Small but perfectly formed
I bought this for small garden jobs such as taking off small branches and for cutting scrap wood for the fire. It’s not a big powerful saw, but it’s easy to use, easy to change the chain and adjust it and the battery life is pretty good.
This chainsaw is very effective. Cuts up to 4inch very well. The weight and balance is just right for one handed use. The battery charges easily and gives plenty of power.
I have found it very useful and it is saving me money.
Great for older lady
A great piece of kit for the price, so simple to use light weight for a 63yr old to use.
Cut through my branches like butter, saved so much time.
Great kit,bu
What a piece of kit for the price really good, powerful and cuts branches with ease, great battery life too, only trouble I had was that the second battery wouldn’t charge up so I had to return it,not sure about purchasing it again because of that problem ,shame
Bought for pizza wood prep
I have an Ooni however that doesn’t mean I want to spend 30 on a box of pre-prepared wood that gets burned at the end of the day. So my solution was to buy a bag of hardwood logs from a shop at 8 and cut it in half with this. I then chop them down the right size. No lie I have roughly 1.5 x the amount that comes in those boxes. It cuts so easily that I was shocked. I cut a whole bag in roughly 20 mins and it still has 30% power remaining. It’s very light but very strong at the same time. It’s in a nice colour and comes in a fantastic box to keep it safe from children. It’s very strong and will last a long time
Cheap & effective
Great little piece of kit for a great price, the supplied batteries don’t last very long, maybe 10-15 minutes at most, and they take a fair while to charge, but it’s good for occasional use.
I managed to chop through some fairly chunky 8″ sycamore growth, a little bigger than the maximum diameter specified. This is the type of job where the battery life is a problem for this saw – I drained 2 full batteries just cutting the section in the picture. But it did cut through it! It’s a shame it’s not standard DeWalt battery fitment as I’ve got plenty of those… Still it’s a very small complaint, and to be expected, given the price tag.
It’s best for cutting thicker 1″-5″ branches, as it’ll shred smaller ones, which are quickly & easily removed with manual ratchet secateurs anyway. Use the right tool for the job!
The oil reservoir is a very good feature, it’s messy, but it’s a chainsaw so you’re supposed to make a mess and clean it afterwards! Fairly simple to take apart & adjust & clean.
My first chainsaw, so I’ve no basis for comparison, but I’ve got very few complaints!
I’m a Ryobi man but their prices are just too steep these days.
The equivelant saw from Ryobi costs 150 and that’s just the bare tool.
So after reading reviews and with a discount voucher I managed to bag this little thing for less than 40 with 2 Batteries, charger and a spare chainsaw blade.
I was amazed as to how well this little saw worked without any issue. It chomped through everything I threw at it.
I charged the batteries and off I went hacking down bits of my conifers so that I could change a fence panels (as the conifers had grown over the fence).
This saved me hours of work over doing it by hand with a saw.
So impressive for the money.
I would definitely recommend this saw.
The best 50.00 I’ve ever spent.
Excellent value for money and very handy item.
It’s not the best quality I’ve ever had, but for 50.00 I’m not complaining and I’ll get my moneys worth.
ideal for pruning hedges, able to use on and within shrubs inaccessible to loppers and large handsaws. First outing cut though many hardwood branches, so far up to 50mm, without need to swap battery. If it proves to be be durable it will be an absolute bargain, If you haven’t already some chain oil order some at same time
Bought this to deal with someone else’s tree that was invading my garden, the batteries already had charge on them but charged just one until the green light said it was done. This handheld chainsaw is BRILLIANT! It lasted all day without needing charging up and went through the tree like a hot knife through butter, and it was not a little tree either. Love it.
Overall I’m very impressed with this little chainsaw. Highly recommended.
I was hoping this might help with a few small jobs around the garden but thought it wouldn’t be that powerful and would get stuck on the larger branches. I was totally wrong. It has coped admirably with everything I have thrown at it which includes cutting some oak branches almost as wide as the blade.
It is lightweight and small but powerful and very efficient. The two batteries is a bonus because you don’t have to stop when one runs out. It fits cleverly into quite a small case which takes up practically no room on the shelf. It doesn’t come with oil but it is easy to fill and the oiler keeps it running very smoothly.
80 years old, 5 ft tall weighing 50 kgs, I’ve never used a chainsaw before! There are so many garden jobs too big for loppers but irritating to wait for someone to get a normal chainsaw for, and it’s fantastic to be able to quickly zip through branches. My husband find this is a tremendous extra to his heavy petrol saw because:- it is quick & easy to start; easy to avoid collateral damage when trunks & branches are jumbled together; and so light to carry up a ladder and use with one hand. In my opinion, the screwdriver provided needs care to avoid burring the tightening screw, but apart from that small comment, I only wish I’d had this tool 50 years ago! Absolutely great! Oh, and comes in a neat carrying case!
akes a while to charge both batteries but when you get to use it, it works very well.
is quite powerful (took me by surprise) and need a firm grip, but after a while is ok.
put little “car” engine oil in the container to lube it, and also the tension adjuster screw works well.
i cut 4 trees with 6 inch trunk with ease and in few seconds each, then cut to smaller lengths ready for bonfire ;o) all on 1 battery ,, would recommend this to anyone.
pushing safety button then trigger handle is a bit tricky at first.
Works surprisingly well
This helped me cut back a lot of overgrown ‘jungle’ in my garden. It could cut through branches a couple of inches thick no problem. Its nice to have two batteries, tools and spare chainsaw chain in the tough carry box. I’m pleased with it.
Bought this mini chain saw with no great expectations BUT was proved wrong. Fantastic piece of kit as you can see easily cut off 6 inch trunk of conifer. Not sure about chain saw oil container lubricating the chain very well but had some Bosch lubricating spray for a hedge cutter so kept using that and worked brilliantly. The description stated 2 hours for battery recharge but that is nearer to 3 hours , no problem as it came with 2 batteries each lasting a good 45 mins of actual cutting. Chain needed tightening only once, came with 2 chains but would like to know where to get spares from just in case. Took out 2 year warranty just in case but at the moment very pleased with this purchase.
Light and easy to use, really pleased.
Would have given 5 stars but for a.oil leaks out into box but fixed that by inserting rubber o ring in top of oil filler cap.B,the nut that holds the plastic plate which covers the chain came off with the vibration and got lost in the vegetation.Fixed that by using my own nut with a spring washer so vibration won’t loosen it.
Do these 2 things and excellent tool.
It does the job
This saw works well apart from the oil button you have to press to oil the chain. It does not seem to work very well so I am having to spray oil on the chain to stop it from drying out.
Hi I have a few larger chainsaws. I bought this for my wife to use for pruning. I haven’t used it yet. I charged the batteries, put chainsaw oil in it (doesn’t come with any). It comes in its own case with spare chains, safety glasses and gloves. The gloves won’t protect your hands from the saw. It seems well made and robust. I’ll maybe get a go with it this weekend. Subject to it working half as well as it looks I’m well please with it and the price.
Well I used it at the weekend, just to try it. It cut a 4inch (100mm for young folks ) and decking boards without an issue. I have a few branches overhanging my mancave which may give it a better workout. I have to be careful not to use it to much as I honestly did get it for my wife !! It is very light & handy tbh.
20/07/2023 – I used the wee chainsaw today, hopefully the wife won’t find out. I was on the roof of a lean-to at the bottom of the garden. As it was windy (this is why women live longer than men) I used the handheld chainsaw… it worked extremely well cut branches 2- 6 inches with ease. That’s 50-150mm for you metic folks. The only thing I didn’t really like was the push pump oiler thing. I had no faith in it working well enough to oil the chain… so I oiled the chain every now and again manually. The batteries lasted very well you could have one on charge and by the time you flattened one using it, the other battery would be charged and ready to go. I’m very pleased I bought it for the wife . I have made it dirty so I’m due to get whinged at, deservedly so. I’m very hard on tools and this wee machine is good. Only other point to note is empty the chain oil out after use, it leaks through the wee air hole in the lid into the carrying case. I forgot to mention it comes in a sturdy wee carrying case which holds the two batteries, spare chains and charger + screwdriver to adjust the chain. Please remember it not a toy and can kick back so good gloves is recommended.
Handy tool
It does what it says the cutting ability is more or less exactly what they say I’ve cut through 5inch hardwood trees no problem running time is very good also good chains so I like i
