vicious angle grinder, I thought I would try these in the Dremel. Had to run the tool at maximum revs, but it cut through the two (fairly soft) crimps in about 45 seconds each 20mm long cuts, and it was easy to hold it back from cutting further into the rubber thereby damaging the pipe beneath. Then tried it on a steel body panel that I needed to modify and although much slower I succeeded in cutting about 15mm length of cut through 1mm mild steel. All that achieved on one disk and there is still life in it yet.
Great quality cutting discs that will keep going and going!
I love these cutting discs. Must quicker than having to fix them in place with the little screw. The cutting discs themselves are of good quality and are lasting well. I had to shorten some square barrels from four door locks and would have gone threw a number of thinner cutting discs to finish the job but with these I only used one and it still barely looks like it’s been used. The storage case is exactly the same as the one that came with my Dremel and therefore slots nicely onto the opposite end of my carry case. I can definitely recommend these.
Good quality blades – I’ve had some terrible ones in the past that came with my Maplin rotary tool. They just fall to pieces and are a pain to change. Once the Maplin rotary died a second time (warranty replaced the first) and I got a good one Bosch Professional 06019C5000 GRO 10.8 V Rotary Tool Bare Unit – Blue , I tried using the old bits (it came with an extensive accessory range) and they were awful. These Dremel blades are worth their price even if you don’t get SpeedClic. The unbranded ones are just a false economy for cutting.
SpeedClick as a system is a little more expensive than normal bits but is quick and easy to change. If you cut as a professional or want good performance and fast changes, buy the SpeedClic system. Perfectly paired with a quick chuck Dremel 2615448632 Keyless Quick Change Multi Tool Chuck 4486 .
Dremel are owned by Bosch, and the high quality bits are an excellent pairing to a quality tool.
This kit has completely changed the way I use my rotary tool. (A Draper rather than a Dremel)
It’s no longer a chore to use for jobs that require a good bit of grunt to get through something like a thick piece of steel. It happily cuts without the disks exploding and when they’re worn down it takes a few seconds to change out and get going again. The box that they’re in also transforms into a neat little storage case so you can store the disks you get and any refills you buy.
I can’t fault this product at all. Before I bought it I thought it was a bit pricey but I now think that the cheaper items are a complete false economy.
The speedclic system itself is clever, and once you have mastered using the tip, it does save time switching discs and is a lot less messing about.
The cutting discs themselves are fairly tough for their diminutive size.
I brought these specifically to cut round holes in the tops of beer kegs because a regular sized grinder was too big to get a decent edge.
To give you an idea of how good they are I was cutting 9 inch diameter holes through stainless steel and it took about 4 discs per hole, which I thought was pretty good considering the thickness of the material and how small the disc was.
Overall a good buy, though some of the discs were more fiddly than others to fit and I thought a little pricey as some of the discs are different, 2 are thinner metal blades and 2 were for plastics.
I would recommend these if you have a lot of cutting and need to do a fair bit of chopping & changing between blades.
