What I really think. I was walking my dog along the VERY rainy and windy beach. I’m so used to damp/wet jeans, I forgot about the trousers. When I put them on…..I knew I would never tolerate damp jeans again. They are BRILLIANT. I highly recommend them, tough, light weight and extremely well made.
Regatta waterproof over trousers Excellent value, super quality and correct length. I note that others have commented on the slit pockets – they have been designed that way to prevent driving rain getting in and soaking your under garment. Would definitely recommend.
ORDER YOUR NORMAL PANT Size! When ordering, get your normal pant size, tending towards smaller than what you wear. These are elastic and intend to fit over them
The price is simply wonderful and keeps you completely dry. Can be a little bit stiff, but that’s just the material.
Great pants. Small bit tight on bottom cuffs. Great pants, very good rain and wind protection, only thing I have to say is that the bottom cuff is slightly tight when you close the buttons. But it’s only a minor issue so not a big deal. All I all would recommend.
Fit's great! true to size **NOT FOR CYCLISTS** I’m XXL and wanted to buy XXL but saw a review saying to buy a size up so I bought XXXL. What I received were clown trousers that slipped down when I moved and the leg was a an inch or two too long.
I exchanged them for XXL and they fit great over my tracksuit bottoms even with my muscly quads from cycling, which I will be using these for. Be honest with your waist size and these will fit with room to spare.
**Update** As other reviews have said these aren’t too good for cycling because the side holes open up, but additionally the bottoms are so loose that the ankle my right side was catching on the main cassette. Doing up the poppers on the hem therefore shrinking the leg helped enough to get to work. Sad thing is the poppers bunch the hem on the inside so I also have to turn the trousers up to tuck it in because it was still catching the cassette. Trousers clips might solve this.
If you want these for cycling I recommend looking for something else or be prepared for some faff.
Cheap and cheerful, but good value Basically these are a relatively cheap pair of over trousers and not something a serious walker would buy, they are not a fashion garment, so quite why there are so many negative comments about pocket slits facing the wrong way and them being a bit baggy I am not sure. I bought these to wear when pressure washing the drive or to slip on if I wanted to do something outside when it was raining and to that end they fit the bill very well. The size fit seems to be about right for waist measurements and as others have said they are a bit baggy in the legs, but that is what you need if pulling them on over boots or your wellies and you will not feel restricted when wearing them. They are made from a coated nylon type material and should be water and wind proof, they have an elasticated waist and although of a stitched rather than bonded construction all the seams are taped to make them waterproof, they also have studs on the bottom of the legs. The material is quite soft and flexible with the usual swishing noise when you walk around, overall these are good value for what you pay and delivery was very quick. Just one final point regarding the pocket openings facing the wrong way and potentially letting water blow in, just put them on with the label at the front! And the slits will be the right way around. With these there is absolutely no difference in front or back, these are not a tailored pair of trousers, they are over trousers so does it really matter where the label is?
