Bought these paint pens for drawing on our Halloween pumpkins unsure how good they would be. Well I’ve since re-ordered as they were brilliant! Kids spent hours everyday painting pumpkins & rocks we found on the beach. The pumpkins then went outside in the pouring rain & the paint is still there & looking great! Very waterproof!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic pens, beautiful colours, hours of fun!

This was my first time trying paint pens so although I have nothing to compare them to I am incredibly impressed with them. The range of colours is excellent, vibrant and rich. You get a pack of spare nibs and mini tweezers in the box which was a nice touch, along with instructions for how to use the pens.

So far I have tried the pens on wood and paper; they have an excellent opacity and coverage (the paint is thin enough to glide on well but thick enough to leave a solid layer of paint). I do a lot of painting on different surfaces and (for my purposes) the pen applicator is actually better than a paintbrush. I will definitely be switching to these for certain projects in the future.

Love all the colours and paint distributes well after a couple of clicks. Great for rock painting and come with spare nibs. The box isn’t great for transporting so you may eat to take a pencil case if you’re travelling with these pens.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI got the 24 pack as I wanted the extra colours and I was so impressed with everything about the 18 pack I thought they’d be the same, however the colours are definitely a different type of ink, they have a matte finish rather than shiny like the 18 pack, they don’t dry as quick and they aren’t as pigmented. Also the black is not black, it’s Grey, which is very disappointing.
Having said all that, these are still far superior to say, Chalkola brand, which I was very disappointed with. If I hadn’t been expecting the same paint pens as the 18 pack, these would have been 5 star, as they do have the staying power. Also they come with spare nibs and the bins are double ended so you can adjust for your project – the little nib tool pincers included are great.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe use acrillic pens a lot. These are lovely colours but shake and press all you want and store them with the ink pointing downwards towards the nib… The paint still doesn’t give a consistant flow. All or nothing for quite a few of them.
But I’ve had worse than these as well as better.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersGot these today.I love painting. I tried them out .You need to shake them first , then press the nib down several times to get the ink flowing. I love them
I painted on a glass jar a tree and some flowers with the fine nib.
The pens also comes with a set of spare nibs and a cute pr of plastic tweezers. These tweezers are to pull the nib out if you want to change from the fine nib to thick . Not tried that .At the moment happy using the fine nib. Could do some detailed work. Very pleased with them. Plus they have a brilliant range of colors.
One of the colors green was a little sluggish to get going .I think its getting better. This is a good buy.
    Footnote.
The green pen did not improve at all. This is one of the main colors i use when painting.
Customer service is excellent and very responsive. They wrote back to me and offered me a replacement. Then wrote again to tell me the replacement would be with me in a couple of days. It is such a good service.
    Excellent pens.
    Excellent customer service and support.
I am very impressed with this product. the pens works very well on glass.

5.0 out of 5 stars pens for glass, stone etc

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWhen you get them you must press the nibs down to allow the paint to fill the fabric nib, then they paint. Always draw light colours first, if you colour over darker colours it will stain the lighter nib and ruin it. If you draw over dry paint it can also block the nib so be careful to make sure the paint is flowing well and they’re clean before recapping. If they dry out, even resoaking them may not save them so treat them well. They paint on anything ordinary poster paint would, my daughter has loved decorating her room with them and if you make a mistake you can wash them off if the surface is wipe clean.
    Very pleased.
