Tastes like Gin to me
I really like this gin replacement and will be trying the other flavours. I have been adding some low calorie unflavoured tonic and that makes it an almost guilt free treat.
Just as good as the real thing!
I find this just as good as the real thing. So much so I no longer buy a separate bottle of real gin for my husband as he can’t tell the difference so is happy to drink this one with me! Not tried the other flavours yet, but this one is lovely especially with elderflower tonic. Only downside is it’s just as expensive as real gin, but I find it is usually cheaper on Amazon. Will keep buying as I do enjoy it.
This tastes good but sadly it’s well over priced for what it is. I now buy gordons 0% gin which is amazing and costs 12-14 rather than seedip at a whopping 22
I like this!
Bought this on a whim as I wanted to reduce my alcohol intake and was very pleasantly surprised. I wouldn’t suggest for a moment that it actually tastes like gin, but it definitely is a pleasant drink that could fool you into thinking it was alcoholic. I will definitely be ordering more!
Ok but rather expensive
Something special for Christmas for daughter who is not drinking alcohol at the moment. I tasted it and it was ok but she was pleased with the novelty of it. I think virtually all non-alcoholic substitutes for spirits are too expensive though.
Not a replacement for alcohol
I was looking for something that would make a long refreshing drink that contained no sugar, not alcohol substitute. It hit the spot for me but I would use double recommended serving as it is quite weak in flavour. Great over ice with rosemary and a slice of orange with soda. Dont expect it to taste like alcohol.
Slimming World Friendly
Quite a nice flavour and does feel (and make it look) like you’re having a grown up alcoholic drink when you’re trying to be good on the Slimming World plan. I have had the Garden version since though and prefer that as it has a more Gin like taste
A great substitute for the real thing
I am not normally a lover of non-alcoholic beverages, I feel that they lack the punch and flavour of the original.
This is the exception that proves the rule. I could drink this with ice and tonic all day long, and apart from not getting drunk, can’t tell the difference from the real thing.
Great Non Alcoholic Alternative At A Price...
Great alternative to gin if you’re not allowed or don’t like alcohol although it isn’t cheap. Mix with Fever Tree tonic water, throw in some sliced oranges and lime/lemon and a few juniper berries and pretend you’re getting sloshed.!
Great gin replacement. Very happy!
Love this product. It’s full of flavour and a great gin replacement during pregnancy. It has a lovely fresh, tangy flavour, which in my opinion isn’t too far off the alcoholic stuff. Great to be able to join my partner in a ‘gin’ and tonic outside during the hot summer afternoons. Would definitely recommend.
I decided to buy this one, following my previous purchase and taste of Seedlip Spice. In comparison to my taste buds, Seedlip Spice was very sharp and strong whilst this one Seedlip Grove is quite tangy and refreshing with its hints of oranges and lemons. This product will go well when mixed with fruit juices and would make good tropical mocktails as well as classical non-alcoholic versions of gin and tonic. I liked using this drink and in spite of any other negative review would highly recommend it to any adventurous drinkers who would like to try something new out of the ordinary. I do hope that Seedlip will continue to make great natural non-alcoholic botanicals like this one.
Quite expensive, but a good gif
I bought this for my teetotal dad for christmas and he loved it. I do think it’s a bit expensive for something that is non-alcoholic, but it’s a nice alternative for people who don’t drink alcohol or want a sophisticated non-alcoholic drink. Bottle also looks very nice.
Adult tasting sub for alcohol
Of all the Seedlip flavours, this is my favourite. A very subtle, adult tasting non-alcoholic spirit, which is great with a good tonic water. An excellent alternative if you want to join the party but want to avoid alcohol. Others I have tried have proved too sickly sweet or rather medicinal but this is just right! A tad expensive but now a staple on my shelf using Amazon Subscribe and Save.
Great help in increasing the number of alcohol free days. Anyone that buys this thinking it’s meant to taste like and Gin and Tonic is setting themselves up for disappointed. If you buying because you want a more sophisticated soft drink that orange squash or some bottle green cordial I think you will be delighted. Only negative for me is the cost especially given you need to use a double shot meaning it is actually more expensive than gin or vodka which doesn’t feel right given there isn’t duty on it. Sure as the non alcoholic area becomes more competitive so will the price.
I really, really like this. It does remind me of gin and I enjoy mixing it with tonic, ice and a slice and settling down after 6pm for a completely guilt-free drink any day of the week. I prefer the Grove (citrus) to the other two flavours. Refreshing and kind to the liver. Alcohol is now for special occasions. Seedlip is for any time I darned well please.
Great to mix with a plain tonic if you’re desperate to replace gin with an alcohol free alternative. it’s the best of the seedlips for me but it’s definitely not gin! It is expensive too! Really helps if you’re starting to cut down on your alcohol.
