I have been using these batteries for my solar lights and they work very well. They are rechargeable and have a low self-discharge rate. They can last for a long time and provide a stable power output. They are also easy to install and remove, and have a button top that fits most devices. They are not AAA size batteries, but 2/3 the size of AAA batteries. They are suitable for solar lights and other low-power devices. They come in a pack of 12 and have a reasonable price. I think these are good products for anyone who needs rechargeable batteries for their solar lights.

I ordered these Hebreepow Ni-MH 2/3AAA batteries to replace the batteries in my solar light panels. My partner said I needed some AA and AAA sized replacement for different lights. I didn’t read the product information properly , these are shorter than average batteries that size so don’t fit most of my lights . They did fit in one type of light though so I have plenty of replacements now . They cost 15.99 for a set of 12 which is reasonable considering you don’t have to buy new lights I think.

All of them arrived about half full according to my charger and were measuring at 1.28 volts right out of the heat shrink plastic packaging. These are seen as a standard NiMH rechargeable, assuming you have a charger that can adjust to the smaller size. Though keep in mind chargers that fit these aren’t exactly common or readily available as these are really just intended to be plugged into pre-existing solar lights that will charge them up. I just happened to have a charger that I’ve modified to accommodate odd sized NiMH & Li-Ion batteries in the past, and these batteries are the ideal size and capacity for an upcoming project I had planned.

They have been absolutely fine to use as low-capacity rechargeable in my tests so far, while using a 3D printed battery holder made for them. If you have a project requiring small batteries and you’re trying to keep things as tidy as possible, these are incredibly useful. Especially as any off the shelf NiMH battery management module will work with these just like any other NiMH chemistry based battery so you don’t need to mess around with battery swaps or custom sized Li-Ion batteries which can be more expensive and difficult to source.

The seller has made it very clear in the listing that these are miniature sized AAA batteries and as you can see in my images they’re clearly not standard sized AAAs so I have no problems recommending these.

5.0 out of 5 stars 2/3AAA batteries, fantastic for space limited projects, charge fine and work like a normal NiMH

These specialist rechargeable batteries by Henreepow are primarily designed to work with products like small solar powered garden lights. My wife has some Moroccan style solar lanterns and we found one that used this size battery — not AAA size but 2/3 the length. I thought I would charge the battery before using, but although I have collected quite a few battery chargers over the years there was only one that could charge this unusual size. These batteries are currently around sixteen pounds for a pack of twelve from Amazon so unless you have a garden that’s lit up like an aircraft landing strip you might find there are more supplied here than you actually need. Decent quality batteries for their purpose and better than throwing an old lamp away if it only requires a new battery. These batteries are more expensive than regular Ni-MH AAA batteries by Henreepow so get a four star rating.

I can see people seeing “AA” and thinking great, I need that for my remote control etc – these are not “normal” size batteries, but short versions. I have a set of solar lights in the garden that i’ve had for a couple of years. I hadn’t noticed that they were staying on less and less over time. I stuck some of these it as replacement power packs and saw a difference in both brightness and longevity. I was also able to put some of these in series and use them in a remote control car controller! So i’m pleased with them, but just be aware these are NOT a normal size AA battery.

A 12 pack of AA 2/3 rechargeable battery’s. The reference 2/3 means they are 2/3 the size of normal AA battery’s. This size is used for things like solar powered lights where they are recharged during the day in the light fitting to give power to the lights when the natural light gets dim after dusk. This pack of 12 at time of this review cost 16.99 that may seem a bit expensive but rechargeable battery’s do cost more and these are a good make, so I feel that is a competitive price. How well they hold there charge I will know once I have tested them for a decent amount of time and will update this review then.

I got these Henreepow branded batteries to replace a couple of failing ones in my solar garden lights. So far they seem to be working fine, time will tell how long they last but I have a lot of lights in my garden and by virtue of their location some get more use and wear than others so it’s hard to compare battery performance.

The only point of note is that these batteries come plainly shrinkwrapped which is a bit of a downside when it comes to telling them apart from 2/3 AAA batteries because that’s what I received. Thankfully I could use them in one of my lights so it’s not an issue but it would have been if I could only use 2/3 AAs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good replacement batteries

I misread thinking i was ordering regular aaa rechargeable batteries, so it was my fault for not reading the description.

These batteries are specifically designed for solar lights. I do have a lot of solar lights, so I should be able to make use of them. Average price for a pack of 12.
