Takes several weeks for it to properly start working but, it achieves good results, need to keep using it or you go back to having to wait for it to take full effect. My dog doesn’t pick up on a smell or flavour so doesn’t bother at all when it’s in with his food.
Dental care for dogs.
First time using this. I have tried lots of different types and none have worked out. It’s too soon for me to make any kind of judgement about the product. As it can take between 3-8 weeks before I would see a difference. Only been using it for one week so far. But my dog likes it and that’s a good thing for me.
Piece of mind for my cats teeth
I read a lot of other reviews about Plaque off so decided to buy some for my cat & find out, after 6 months of my cat using Plaqueoff his teeth are whiter & less of a bad breath than he did, it’s good for him, it’s piece of mind for me, enough said
Vet recommended
A build up of tartar was identified at my 6 yr old dog’s annual vet’s check up. Whilst not affecting his gums yet, the vet said as he ages it might so suggested taking action now. She recommend this product. Just have to add a small scoop to his food.
Well worth the money..smelly breath no more!
So far so good! Purchased this after looking for something to deal with my doggies bad breath. After only using it for a week, the bad breath has disappeared! Yippeee! It doesn’t seem to impact the taste of her food either so I don’t need to mess around trying to conceal it. A very worthy purchase and has probably saves me a fortune in vets fees!
Plaque remove
I originally ordered this for my 2 cats as their teeth were showing signs of tartar and staining ( also bad breath ) and I didn’t want a massive vet bill for cleaning them. The cats are 10 and 11 so I was sceptical it would make much difference. ……How wrong I was…..this powder is great…….so good I now give it to my 2 years old dog to prevent tartar. The cats teeth and breath have drastically improved and everyone comments on how white my dogs teeth are. Would definitely recommend
Dog doesn't mind that it's on his food
This has worked for my 10 year old pooch. After 3 weeks of using it his teeth are much cleaner. I sprinkle it on his food and he doesn’t seem to mind that it’s there.
Vet even recommended
Using this and brushing teeth with silicone finger brush or dog toothbrush. Initially told she would need to go under a general anaesthetic for moderate stage peridontal disease but reluctant as my dog is blind and 13 scared she wouldn’t make it. Another vet said just keep doing what youre doing as she is still eating and walking and had said he had seen worse she could go under GA and need loads of teeth out and be miserable and not eat at all so will submit before and after reviews in my next review as will definitely buy agai
It seems to be working
Fantastic delivery. Ordered one day and arrived the next. Really impressed. Only been using this product for a week but I am sure that there is some improvement and not just wishful thinking. Wish I had known about this ages ago and not just now when my dog is 12
It takes a while but OMG the difference is outstanding. I asked my vet about this product and he said that people are funny sometimes about letting their dogs have it but it’s completely natural.
My 2 springers have the most beautiful teeth now and the vet had commented at how good they are. I does take longer than 6 weeks but it’s a slow process. I will be buying this now always. It keeps their teeth clean and they seem to like it. Win win.
Really does work!
First off I’ll say when you first buy the product you think it’s going to come in a tub the size of the protein powder ones and it doesn’t it is tiny. BUT a little goes a long way and sprinkled onto my dogs food is making a real difference to her teeth. I read the reviews to that mentioned noticing a difference could take a few weeks and I took this on board. We are now into about the 3rd week of daily use and there has definitely been an improvement, we will continue to use this and see how it goes. Has also made her eat her tea more enthusiastically as mam announces that she’s putting sprinkles on in a high pitched voices and she guzzles it all up. Happy days!
So let me start by saying this isn’t necessarily going to replace brushing their teeth, especially if you have historic build-up like we had, but if you look at the picture included and imagine that the gums were bright red and the plague dark brown underneath, then this stuff definitely helps! I now have one of those finger tooth brushes and will endeavour to be more diligent at brushing to break down the heavy deposits.
Appears to work really well.
Using a combination of this, teeth brushing and chews has removed all of the obvious plaque and tartar that my dog had when I collected him. If it has a flavour (?) he either doesn’t notice it or doesn’t mind.
This product helps reduce build up of plaque as it says
I really do believe this product helps control the build up of plaque on the teeth. With a Lhasa apso with an overshot jaw her teeth do not have the ability to self clean, this product allows me to control the amount of plaque build up on her teeth from her food. This on top of brushing helps my dog have a healthy mouth
Great product really helps my dogs
Had used before, bought this latest batch for my GSD and Labrador/Husky. Both eat it happily and after a few weeks their teeth have improved significantly – almost no tartar without the need to fight them over brushing.

I used it a couple of years ago, it worked well. I’ve now re brought it and using it every day, so I’m looking forward to seeing the changes again.
My dog absolutely loves the taste and has no problem eating his food with it.
Works for my puggle
I have been using this for 2 years on my puggles dry food once a day. She is now just over 5 yrs old. We do not clean her teeth with anything else. She has dry food and half a small dentastick most nights. Every time she has a check up at the vets they are amazed how clean her teeth are, especially as Pugs have trouble with their teeth. I am very pleased with this product. A small tub has lasted us 2 years but she is a small dog. I will be buying another tub and would recommend. Obviously I cannot Comment on how it works if your dog has wet food.
Improvements
There has been some improvements to her teeth. My dog has been using for two months now and there has been lots of plaque removed but still some closer to the gums which hasn’t. I will try and up the amount and see if it makes a difference.
Can see a different in around 2 weeks
My dog is a rescue from Romania her teeth were very plaqued , only used this for around two weeks was sceptical but can see a difference and you only use a tiny amount in food
Does it work?
I like that it seems to work, but I don’t know how! However after some teeth extractions I thought it wouldn’t harm to use whatever to help plaque removal. Their teeth are certainly whiter, and no smelly breath, but that could also be due to the fact one has had a scale and polish (and extractions!) and I also use Virbac Hexarase after meals (but not regularly). So it’s 5 star for now..!
It works
I’m always sceptical about these products but it does work. I use it on all of mine dogs. The canines were getting plaque on. After about 6 weeks of daily use I’ve been able to scrap the plaque off revealing pearly whites.
Save dogs teeth
I was recommended this by my vet as my dog had a lot of plaque build up so after my dog had some teeth removed and had a clean of remaining teeth. Thus can prevent plaque build up and save dog having teeth problems through plaque build up.
For years I had been using an additive to their drinking water which the vet recommended. One dog has a bit of plaque, the other really bad breath. A friend recommended this stuff and the difference in a month is unbelievable. The plaque has gone by about 50% and the bad breath has almost totally disappeared. No idea what this magic stuff is but it’s brilliant!! Highly recommend
Easy to use
I just sprinkle it on dog’s food and even though he eats dry food he still licks it all from bowl so he must like taste. I’m not sure if it works but it’s worth a try
Some adverts and reviews might suggest that this is a one stop solution for your dog’s dental health. That’s not been my experience, but I still recommend it overall.
We’ve been adding plaque-off to our dog’s food for approx 3 months now. We had noticed a significant build up of tartar, particularly around the canine teeth and wanted to do what we can to get this under control.
We had been brushing using an enzyme toothpaste and seen some improvement. However after a few weeks of using Plaque-off AND continuing the brushing we saw a much more marked improvement in tartar removal. It seemed the Plaque-off is helping to soften the build up on the teeth and make it easier to remove. Our dog doesn’t do a lot of chewing, but again what little she does seems to have more effect now in clearing away the build up from her back teeth in particular.
Thankfully our dog seems to have no problem with the seaweed taste and is quite happy to eat her regular food with this sprinkled on top. We use two scoopfuls (which is a tiny amount really), so even the small size tub last a couple of months. Having seen the results we went for the big tub on the 2nd order.
So don’t think you can just add this to food and it will keep your dog’s teeth gleaming. Think of it as part of the process to make what you do (brushing/chewing) that much more effective.
