Very shallow needs level surface
This is a very shallow bowl and needs a very level (not just flat) surface, our garden has a bit of a slope and finding a suitable location has been a challenge.
I do worry how it will cope with the frost long term but it’s a very attractive bowl for the garden wildlife.
Haven't seen any birds use it but no reason to believe they won'
We haven’t actually seen any birds use the bird bath but there is no reason to believe they wouldn’t. We will probably have to experiment with its position in the garden as right now it is maybe too out in the open and too close to a more prominent bird bath on a pedestal.
The paint has two chips in it and the paint itself has been applied sloppily. I assume this is as much a feature as a bug as it creates a rural handcrafted mood.

The concern is that it might crack in very cold temperature. Apparently plant pots have a tendency to do that.
Lovely birdbath with a natural rustic feel 🐦
DESCRIPTION
The Jacobi Jayne Anyplace Bird bath arrives in a brown cardboard box, inside which it is well protected with polystyrene on either side ensuring it arrives safely.
The birdbath is ceramic with the back and inner top being glazed. It measures 35 cms in diameter and is 3.5 cms deep. The shallow gradient allows for easy access to birds and insects. It has been tested to minus five degrees, so is guaranteed frost tolerant.
OPINION
I am familiar with the Jacobi Jayne brand, as being a member of the RSPB, they often include their catalogue with my magazine, so I know they are a trusted and reputable brand.
The bird bath has a lovely natural rustic feel to it. I could actually picture myself in sunny Spain eating a huge plateful of paella from it ! The green and brown tones blend in very well with my wildlife garden.
With the weather as it is at the moment, there is certainly no shortage of water for our feathered friends, so I feel this bird bath will really come into its own during the Spring and Summer months. I plan to place it on a table, in dappled shade allowing the birds to bathe in safety, and away from the neighbour’s cats.
The ceramic area around the edge which has not been glazed, provides the perfect grip for little feet !
In conclusion, I am very happy to recommend this bird bath, which not only looks very attractive, but also provides an essential resource for our precious wildlife.
Large but shallow
This bird bath is very large and quite heavy as it is made of ceramic. Only the center (the green area) is glazed, the rest is bare terracotta.
It is quite shallow, even in the middle – it is basically a very large, heavy plate; So it is best for small birds, I think a magpie would empty it quite quickly if they attempted a bath.
The quality seems ok – there are some air bubbles in the glaze and the colour isn’t very inspiring but I think it is pretty decent value compared to others I’ve looked at. I’m sure the birds will appreciate it in the summe

As an avid twitcher, I feed and water the birds that come to frequent the garden and jumped at the chance to review the birdbath from a trusted brand. I’ve picked up a lot from Jacobi Jayne over the years and it’s usually good quality gear.
The bird bath arrived well packed in cardboard and polystyrene packing which meant it arrived in one piece which isn’t always a given.
The glaze on the ceramic looks great and is claimed to be frost-proof down to -5C so I’ve set it up on the garden table and filled it to await the influx of visitors.
It’s shallow enough that rainfall should be enough to replenish it and not risk it becoming stagnant which happened with another DIY bird bath I made.
Time will tell but it looks the part for now.
Lovely bird bath
This is gorgeous, very natural and classy looking. The colour is lovely and will compliment any garden. The wildlife will love it too as nice and low so easy access, but it’s a good width so you can get a decent amount of water in. It’s easy to clean and very solid and sturdy, a lovely way to support wildlife in your garden and enjoy watching it too.
Lovely natural looking bird bath
I am so pleased with this Jacobi Jayne Any Place Bird Bath. It fits into my garden so well. I love the terracotta and green glaze finish which will make it easy to clean. The depth is perfect for small birds. it holds about a litre of water, it has gently sloping sides so insects can get out of it and birds have a secure footing, The bird bath is 35cm across which somehow appears bigger and looks just right. I currently have it on the ground but the listing mentions putting it on a wall or table and I may well try this when the drier weather arrives, I am looking forward to seeing the birds in my garden using their new bath.

This was a fabulous buy , perfect addition to my small garden . Lovely earthy tones and larger then expected .
Very sturdy piece , blending in beautifully in the garden , it’s had many a visitor so far .
Brilliant Bird Bath
An attractive addition to any garden for bird and wildlife devotees. It is light, easy to clean and move about. Great fun watching the birds drink and get a bath. Nice and shallow but with ample water when filled so any wildlife can get a drink safely. Highly recommended.
