Very solid quality with a premium feel and excellent sound quality that is above more expensive brands. Easy to use buttons and easy to sync with phone / mp player.
Comes with usb c charger lead but wish it came with usb c to 3.5mm jack plug also, and no indication of left or right side (apparently the right ear speaker is the side with the buttons)
I have only just tried these phones out. The sound is pretty good. For me, the fit was very tight and not so comfortable. My wife’s head is pretty much normal size and they were perfect for her.
Review UPDATE
The only reason I bought these phones was to use them on long noisy flights. Disappointed that there is no earphone socket so that they can be plugged into an aircraft AV system.
You can use the USB C socket and then plug it into a USB A socket on a laptop. I can’t see that working on a plane though
I don’t know if this is aprocryphal but some pieces of audio burn in? I found these headphones very sibilant at first (KT KTunstall, Eye to the Telescope). But they seemed to have calmed down. Trainspotting/Primal Scream sounds OK now. Mamas and the Papas – Go where you wanna go – no sibilance. Laurie Anderson Excellent Birds still defeats them though in the highlights. Overall, they have great depth for the price and in some instances I’m hearing things I’ve never heard from a budget bluetooth headset before. Overall, very sensitive to original recording level. Useful for studio use to see how bad/good sound likes.
I was a bit apprehensive buying these headphones since I am quite loyal to my AirPods, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The noise cancelling feature is great. I can still hear some louder noises but they’ve definitely been softened and sounds such as loud air conditioning, fridges at work and tv sounds are almost silent, with respect to some louder ambient sounds. The sound quality is really good but not as loud as I would like. that is probably a good thing since I like to deafen myself with my music.
However, there is quite a bit of sound leakage. If you use them at full blast, everyone will be able to hear what you are listening to which is why I will mostly use these for gaming and for their noise cancelling feature. I have also noticed that wearing them outside in windy weather amplifies the sound of the wind so it is harder to hear my music.
Other than that, I am really happy with these headphones and will primarily use them for noice cancellatio
Bluetooth and wired/two modes. usb-c charging port for wired connection., noise cancellation is magical, even blocks out 85% of seagull. (worth using around town just for that)
The wireless lag is fairly apalling, their game mode trims it from bluetooth 5.0’s 200ms to 80ms.
Without AptX support (bt5.1), bluetooth headphones are not good for gaming nor watching most movies.
(depending on codec used i had to change the audio delay by a ton) Fine for music.
That said, when you use these wired
All the levels are fantastic and ready to be put through any equaliser app you can get your hands on.
The microphone function also works very well.
If the usb port survives use for more than half a year these will probably become the best headphones i’ve owned. (to hell with you, samson, and your shoddy wiring)
But i do repeat, unless you buy aptX headphones, these are not for gamers who want a wireless connection.
wifi has far more bandwidth for that
(on account of using 10 times more power).. these will last almost 50 hours on a full charge.
With the quality these headphones, already are, AptX would have put quite a bit onto the price.
although u can get compatible headphones for less than these cost, their hardware will rarely be deserving of the new protocol.
Earbuds might be alright tho haven’t tried those for decades.
Midrange product, low-end price. The bluetooth suffers because of it but if you don’t mind wired, these are phenomenal.
