I have owned a shark anti-hair wrap corded vacuum for a couple of years now. I’m very pleased with it & our carpets come up like new. Never had this with our dyson! Also, never had to clear hairs from the brush. This latest purchase is for a good friend. Also, it’s very well made.
Went with the corded because we have a large house and was concerned that the battery power would not suffice. Have found the cable length of 8m is not long enough without unplugging and moving to another socket. The Dyson at 10m was fine.
The lift off helps lighten the load especially when vacuuming the stairs and the suction is good. Having to switch between carpet and hard floor takes a little getting used to after the Dyson but in all am happy with my purchase.
It’s heavy. That’s said it is ideal machine if you have a dog, like we have (Labrador).who is shedding lots of hair . This machine is sucking deep into carpet so far.The bin is large enough to vaccum 3 rooms and couple of stairs .and still bin less than 3/4 full. The small powered brush for stairs is very vary noisy , specially as you have to stoop low near to the brush motor.
I’d give this a 5* review if it wasn’t for the handle. The joins in it rub the palm of my hand and have actually started a little callous the hoover is amazing though, so many good features. The attachments do fall off so I’ve just sorted them elsewhere.
Anti hair wrap really works well. I’ve a long coated White Swiss shepherd and his hair no longer requires unwrapping from the rollers. The pet tool works just as well. Great suction and pick up and lift away very convenient. Well package. Easy to assemble and also relatively light considering its size. Recommend
hav had over the years many many vacuums. My fave was a bissel lift off, which died after 20 years. This is the closest I have comme to suck, ease of use and getting the job done, highly recommend. I still use my dyson stick v11animal for small areas, but the shark beats it hands down.
When we first put this together it worked well for 2 minutes then died, BUT on contacting Shark we discovered the fault was ours as we had failed to ensure the hose was locked into place not knowing the machine can tell and cut out for safety reasons!
We were in two minds whether to even try this product given other reviews stating the same problem, but as we discovered the vacuum is a good one and the suction is amazing. It even switched from a white headlight to red if you run over something likely to clog the vacuum head.

I recently purchased the Shark Stratos XL 2.6 Litre Corded Upright Vacuum Cleaner and I have been quite impressed with its performance.
This vacuum cleaner has a powerful suction that effectively picks up dirt and pet hair from various surfaces.

Little bit heavier versatility brilliant maneuverability very easy I have used Dyson for years this is my first shark hoover so quite easy to use as well love swivel head . I have hoovered and beaten this rug and the pictures show how much dirt was sill in my rug I could not believe my eyes thanks shark you changed my life for ever .
This vacuum cleaner is the most powerful and effective from all vacuum cleaners I ever tried. It is designed with large families in mind. I have kids and two cats and this vacuum cleaners is perfect for us. It is quite heavy but after couple use I get use to the weight and didn’t feel it that much. I love the massive dust cup. Finally I can vacuum all my house without cleaning the container halfway. It is corded but it doesn’t bother me at all as it comes with 8 meter cable. It is more than enough to clean all floor on one level.
Works very effective with carpets full of cats hair and crumbs. Great that there is one multi purpose brush for hard floors and carpets. No need to change a brush during.
Overall, it’s great, time saving, easy to use and super effective. I highly recommend it.
This vacuum cleaner came well packed and was easy to assemble. It is a impreseivelooking vacuum and feels like it has a purpose.
I was surprised by how easy is is to manoeuvre into corners etc, the main unit can be detached and then Ithe head and ward can easily fit under low furniture, it works very well and makes life a lot easier.
The duo clean head has anti hair warp technology, this is a godsend if you have long hair, I was forever cutting hair from my old vacuum cleaner but this does to see to work well on this shark.
The duo clean brush is easy to clean as well.
This is not a cordless vacuumt but it is much more powerful though than a cordless vacuum could be.
It has a good level of power and very good suction.
It is not the lightest vacuum I have used but it is definitely not uver heavy.

I’ve never had a shark, and I’ve only heard good things about vacuum cleaners.And I was lucky enough to be able to enjoy this excellent acquisition.It comes very well packaged with very simple and easy-to-follow instructions, and assembling the vacuum cleaner was very quick.
The suction power of this vacuum cleaner is out of this world, and if you have animals at home, I guarantee that it will remove all the fur on your carpets or anywhere else.
The first impression I had is that it has a significant weight even when removing it from the main vacuum cleaner, so I don’t think it’s very ideal for those with mobility problems, as climbing the stairs with it is difficult.It has a long cord, which allows it to reach far without having to look for a nearby socket

I love this vacuum cleaner, and it vacuums everything very well.
This is my 2nd Shark vac and it’s an upgrade for sure. Definitely not as lightweight, but has the same anti hair wrap vacuum with multi-surface capabilities ideal when you have a hole with 3 women with very long hair and have a pet dog. Its design allows for easy manoeuvrability around the house, making cleaning a breeze.

I’ll start this review by saying I’m already a fan of Shark, already owning one of their cordless models which I acquired after having a competitors cordless model and Shark was way better! So I was excited to try a corded model of theirs.
It arrived in a smaller box than I imagined, but this is because it is well packed, with each attachment individually wrapped.
Looks and feels a good quality. Easy to put together and comes with odour technology which you insert and then turn the dial to decide how much you want to use (obviously the more you use the quicker you will have to replace the cartridge)
Weight wise it is heavier than my cordless model but with the added weight and size comes more power and better suction. The amount of dirt/dust this collected, seems way more than I get in a usual vacuum session (I’m pretty consistent with my weekly cleaning schedule), so it leaves you feeling very satisfied.
Easy to switch between hard floor and different carpet piles. The anti-hair wrap feature is something I’m familiar with from my other Shark vacuum and I’m so glad that this as it (honestly I don’t understand why any vacuum wouldn’t have it now). It is a god send for someone with long hair, how I lose so much hair and I’m not bald I don’t know!
There is a good size lead so can cover a wide area without having to re-plug and the lift-away is fantastic for the stairs or awkward to reach places.
I really do think with something like this the old saying “you get what you pay for” is true. It’s not the cheapest vacuum out there (400 at time of review) but if you are ok with a corded vacuum and can cope with the weight this is a vacuum that will leave your house feeling super clean and smelling fantastic and is well worth the price.
I used quite good brands hoover before but not a Shark one and to be honest after using this one, I can say that is one of the top of the range. It has such a great power suction providing a very deep dust extraction and it’s odourless, actually while using it I can smell a nice fresh and clean air due to the odour neutraliser replaceable cartridge (1 cartridge is included, but easily to find even different scents on amazon) and its filters and seals
my favourite part is that I don’t need to remove the hair from the rollers by hand after I finished hoovering, is designed in such a way that the hair it doesn’t wrap the rollers of the hoover even if the hair is long, quite smart. The attachments included help to reach places where it’s harder to get, like unde sofa or in the between storage boxes and corners plus the pet power brush attachment which is also anti hair wrapping, is perfect for sofas cleaning, perfect for pet lovers.
the only part which is inconvenient is that the hoover is a bit heavy 8.1kg, and uncomfortable to hold and manage around but I guess it’s only because it’s new to me for now. But the good part is that even if it has some weight, it can be detached which makes it easier for hoovering the stairs. Its cable seems to be long enough to reach first floor whitout changing the socket.
cleaning and emptying the dust storage which has a good capacity, 2,6l, is quite simple, just pressing the appropriate button to release it, almost all buttons have their function written on. For a longer lifetime I would suggest to clean and wash even the filters from time to time.
Overall, I love it. It may looks quite expensive for 400 but it does a great job and it is top quality. Perfect for medium size houses.
So, I was one of these that swapped to a shark cordless a few years back and thought they were great. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about going back to corded but I can tell you that my hoover picked up so much dust, hair etc that my cordless just didn’t get, I couldn’t believe it! I was in shock.
I don’t think I will use the cordless half as much now because of this!
The hoover is heavy when pushing and pulling on rugs and fluffy carpets but that just shows its doing a good job, it has a button on top to move between hard floor hoovering and thick carpets.
It has anti smell discs which you insert and turn the dial, the point to this is so that the bin doesn’t smell. I have it turned half way and I can definitely smell a freshness when the hoover starts up. It is easy to move around with a twisty base making it effortless round corners.
The bin also comes apart so that it’s easy to carry when hoovering stairs etc.
The hoover looks great and isn’t too noisy. Its easy to put together and the extra attachments are super handy! I am really impressed with this hoover and would say iv been converted back to corded hoovers again!
First I want to just start out this review by saying how impressed I am with this. It’s just fantastic. TLDR: You should buy it. Now the longer version with more details.
Comes in a nifty smart looking box. It’s very sturdy and the entire thing is very well packaged. I always think it speaks well of a company that pays attention to the details and bodes well to quality throughout the product. And of course a nice box that’s well packed means as a customer I can be sure this thing is going to arrive safe and sound. The box isn’t overly large because the bits inside are all separate.
The shark is really easy to put together. You simply click the bits together. It’s a breeze and takes just a few mins. Just snap them together. It comes with a can that contains the anti odour tech. You simply plug it into the vacuum too. You can set how much you want from low all the way to high by turning a dial. I’ve never had a vacuum with this before so I’m really impressed that it includes it.
But how does it vacuum? It’s incredible. While you vacuum it’s pumping out the fresh air thanks to the anti odour tech. The suction is really powerful. I have a dog and it had no troubles picking up the dog hair from the sofa and the floor. The anti tangle tech also works really well and chomps up the dog hair! Really no tangles!!! The suction is incredibly powerful. I really love that the lead is really long so you can get anywhere with it. The shark also tilts from side to side making it super easy to get under radiators, walls, and beds. I only have hard wood floors so don’t know about carpets but I’m sure it would do a fab job. I do use it on the sofa and it works great.
Conclusion: This is worth every penny. If you are considering getting a vacuum and want the best or you have a dog or deep carpets so you nee a lot of suction then I would recommend you get this. I can’t imagine another vacuum being better.
When you first switch to a Shark it’s surprising how you feel the forward motion on it when you switch it on, the suction is fantastic and switching to this it even got more up than the old one. Really impressed.
There’s a 3 position switch for thick pile carpet, thin pile and hard floor and the difference on each setting is real not just for show.
The vacuum is fairly plastic in construction but it’s well made and the attachments are great.
The lift away is a game changer, you can do the stairs easily and when doing kitchen etc can use it then to slip under the table, chairs easily, turns a big upright into a stick vacuum.
The dust collection bucket on this one is a decent capacity so you don’t have to empty it as often.
The anti hair wrap technology works well so if you have a sink blocker in the family it’ll save your brush roller getting clogged when you do the carpet by the dressing table.
The wand is easy to remove and use and is great when you use the lift away as you can go around the skirting boards easily.
The power cable is a decent length and makes doing the stairs easy, you should be able to do hall stairs and landing without needing to unplug.
The tuna fish can style packaged odour control thing is an interesting addition, and that combined with the anti allergy seal makes you feel like you’re making your home cleaner.
Really impressed with this Shark
I have always been a diehard fan of the leading brand with rollerball technology. I have heard great things about Shark but I just didn’t think it would turn my head. But then I got the chance to try this new stratos model and wow!!! I am converted!! The suction power is brilliant. It is easy to use with the buttons on the handle to switch between hard floor, carpets and rugs. All the attachments work well and you have the bonus of being able to remove the main body of the vacuum in order to do stairs etc. I love that it has anti hair wrap technology. With a long haired dog and myself having very long hair this is always a sticking point for me. The size of the dust tank is great too which means less times having to empty it.
However there are a couple of points that are not a deal breaker but definitely worth considering. It is not a light hoover. You can manoeuvre it easily enough but if you have to carry it upstairs then some people may find it a struggle. Plus it is corded in an age where just about everything or cordless. But the cord is very long and you can reach to the top of the stairs if using the handheld part of the hoover.
Overall though I can honestly say that I love it.
