Fit is fine uk average sizing. Quality of black dress could be a little better but considering it has 3 parts to the outfit it’s fine. Used for Oktoberfest and will last for the next one.
This item is a lovely fit and can be made snug by tightening the ribbon, unfortunately the length was too short for me as it comes above my knees.
It is also true to size.
I wanted a dirndl for an Oktoberfest party, without going down the ‘foxy serving wench’ route. This is perfect! It is well-made, with a separate blouse, dirndl dress and apron. The embroidery adds a pretty touch.
I’m 5’7″ and the hem just reaches my knee. I took the advice of previous reviews by adding a broderie anglaise petticoat (mine is 55cm long). I’m glad I did so, it fills out the skirt and adds a visible pretty under-frill of around 1-1.5 cm to the overall ensemble.
Sizing: according to the size guide, I’m in between a Medium and a Large (in most stores I take a Medium). I ordered the Medium. The waist fits well, the bust is just okay (a little tight, but not so that I can’t breathe!).
Going to Germany for Oktoberfest at the start of October. A lot of the Amazon dirndls are difficult to size so was pleased to find the xxl fit me perfectly as a U.K. size 20. It’s cotton with a side zip, no give but the ribbon at the front could help tighten it up if the dress is too big
This three-piece outfit feels like proper clothing rather than a costume, and as such represents really good value for money. I was drawn to the unusual colourway, which is true to the product photos. The embroidery is real (not printed). I recommend you choose a size based on your measurements compared to the sizing chart. I am a UK 14 and bought size XL because reviews suggested it comes up small. My experience was that XL is much too big for a size 14. I returned the XL and purchased L – it is perfect: it could have been made for me.
I wanted a Dirndl for Oktoberfest that looked nice, but didn’t want to spend a ton of money, and this one fit the bill! The quality of the dress is really nice, and I felt good in it, and found the price to be in the range that I was looking for. Would definitely recommend if you want to dress up for Oktoberfest but not spend too much money.
Lovely very happy but not quiet true to size had to order a larger one but fits well.
The first order had embroidered hem but second didn’t and cost more due to larger size.
Ordered this for a party and the quality is fab. Much better than I expected but exactly what I had hoped for. I read some of the other reviews and noticed that people were saying it come up too small. Normally I’d order up 1 size, but thankfully I ordered up 2 sizes and thought it might be a tent, but it actually fits perfectly. There is no give in the fabric so not much margin for error.
Ok, im a 22 and 42gg and i really really thought the 2xl wasnt going to fit…it did! Its tight, and you really need the right up and out bra but it did fit..im so chuffed!
'Mean' friends are the best kind of friends, science confirms says:
I’m a UK size 12 so initially ordered the medium but on arrival it was too small. Set up a return and ordered the large which arrived a couple of days later and fits great.

Love love love this!! Only fault the under blouse that comes with it is TINY – XXL My left nostril. My mum at a size 14 struggled to get into it!
Stood out from all the other blue and red dresses at the Oktoberfest I went to. Can’t wait to wear again.
