    Unkomplizierter Einbau

I have been using this SSD for a while. This Gen4 SSD come with a price that you usually get Gen3 from other more famous brands. In terms of performance, it do not fail me. Sometimes it will get hot but this is common with every other high speed SSD. I will recommend this SSD to others.

I bought this SSD to add in a system where windows was already installed. I wanted to add a second SSD to install Linux without reducing the space for Windows. I am very happy with my purchase. Now I have a dual boot PC working perfectly.

Simple install into PS5 to expand its storage. Suggest beginners watch a quick video to get a few tips first. Also buy a heatsink case to keep it cooler. There are some drives that come with heat sinks but it worked out cheaper to buy separately (heatsink on Amazon was $13AUD). On ps5 start up it picked up the drive straight away and formatted it. Have moved games across and it works like normal in the background to play games seamlessly. 1TB does fill up quick with game sizes these days so would look at a 2TB if you can afford it. Hopefully the drive will last but will update review if it fails.

It does get a bit warm while I play games but this does not affect the performance in any way. i did a lot of research and reading before buying a product like this. this was the cheapest one at the time with only one youtube video about it. 2 years later and the speeds are exactly the same as the day i bought it. I can’t fault it at all an i will happily buy this again in the future

Purchased for PS5 storage expansion. Some assembly required, but straightforward enough. Easy to install. No problems encountered, I’ve moved a number of games to it and they all play flawlessly

Amazing SSD with a slight drawback
I love this SSD, it’s super fast, 100% compatible with my PS5 as was advertised and it’s size is also the right amount, my only real complaint I have to make is that I had to assemble it and that wasn’t the easiest task with my shaky hands, but after I got that done, it was easy to get installed and working.

Got this as a secondary m. 2 for my 3080 build. I know it isn’t the fastest thing ever but I mean with these speeds you never notice any difference really and if you so you do you are either super picky or lying. Reliability is what matters most to me and so far so good. Gonna get a second of these to upgrade my laptops storage. They’re cheap, high capacity and reliable

Looking at the price and some reviews i was a little dubious, however i installed this and it’s lightning fast! Using it as a game drive and can’t fault it.

Will have to wait and see if its as robust as some of the big brands are overtime, but time it ‘fails’ ill be due a full upgrade :p

    Faster than WD Black!
Firstly, this is a quick SSD. I replaced a WD Black Nvme PCI4 drive and this performs random reads 3x quicker and a good 25-35% faster read/write. Secondly, Amazon delivering the next day and offering installments and 4 year insurance for 6.99. Amazing stuff! Oddly you can’t use installments if you buy insurance but I guess that’s just how it is. I bought the 4TB version. Who cares if it fails if it’s insured!

It effortlessly shaves seconds off boot times and application launches, making my computer feel brand new. Large file transfers are a breeze, and I’ve experienced a significant improvement in overall system responsiveness. It’s like my computer got a shot of adrenaline.

With a generous 2TB of storage, the S500 Pro has banished my storage woes for good. I no longer have to play a digital game of Tetris with my files, constantly shuffling them between drives. It’s a dream for anyone who deals with large media files or has a massive game library. I now have space to spare for all my creative projects and games.

    Reliability (5/5):
When it comes to storage, reliability is paramount, and the S500 Pro has been rock-solid. I’ve put it through its paces with extensive use and demanding tasks, and it hasn’t flinched once. Its advanced error correction features give me peace of mind that my precious data is safe and sound.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReally surprised with the performance
I was a bit dubious as I’d not heard of the brand before, but I was actually really surprised with it. Replaced a reliable Crucial M.2 in my gaming laptop that was a 512GB, with this one.

Not only is the performance clearly better (I’d say about 30% faster? Don’t quote me though) but very reliable. I was expecting a high failure rate, but nope, absolutely solid as a rock.

I understand from a thread on a tech site that the company has a good reputation in China, the components used are very high quality, even if the brand is a bit unknown in the West. If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend trying them out before people realise how good this brand is over here and the prices get hiked.

Read/write speeds can be slow because of the enclosure
Read/write speeds way off what was quoted

    MacBook Pro 16″ M1Max 64GB, macOS 13.5

    fanxiang S880 4TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD M.2 2280

It’s a new s880 model with 4TB and seems to be 2x slower than advertised but to be honest this drive is connected through the enclosure to myt laptop, so I guess it could work faster without it.

Got this for my ps5 and boy was I surprised how quick it is compared to the ps5’s actual ssd. Way faster and way better performance in games too. Delighted with this and it’ll.even operate without a heatsink. I bought a heatsink though just in case.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is for the fanxiang S880 4TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD - Up to 7300MB/s
I bought it to clone my Windows 10 of my HP X360 which has only 0.5 TB NVMe ssd. The 4 TB is an increase of 8 times of the disk capacity.
I have confirmed before with a previous 2TB fangxiang S550 NVMe ssd, formatted to NTFS filing system with a GPT partition table and find it works for Linux and mobile phone as well as in Windows 10. That has a speed of 5,300MB/s.
The 4TB claims to have a speed of 7,300MB/s. When I tried to copy files from a Sata disk source I got about 530MB/s. This I believe was the rated maximum speed of reading the common Sata SSD as they peak at about 550MB/s read and write.
I then created several partitions in my 4TB S880 NVMe and can confirm moving data between partitions within the ssd I got about 1,400MB/s speed. I think the high speed is possible with more modern hardware as my laptop is 7 to 8 years old now. The file sizes also affect the transfer speed. Essentially small files slows down the speed quickly.
I can confirm the fangxiang S880 4TB does have the fully capacity as I was able to write data at the end of the ssd with intervening partitions in between.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersEasy to update PS5 Storage
Constantly filling up the internal 1TB drive on my PS5, I looked at available storage options. My first thought to get a USB drive to attach was quickly discounted when I discovered games would have to be transferred across as I needed them which would be a nuisance. I went down this option and I’m pleased I did. Assembly of the heatsink (provided) was relatively straightforward and installation was a breeze (the hardest thing was taking off the PS5 cover). As soon as I booted up the PS5, the SSD was recognised as a new drive and a speed of 6519mb/s was registered (lower than the declared on pack, but in line with what internet guides suggest is real world values). Well recommended.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersCheap + Works but came with 3 power on counts
Product = fanxiang S660 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD M.2 2280 Internal Solid State Drive – with Heatsink, Up to 4800MB/s, Perfectly Compatible with PS5, Dynamic SLC Cache

Which was only 72.24 (One of the cheapest NVME SSDs you can buy for the speeds it claims to produce)

Works but came with 3 power on counts. (Refer to picture)
Probably from factory testing? (No idea but basically new, so not worried there)

Speeds were similar to SATA speeds, but this was with the SSD inside an enclosure. So I may get faster speeds using a direct PCIe connection.

Cannot speak for longevity with these types of products; only time will tell.
At the end of the day, “You get what you pay for.”
So if that saying is true, I will expect this to fail within its Warrantied “1400TBW”, and only then will we figure out how this company Fanxiang solves warranty replacement.

I tried fitting the SSD inside the Heat spreader it came with, but it was very loose unless you used a thermal pad. It comes with 4 thermal pads, 2 thin (grey) and 2 thicker ones (white)
I tried installing this onto the SSD with no luck.
I don’t understand why 1 white pad doesn’t fit (Maybe it just needs to be mangled shut and will be alright)
Using 2 grey pads, it was too loose still.

Comes with a screw and a screwdriver in the box.
It seems to work okay for now, but I will update this if anything happens to the SSD or when I manage to test it inside a PCIE direct connection to verify if the advertised speeds are accurate.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our Usersfanxiang S500 Pro 1TB NVMe SSD M.2 PCIe Gen3x4
For 39 this is a no brainer. My Dell 3650 i9 Workstation Win 10 Pro already had an M.2 SSD System Drive, but only 500Gb, so not enough space left to seriously edit Full HD Video. Trying to use the HDD Backup Mech/spinner HDD I put in was hopeless, as just not fast enough, particularly with Adobe or Shotcut Editors, causing out of sync audio Timelines and very draggy. I tried a Samsung USB3 external SSD to edit from and that fixed all problems, read and writes between 300-400 Mb/s, as against 150 Mb/s of the spinner drive.

Disliking cables and bits hanging around outside, I looked at the Spec of the Dell Motherboard and found it had a spare M.2 SSD socket (The other one being used for Win/System). So, took the plunge and bought This M.2 SSD.

The only problem I hit and that’s not the SSD’s fault, is that screw fixing on the Motherboard was a standard screw fixing with no standoff post or spacer, which would have placed the SSD too tight to the Motherboard. Fortunately, amongst my PC spares, I had a short standoff post to act as a spacer. Removed the Motherboard screw, replaced it with the Post, put in the SSD, pushed it down and put the original screw back on to clamp it in place. Perfick!

I’m getting speeds almost the same as the Dell System SSD, but with loads of independent editing space and storage. It’s also running at a slightly lower temperature than the System SSD. The first spec is the Dell System M.2 and the second is this fanxiang S500 Pro 1TB NVMe SSD M.2 PCIe Gen3x4.

Only been there for a day, so can’t comment on longevity.

    Very happy.

Just to note, I’ve never had editing issues with my 2 main Apple iMacs, but then, they are totally SSD. So there’s the answer … SSD.
