The bike is pretty decent for the money, the frame and wheels are good. Setting the front brake up was tricky and time consuming, it’s not great quality but does the job. The tyres aren’t inflated and there’s no pump included — I didn’t have one so ordered from Amazon.
This bike is very well built and looks to be robust. It was for our just five year old petite granddaughter. After 2 minutes of I can’t do this she was hooked. It is quite hard to pedal at first but she soon got the hang of it and absolutely loves it. My husband put it together with no problems. All tools provided. The basket is plastic but much appreciated by the rider! Not get ventured out without the stabilisers.
Beautiful bike
Such a beautiful bike. I got it for my little girls 4th birthday. She is obsessed with YELLOW. It’s actually quite difficult to get a nice yellow bike that doesn’t look too boyish. She loves bringing her snuggly around in the basket. I would highly recommend it. X
Really pleased I chose this for my granddaughter – she loves it.
For the price, it seems surprisingly well-built, very robust and well-finished. The style too is great – despite having “off road style” mudguards, the whole effect is classic and slightly “retro”, and looks resplendent in yellow. One thing that is not apparent from the description is that the rear brake is an integrated hub/drum assembly, which is a very nice touch, and I wouldn’t have expected this given the low price-point.
Very easy to put together and the description which states “20 minutes for a novice” is spot-on. Just handlebars, seat and pedals to fit,then pump up the tyres – done!. These all went together smoothly using the (again) good-quality tools included in the package.
As for sizing, I chose the 16″ wheel version, which, with the seat set low, just fits my 4-yo granddaughter who is tall for her age at 109 cm. There is plenty of seat and handlebar adjustment, so assuming it does not fall ‘out of fashion’ – should last a good couple of years or more.
One negative is that the description states that it has a) a hand-grip for the seat, and b) a quick-release seat. The one I received has neither, but these are probably peculiar to the 16″ version. Neither is a particular issue as we no longer use stabilisers, or need to hold onto the seat, but worth noting. One addition I have made, is to order up a side-stand, as that should avert the temptation to “throw it on the floor” after each use…

Lastly – Would I recommend this? – most definitely.
